I still have my vinyl copy of W.A.S.P. from 1984, great album. If you look carefully near the inside next to the label, it says "We Are Sexual Perverts"
@fullinbloom I love this because, for one, I'm a longtime WASP fan. And I never knew Don Costa was in that band prior to their first release. It really delves into the true history of the band and the drama surrounding the making of such legendary songs that I grew up with. I'm 56 now, and so much has gone on with that band. I'm anxious to see the part 2 of this.
That’s funny😂. I wonder if Blackie even noticed that the revelation that he came to about releasing songs less polished that sounded like opening a can with pliers was EXACTLY WHAT THE PRODUCER WAS TRYING TO TELL HIM 😂😂😂.
I remember watching WASP 17 times at the Troubador, Chris Holmes would give us tickets, and we'd get in the door for like $3.00, but you had to buy a drink, I wish I would of seen that first show with Don Costa, he was a trip to see. He used to be the bass player for a band called Donte Fox, which later changed their name to Great White.
I love how he gets everyone’s take on it and synthesizes it into a coherent stream of consciousness. Great journalism! Too bad the so called mainstream media can’t do this kind of stuff! Lol🎉😂
I got to see W.A.S.P. in concert for the first time a week ago in Little Rock, AR. They were a bucket list band for me, and while the actual show was extremely tame compared to even "lame" levels of heavy metal shows (lol) I didn't care. I loved this band from the first album and seeing Blackie perform live was one of my rock and roll dreams come true.
It's hilarious because of Chris's ignorance of anorexia. He honestly thought that she starved to death for a lack of being fed. This guy wasn't the brightest bulb in the chandelier when he was younger, despite being a great guitar player.
You should do a video on Jack Russell and how he tried to rob a drug dealer in 1978 and shot a maid living in the house. Dont hear much about that from Great White
The Woodstock wasn’t in Los Angeles it was in Anaheim which is in Orange County on the corner of Beach Blvd. and Ball Street. Please do check your facts. Thanks

@SonicVR12 No, not everyone knew what anorexia was back then if they didn't know anyone who was suffering from it. Do you really think that a guy like Chris Holmes or any regular person on the street was familiar with medical or mental health conditions? This guy's whole life revolved around surfing, fishing, music and drugs and alcohol. I'm pretty sure that he barely made it through high school, if he graduated at all. I never got into WASP probably because when I was 8 or so my mom took me to the mall with her and while we were walking through Sears I saw the new WASP LP and wanted it. My mom took one look at the cover and she was like “NO WAY that Blackie Lawless is sick”. 😂 Real fucking story man! 😅
