I saw this show in Dallas when they opened for Iron Maiden in 1984. 100% the best rock show I ever saw. I still have an old driver's license from the 80's wearing this wasp concert shirt, back when I used to have long hair...those were the days.
1986 they were opening for KISS. Saw them in March 1986 at the Cow Palace. In the summer of 1984 they were supporting Iron Maiden. Saw that show on Forth of July 1984 in Sacramento. It was a day show and hot as fuck
Hi, you are lucky. In 1984, I saw Maiden during the Slavery Tour in Belgium, and it was these suckers of Motley Crue for the opening, it was impossible to recognise the songs and the riffs, they were all fucked up. I'd prefer to see Wasp. And Maiden was magic, of course

Back in the day when going to a show was to enjoy! Where everyone would take out their imaginary guitar from their pocket and enjoy a 1 hour concert (sometimes it wasn't even that long) but they really enjoyed it! We spent weeks talking about what we had seen to those who hadn't been there! We idolized the band and were VERY happy like that. Nowadays these young people go to a 2 to 3 hour concert and spend the time with their phone in their hand filming something that they probably won't ever see again! I honestly miss my youth .But it is the evolution of the times as they say.
true. music nowadays is really mechanical like some ai is playing. for those of us who express themselves through music and dont just listen for the sake of listening we know that music nowadays is really lackluster in this component
Oh wow this remaster is just amazing, I have this on an old VHS tape which is really low resolution, but a fantastic concert none the less which I would of been just a toddler at the time and now can watch them and feel like I was there by watching it in my theatre room full blast. 🤘♥️🎸
I don't care what you say , very few voices can hold a candle to Blackie , I am a singer and people ask me , "if you could sing like anyone else who would it be" I always reply either Dio or Blackie , some people know Dio , but most people don't know Blackie , and I find that to be a beautiful thing and a sad thing at the same time
Blackie Lawless is one of the most underrated Metal vocalists of all time. In fact, the band itself has been undervalued for decades. But Blackie sure doesn't give a f#$k about that. Those who know him (like us) know how to value him and that is what counts for him.

Saw them 4.5 months after this, Feb 15th, 1985, at a bar in ST.LOUIS metro area. A little band named METALLICA, on their RIDE THE LIGHTNING tour, opened for them with Armored Saint... Best day of my life....
After watching this, you know why W.A.S.P. became so popular. Of course the first record was and is perfect, but these live performances cemented foundation for decades to last. This is the line up that comes to my mind, when someone says W.A.S.P. Yes, I bought the firs album as LP when it was released 🙂
I was given this VHS tape, free of charge, a week before it was released by the owner of my local record store, (remember record stores?), because he knew I would lose my 15 year old mind when I saw it. It took me the rest of the year to save the money to buy a VCR,$410 back then. The rest is history, lost my mind, still losing my mind and still watch my old VHS tape regularly because I still have the same VCR. Tie between this and Live After Death. Also, same TV from back then.
Yo los vi en Barcelona en Abril y disfruté muchísimo! Además por suerte salían con el culo tapado🤣😅. Espero que también los disfrutaras, estos tíos son una jodida leyenda!! 🤘😎🤘
I saw them at The Salty Dog in Buffalo. Not sure of the exact year, but they were touring with Metallica on the ride the lightning tour. There was a huge blizzard, and we were stranded in Buffalo for a couple days before we were able to drive back to Syracuse. Badass. Armored Saint played too.
And the next day they were playing in Scranton, PA, and my friends and I had tickets. They never made it there because of that blizzard! That would have been an amazing show to see. Still bummed about it.
Remember when we would go to concerts and actually have the best times WATCHING and LISTENING to what we paid to go see and never spent any time trying to video a concert on a phone?
