Bob Odenkyrk trained his ass off for this movie. And he actually said, that this maybe has saved his life in a way: he had a stroke after, but his body was so prepaired, that it handled it much better than it could be expected Also, you are very right about that feeling of insecurity after your home was breaken into this way. That was actually where this movie started from: Bob also had experienced this once, so whole thing is kinda dream of alternative ending for that event, that anybody could share.
@@dagreatestwonder23 that Shang Chi scene (the whole movie) is very close to State Of The Art. And this movie really surprises me while I was watching it because I didn't expect to be technically, and sometimes artistically, so well done.
Bob Odenkirk credits getting into shape for this movie is likely the reason he survived his heart attack a couple years ago (along with the excellent aid he received of course).
Hutches dad was an auditor and rewatch the scene in the nursing home when he smokes the two hitmen you can see the same tattoo on his wrist. Ryzo, who plays his adoptive or half-brother was also in the business.
I've been waiting for this! This movie is so much better than I've ever thought it'd be. I waited so long to watch it, only to be pleasantly surprised! Bob said that the training he did for this movie saved his life. He had a heart attack while on Better Call Saul, and by being in better health because of this film, he was able to pull through and recover.
Hearing the Better Call Saul intro when you were talking about Bob Odenkirk makes me SO excited. Your BB reactions are awesome and I can’t wait for you to see the treasure that is BCS. LOVE your reaction to the bus scene. It’s up there with John Wick and Daredevil in quality. 30:46 LOVE THE RZA REVEAL
Fun fact the writer confirmed in an interview that this movie takes place in the same universe that John Wick takes place. Therefore, it is loosely connected to the John Wick franchise.
This movie was AMAZING!! The back story, the hidden life, the Skillz bro. But the scene that tugged at my heart strings, was when Christopher Lloyd said goodbye in Russian "do svidaniya"! It was a Great call back to his roll as Rasputin in the animated movie Anastasia! Easter Egg? Great reaction man! Cheers!!
I'd like to think this universe coexists with the John Wick universe. I'd freaking love a scene where him and John cross paths and they share a mutual respect for one another. If they wanted to do more I'd love to see the two of them work through a room of bad guys together. Just as a one stand alone action scene.
Love the bus fight scene. Even a stone cold savage would take damage vs like 5 committed knuckleheads or whatever; so it's refreshing to see a scene where a dude gets hurt as he takes 'em out.
The logo on his coffee mug is a small reference to Better Call Saul, first noticed in the trailer. For most of us BCS fans, I believe it brought a genuine smile to our faces and even then we already knew this movie was gonna be really good 😂
Dude I love this movie !! So glad your reacting to it and yes bob odenkirk was phenomenal in this !!! Also the same people who worked on the John wick movies worked on this that’s why it’s not just similar but also soooo good especially in the fight choreography.
Yooo I’ve been waiting for this to show up. Fight scenes are so nuts, Bob Odenkirk killed the role. On an unrelated note I copped a PS5 and I’m so stoked, much love dawg
This fight in the bus is the only competition to the fight scene between Roddy Piper and Keith David in "They live" (1988), so it's hard to say which fight is the better one.
The tattoo on Hutch's arm is that of a 7 & 2 off-suit, which in Texas hold 'em is known as "The dead man's hand" as it is the least likely statistically to win in any matchup...so the man who plays that hand is either crazy, or he's so good that he can win with that hand...
Let's be honest, his daughter is as adorable as they come. They idea of someone upsetting her in any way would make anyone want to commit acts of violence against the perpetrators. Also, Bob Odenkirk in this role is one of the most inspired bits of casting I have EVER seen. It ranks up there with Rick Moranis as Dark Helmet.
Much love Primate been binge-watching your videos again lately and catching up. Fun fact about Nobody is that it was filmed in my home city in Canada during Fall/Winter of 2019. Keep up the awesome work and much love from Canada bro! 💙🇨🇦
Daniel Bernhardt plays the head guy in the action on the bus. Gets a bunch of his teeth knocked out, "Is it bad?" Well he's also in John Wick as the guy that tosses John over the banister and later John chokes him out while he's wearing ziptyes. I believe he works as a stunt coordinator also. He's very good. As we say here in Texas; Y'all be safe.
I don't know if you're ready for another tv show but my introduction to Christopher Loyd was as Jim Ignitowski in Taxi. Imagine Doc Brown was a vietnam vet who did way too much acid. That is Iggy. It's got a great cast. Danny De Vito is the manager of a cab company and Iggy, Latka (Andy Friggin Kaufmann) and a bunch of other misfits are cab drivers. You gotta check it out.
I remember watching this movie and I was utterly shocked and mindblown by the action, story, and kills are the most amazing things in this movie to make a grown person tear in joy 🥲 I am glad to see your reaction to this movie. I can’t wait to see more action movies in your channel. 😄
I'm all for the stylish, but still kind of brutal, choreography of the likes of John Wick. But Nobody's choreography is just downright gritty and pretty realistic even at its most ridicilous. I mean, take the bus fight. Yeah the main character wins that fight, but he gets his arse handed to him multiple times by the virtue of it being a 5v1 and half the reason he limps away alive is because he uses the enclosed space to his advantage.
Even though he found her bracelet i still see why he went back to finish off the entire gang and it's simply this. Because of his changed morals as a family man. He may be an assassin at heart but he also does enjoy the family life so he wants to defeat a massive crime boss so that someone who doesn't have his background won't go through same pain he did, worse he fears if it happened to another more innocent family man. Or in short it's like killing off pests as an exterminator. He knows he doesn't get rid of them, they're just gonna keep getting worse and worse to not just him but innocents in general
Before NOBODY and JOHN WICK there was PAYBACK. And I recommend the Mel Gibson remake in that it has a little more humor in it than the original. The recent BOSS LEVEL starring Frank Grillo, Naomi Watts and Mel Gibson again is a lot of fun too.
This movie, like John Wick, is basically porn. How many times have you thought, boy if I saw something terrible going down in public, I wish I could be a badass and stop it? That being said, I love porn sometimes.
This movie was sick I want a John wick movie with him coming to kill John wick but they come to a mutual understanding and team up but one of them dies
I’ve thought the bus fight scene was dope it actually was it’s hyped when I watch it but I haven’t seen the whole movie but I only watch the bus fight scene it was dope in my opinion I gotta watch the hole movie when I go back to Austin
You should watch "RED" 2010, staring Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and Kar Urban, bad ass retirees but more comedy not as brutal, 1 and 2 are both very good.
You should check out the directors first movie "Hardcore Henry" it's much of the same action except it's crazier and it's all in a first person POV. He also has a few of his bands songs in it and they slap.
Your not crackin shit, people always have that big mouth and 90+% are silent little lambs when it happens... and good for them, because thats the behavious that gets you out of it unharmed with the highest possibility...
WHO KNEW SAUL COULD HANDLE HIMSELF LIKE THIS!?
It’s best to call the ambulance when seeing Saul in action 😅
Bob Odenkyrk trained his ass off for this movie. And he actually said, that this maybe has saved his life in a way: he had a stroke after, but his body was so prepaired, that it handled it much better than it could be expected

