The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary's mission is to provide a self-sustaining African carnivore sanctuary for the purposes of wild species preservation through education, awareness and funding, especially pertaining to the rapid decline of large carnivores in Africa due to habitat loss, human-predator conflict, unscrupulous hunting, disease and their illegal trade.
To raise awareness, Kevin has now set up his TH-cam Channel 'LionWhispererTV'. The channel is all about raising awareness about not only the declining numbers of lions, but also how this rapid decrease is happening. By watching these videos, you are directly contributing to our scheme of land acquisition.
Kevin captures the majority of his footage on GoPro cameras, allowing the viewer to get as close as possible to the lions.
By doing this, Kevin hopes to give people an insight into the lives of these beautiful creatures and to let them see just what they can do to help. You can nearly touch them.

I'm from Spain and the story broke my heart back in the day. It's so good to see them healthy and grown-up :)

Oh my! how big they´ve gotten!! As a Spaniard I am thankful you rescued them from Terramítica, and I feel a bit ashamed that my country took part in such a wrong activity. Cubs are meant to be free and well fed, not exploited for pictures and money.

I love George! He's such a fighter! He's had some physical challenges, but he's just kept on trying. I know it must have been painful for him at times, but he's maintained a lovely, and loving, disposition. I love both George and Yame, but Georgie has a special place in my heart. Long life, boys!
Katherine , I agree , Georgie is also my fav , I wish a children book would come out about Georgie disability and he is such a fighter .
They've grown into truly handsome young lions! Not cubs anymore. Despite George's problems, he looks very happy and healthy, as does Yame! Excellent work, Kevin! I know you've done much to foster their growth, but love was the biggest (and best) part of their upbringing. It has been a pleasure and privilege to watch them grow. Thank you for sharing their journey with us!

I just love these amazingly beautiful animals. George's back legs make me sad considering where he came from. I'm so happy that Yame and George are with Kevin and his staff now. You can just see the love and care they give those lions! And all the other animals! God bless Kevin and his amazing staff! :)

George was the name of my baby brother who died in 2008. He was a fighter too with a heart of gold.

Watching them from their childhood to young age and becoming a mature lion is precious experience. Today thse two went for enrichment walk in Rain. Loved it ❤️❤️❤️

These vidio of Yame & George makes me smile. Yame grew handsome & healthy, whereas George suffered weak bones due to malnutrition in Spain. Thank God he is doing ok with a slight deformity in walking. Never mind this, George is healthy & happy now. Thank you Kevin for saving this 2 lions. Hoping there is a STOP to manipulating wildlife for money!!!

I’m from Spain but I’ve never been in a zoo or circus or anything that involves animals in captivity for the sake of some peoples entertainment, it’s amazing what you did and what you do I hope that in the future more ppl can help so we can have more lions again living in their natural habitat!

What a sad tale of their plights in Spain had me in tears. And then they met their dad and how happy Kevin has made them. A family for life. Poor Georgie he never quite healed properly.
That's really interesting, I visited Terra Mitica theme park in Spain in the year of 2011 with my family, don't remember any lions though, it could have been before or after I visited. It's terrible to hear how they were treated but they appear to be enjoying life now thanks to you Kevin, love your amazing work, BRILLIANT!

I enjoyed being able to relax and watch George and Yome. Every night after work or chores are done, I go before God for a couple of hours for every soul He lays on my heart. Being tired and before I go to bed after worshipping songs and listening to Bible I come here to the lions. You and the lions made my list along with my daughter's barrel racing horses.
What a sad start in life. But what quality of life they have now thanks to Kevin Richardson. T

Oh my goodness. About 35 years ago the mall by us had lion cubs and I actually had my 10 year old daughter hold one and they took a picture of her holding the cub. Had I known back then about how the lions were treated I NEVER, EVER would have been a part of that. So sad! So very, very sad. Thank God people know about this now and I hope this awful practice will stop!
George always makes me cry because of what happened to him AND the miracle Kev and Peter have brought about. You can really see the improvement by looking at that old video.

When an animal has defects or is abused and it causes defects, they are then considered animals with special needs. Their story touches me bc I have 2 sons and one has special needs. But the bond between them is amazing. I can see that in the animal kingdom too. beautiful..really is.
