Hi I have watched all most all your video or vblog. I would use G68 and G69 for things like at. Here is a example of how to us it hope it helps you with other jobs. love the tips on 4th axis trying to learn it and Im getting it ,im a self taught in mastercam and solidworks im wanting to become a programmer, i have cnc machine and practice drawing and making things, but i find it hard sometimes when i draw a part and import it to mastercam and i dont know how to close surfaces that are irregular to surface to contour the shape to rough and or surface mill an area with gaps on the surface. i would love to see a tutorial on that been at the same drawing for a week and found a way to do it but was hoping if there are some easier ways to do it thanks and keep up the work man i wish i could work in your shop 👌
Interested in how you ensured your tail stock was directly inline with your chuck. I am assuming you run an indicator back and forth? I would like to see how you did that.
Easier to transform the tool path around or macro in some logic. Some machinist are scared of using macros but properly programed macros make for great productivity.
I have a fadal 3016 fanuc control, I have a problem with the fourth axis, I mean the A axis, when I want to record letters in a cylinder runs the first line of the program, and to make the change in the angle rotates the axis completely 180 degrees to make the angle change.
Love it man would have never thought of that! im just getting into hobbiest machining and have a small lathe thats trash but has a good chuck that i am going to canibalize, (ancient sears little 4" thing feed rod is gone and half the gears out of the drive is gone) definatly a subscribe man! thanks!
Thanks brother! Hey man, make sure you save the parts from that lathe - you never know when you need a spare chuck or worm gear. Keep an eye out for machine auctions - you can get manual equipment for pennies on the dollar when plants shut down!
How much is that gate going to cost. Bet that gate ain't going to be in my neighborhood. I don't like sub programs or macros, they are just a pain in the ass. Back in the day, 70's Hass made retros CNC for Bridgeports very very weird. It was some kind of conversational mumbo jumbo. The program was put on magnetic tape cassette to transfer to controller on machine. You sound Canadian. Sean
Haii i have a doubt on fourth axis..working How can u mark angle of the chuck perpendicular to tool axis..aftr frst operation it will move to 90 degrees how can u identify the frst positio And if i need to make slot at 33 degree is it possible and how i have to write programme..
Not knocking you, but i could've programmed that whole part in 10 minutes with Fusion 360, without editing and adding anything, and knowing nothing will go wrong from editing something wrong.
Those spacers are a good idea for 4th work. I'll be using that one!
dope stuff my man!!!!

Hey, just saw this. What a nice, clean, simple approach. Really like it.
thanks for showing us these stuff, more pls
My pleasure, I’ll get back on these ASAP! Thanks for watching!

nice work man!
Thank you sir!

chuck your piece, indicate your piece, put the tailstock in.

Can we see the finished gate? Thanks!
Great vid dude thanks 👍
Cool.Like it.Thanks.
Just got on your videos good work man!
Thank you sir!

Excuse me the two spacers tha u at at the ends ... the drawing wanted treats at the end of the aluminum part? Or ? Btw great video
I have a question on how to do a g-code on a part I have with a 4 axis machine
I doit so many times ,, good set up ,, i like sub routine if you know it’s really easy too

I am indeed Canadian! The gate is for a boutique condo building in downtown Manhattan - it ended up turning out quite nicely! Thanks for watching

You use absolute or relative position, you have to set a degree as your zero.
@@LetsMachine if i place jaw 1 will be my zero degree offset
Then i need to rotate it to 55 degree..
How can i write the programme..for it
G00 G90 G54 A55.0
Judging by the size of that material those are some expensive ass fence posts.
from Ro
I would have put the program into a sub routine and the main program contains the A Codes
Dude please buy a mill for Curtis he's still on a hurco
Who’s Curtis?
@@LetsMachine would u buy it if you knew him? He's a great guy
