Refers and Freezers are hard. Here's why. The watts is probably around 200-300 watts/hr. But that is when the compressor is running and its colling down. When the compressor is off, it's not using any energy. Where the unit is and how often you open the door will determine what the true energy needs are. In Florida, with no A/C, the house will get HOT fast and the refer/freezer will run a lot more. A 1000w power station could last a few hours or 10-12 hours or more. Just kind of depends on the efficiency of it and the environment its in.
@@EbikeReviews, yeah, I hope it’s winter if/when my freezer goes out!😄 I’ve read that if you run your freezer for 1-2 hours a day, it might keep everything frozen (as long as the door is closed). What are your thoughts on that? As a last resort, I would probably start a mega canning session. 🤪 I also have some jugs of water in the freezers, so hopefully the ice from that can buy me some time as well.
What size is your battery. Look at the Wh. If its 500wh, then you need a 500wh capacity power station to recharge it one time. If you have a 900wh battery then you need at least a 900wh capacity power station.
Hey Richard how about doing a video on how to safely ride an e bike during a hurricane?
Let me get my rain coat....
@@EbikeReviews Don't forget a hat and your galoshes.

I want! Need something to run a freezer. I have to check the watts on the freezer….

For 5 years now all ebikes rechargeable tools have been charged from power stations from solar panels I installed on my shed roof 😊
Richard, are you and the family (Toby, too!) all doing okay with this storm?
Thanks Jen, all is well. It stayed off shore further than expected so we didn't get much wind. Still getting rain.
What size will charge 5hrs an ebike 48volt battery?