When you don't call Saul
The bus scene alone is probably my favorite fight scene in recent memory, its gloriously brutal and choreographed.
Realistic version of the fight from Shang Chi 😂
@@dagreatestwonder23 that Shang Chi scene (the whole movie) is very close to State Of The Art.

Using the watch - which he only got back from the robbers a short while ago - to make his "punching hits" harder is a creative solution for a fight.
The chair throwing was the funniest, most unexpected part of getting info. I was crying in the theater from laughing so hard.
JohnWick + Sual Goodman = Masterpiece
I want a movie with John Wick and Hutch Mansell
Bob Odenkirk credits getting into shape for this movie is likely the reason he survived his heart attack a couple years ago (along with the excellent aid he received of course).

Hutches dad was an auditor and rewatch the scene in the nursing home when he smokes the two hitmen you can see the same tattoo on his wrist. Ryzo, who plays his adoptive or half-brother was also in the business.
It's crazy to think about that Christopher Lloyd (playing the dad) is born in the 1930s and he's still in such a good health
When Christopher Lloyd was sitting in the chair and started catching bodies this movie went from a 9/10 to a 10/10 😂
😂

Thanks man, glad you liked it!
Did you miss the post credit scene?
but with the feel of an actual fight, not a choreographed dance like JW
The pillow in between hit me personally when I watch this movie. I literally have been through that kind of relationship.
Fun fact the writer confirmed in an interview that this movie takes place in the same universe that John Wick takes place. Therefore, it is loosely connected to the John Wick franchise.

The director/stunt coordinator who did both films says he likes to believe that too.
the team behind JW is behind Nobody too. Director of JW, David Leitch, produced Nobody with his company 87/11 Action Design.
A vs film would be awesome
This is such a fun movie! This and Better Call Saul show how truly incredible of an actor Bob Odenkirk is!
25:25. Never underestimate an old man in a job where men die young.
Whoever thought of having Christopher Lloyd carrying a machine gun has my utmost respect.
Also the final fight reminds a lot of Home Alone lmao 😂
Love the bus fight scene. Even a stone cold savage would take damage vs like 5 committed knuckleheads or whatever; so it's refreshing to see a scene where a dude gets hurt as he takes 'em out.
They hurt the one person in his life that gave him unconditional love, his little girl. That tripped the circuit to go full savage.

30:48 That's actually RZA from Wu-Tang Clan
She's still with him because she realized how savage he was and that being with him is the safest place to be.
17:02 Taking the chair for 😅
Oh he is gonna talk to the other guys 😅
Burning up that vinyl record collection was the REAL crime of the movie 😣😩

Being a Breaking Bad fan going into this definitely enhances the experience 5x, or at least it did for me

The anonymous call at the new house was most likely from the Russian mob since Hutch burned all of their money, so they're coming after him.
