Your railway looks very realistic. We celebrated Mallard's record run with a Hornby Live Steamer in 2013 around the garden with guests. It ended in disaster. If you click the logo on the left you can find the appropriate vid.
Is this noise by design or did something go wrong?! Also, calling it the Record Run but having the number 60022 is bizarre as when it made its run it was 4468
I never thought Id see the day when a trainset, railroad spec loco and coaches ran on Little Bytham. Ive have been thinking however that this would be a wonderful trainset for my Grandson. Until it failed. May I ask what actually broke? Did anyone smell aniseed? (If you know, you know) 😊
Would what cost? The train (loco and coaches, which comes with a simple loop of track when you buy it) - £250 I think The entire model railway - Looks to be maybe 3k if not more

Motion is either damaged or broken/lose left hand side, thought I could hear it clicking on some clips now I can see what at 2:35.

Oh dear! A Hornby failure…………….!
Blimey. That's not very good is it? Many thanks for sharing.
Very realistic - after all, Mallard's big end was damaged after its record breaking run.😀
I’m sure they used railroad vale gear on this model and change a lot money for it

Delightful! Wonderfully crafted layout!! 👍

What an incredible layout, jaw dropping!
Certainly did break in record time, no question about it.
Managed to get this set for an absolute bargain on ebay, whilst I like it, I'm very glad that I didn't pay full price
Sounds like a bachmann g-scale after warming up
Looks like it could use a Comet chassis
Whoops
Just one question, how much would all this cost?

What’s that horrid humming? Not the Mallard, surely
Yep, motor detached from gearing.
Nice scenics on that layout. Where is that?
Little bytham
