@@jaydenvandersluys8477 This song is by Fugazi from the Instrument soundtrack and was never really fully written. It’s performed by Ian Mackaye and was just rattled off one day as a demo between takes when they were recording. It was never recorded as a fully realised song and definitely not to be edited into a pre-existing film sequence as heartbreaking as this.
Ian Curtis. Legend. Shame he left us so early. Who knows what was going round his head when he killed himself, but his song writing was fucking amazing
Anyone here who hasn’t checked out more Fugazi, I cannot reccomend them enough. They are the most ethical, kind hearted, and well principled punk band you’ll ever see. They never overcharged for their tickets, never shilled merchandise, and they did so many charity shows.
I hope everyone here heals from their pain, I'm going through something terrible right now and I'm sending love to everyone here and I'm hoping everyone fights the awful things they're going through and live on
Just learnt to play this and first watch of the video despite loving the song for years. Everything about it speaks volumes, how its slightly off key, how the lyrics bleed into the next line, how the abrupt ending eerily catches you off guard. Every note so delicate and what a perfect video of Ian Curtis to match, it got my heartstrings real good. I want this played at my funeral.
This song is the sound it makes when you light up a cigarette late at night and stare into nothing as you robotically take drags. And also your bottle of booze is nearby dying faster than you inside.
Fugazi. Is the glue. Of Punk Rock. And Alternative Rock. But with one of the greatest minds of a generation. Thank you Ian. Thank you Also Epitaph. Fuckin epic.
WTH! One if not my favorite Fugazi songs for a decade and just seen this video 1st time yesterday. So perfect.. Everyone involved. At 0:36 even the second cig in his hand as he has a long ash on current cigarette.. Perfect. This is what I had in my head for over 10 years

I just realized this scene is from Movie Control 2007. It is about band names Joy Division (good band to listens to.) The person in the video is Ian Curtis (The Singer of the band) as you know He was died 18 May 1980 because of suicide, so this scene very suitable for song "I'm So Tired" by Fugazi

Yep, and that's why so many ignorant people are blissful, because they're not really looking forward to anything special, something more, something greater than themselves. We manufacture our own hope in a very contrived way, because without hope, without dreams, why even live ? Most people use stupid entertainement and common distractions as a way to not succumb to the pit of doom and despair that is reality. I tried to kill myself yesterday, because i felt stuck, i woke up in this shitty town i currently live in without anything immediate to look forward to and the reality of my dreams looking less and less realistic, but i don't want to die without having achieved anything because it would be, to me, tragically pathetic. We just have to find things to keep us going, but sometimes the batteries are hard to find. Sometimes you have to get to the point of no return just to feel something

Yes, this one and 'Cuts You Up' by Peter Murphy
im literally there right now, doing this exact thing. feeling dead inside.

Already been doing such action to this song running in a loop/repeating...
lol
This is, hands down, the best song about suicide. It always makes me feel better to hear someone else say whats on my mind.
How you doing?
its not about suicide, its just about being tired of society and trying to get away from it, but I can see where that comes from though.

i never thought a band like Fugazi would produce a song this melancholic. It came out as a masterpiece, and executed in the best way possible.
Fugazi either hypes me up to take on the world ,
or lets me slip into a deep sadness and let me feel okay with leaving this life
