D&D do deserve all the blame, they refused to work with other writers and wanted to do the show alone. They could have put their ego aside and work with other writers to improve the show
Well, they wouldn't have been in soo much trouble if George finished the bloody books. You can blame them for their ego in adapting material not yet written, but who's fault is it for the material not being written?
@alaaaxpruski6559 and, without knowing WHERE that plotline will go? Take Arianne Martel. Will the Martels eventually join Daenarys of Faegon? Imagine the complexity of the Faegon plot line, and who knows where it could go?
I'll never forgive them. It feels more like they just wanted to quit the show as fast as possible so they can move on to other projects and don't care. For that I can't find myself interested in anything they ever work on again since they showed they can't commit to one project.
@@colvamoon6962 as I said in my original comment, not refusing to work with other (better) writers could have helped when writing a complex story. I don't hate them for being writers, I'd probably be horrible too. But they had a chance to get help. HBO offered to make 10+ season, more writers, everything. But they refused because they wanted all the credit and they wanted to end it as fast as possible and thats what I hate them for
Its definitely where I'm starting to lean now Psub. What better way to avoid being anti climatic than being as anti climatic as its possible to be lol Thanks for watching as always! Liam
@@TheFandomeClips adding on to your theory about the others’ timing being opportunistic and due to the nights watch changing their weapons, 2 other factors would be magic getting stronger for some reason and Craster existing and being the way he is. I say Craster because the others are few in number now but before Craster started offering his sons as sacrifices they were even fewer in number and probably much fewer %wise. Someone North of the wall giving them baby boys like that has probably never happened before but now thanks to him they’ve been able to replenish their numbers. One other thing is that the numbers of wights they can command is limited by the number of corpses north of the wall and so they would’ve had to wait for the bodies to pile up before they could make a serious attempt
My theory is that there is no magic involved in making the Wall. It's just been a giant Reverse Uno Card against the White Walkers. When the White Walkers were away, the Night's Watch had to maintain the Wall. Now the White Walkers are advancing on the Wall in great numbers and their freezing effect is hardening the Wall. Sure, the White Walkers and their wights could breach the gate and flood through the tunnel. However, it would be GRRM's kind of delicious irony for a well-meaning king (perhaps described as a False Dragon) to send caches of Wildfire to the Night's watch for their fight against the undead. All those jars of wildfire being handled by ignorant wildlings and incompetent Night's Watch brothers. All it would take is someone dropping a jar, igniting the entire stockpile, and blowing a gargantuan hole in the Wall.
Bloodraven!!! Good to see you in the comments buddy! I love the theory regarding the wildfire. I really do think the wall etheir doesn't work or humanity brings it down through their own actions, both just seem very George to me lol. Thanks for watching as always buddy! Liam
I think the reason why the wights passed through the wall in the first book is the night's watch brought them. The other's need in a sense permission from members of the watch to get past the wall. If say the white walkers capture one of rangers alone and offer to spare him in exchange that he escorts them through the wall. It would only take a single other to be ushered through then when it's south of the wall It could build another army of the dead
That is honestly a bloody brilliant theory 👏 kind of like Vampire's and how they need to be invited in and yet another way for George to say "yeah humanity is so stupid" 😂 thanks for watching! Liam
I like that. The vows of the Nights Watch being a spell to say only a member of the watch has the authority to grant passage. That would explain why the dragons couldn’t fly over, their riders weren’t members.
@@washingtoncommandcenter5541If he's revealed to really be Jon's uncle in the books, i think he officially stopped being a ranger of the watch the moment he was technically dead "even though he's been reanimated and has his own will"
@@arvintyree1109 He's not Jon's uncle in the book, but clearly a former Ranger, still the point is he's with Sam, who's a current living Night's Watch member, but he still can't pass.
I actually really like the idea of ice dragons being the wall. That could be how the horn brings down the wall, it just wakes up the dragons that are in it.
I don't take issue with there being an ice dragon hidden under the wall, where I think it gets silly is the idea that the wall is one big ice dragon . The wall is 700ft tall and hundreds of miles long. If that was the case the others would be the least of The Livings worries lol Thanks for watching matey! Liam
Here's my take. We know the First Men conquered Westeros from the Children of the Forest, and they may or may not have developed the Others as a weapon to use against them (it's fact in the show, but idk if the books have confirmed yet). Perhaps the Old Night was ended when Brandon the Builder made peace with the Children, who then called back their soldiers and built the wall to keep the First Men out. This may explain why the Night's Watch must take an oath of celibacy and surrender their inheritance, to prevent ancient kings from claiming protected land. However, this gets complicated by two things. First, the Andals then conquered the First Men, chopping down the weirwoods and installing their own cultures and religion everywhere south of the Neck. It's commonly believed that magic is fading in the world, but magic seems relatively abundant outside of Westeros, as Essos has multiple hotbeds of sorcery and Sothoryos is still very mysterious. Therefore, I believe that the magical enchantments have been weakened as Westeros itself is just... less magical. Second, the Wildlings which live beyond the wall. I think they may have began as Night's Watch deserters, and gone on to break their oaths and live free (something which we know is very tempting with their very regimented lifestyle), and that their cutting of weirwoods, killing the Children, and overall being a nuisance upset the balance beyond the wall and caused the Others to awaken. Thus, the Wall's enchantments WERE real back when Aegon's dragons refused to fly over them, but have long faded with the decline of Westeros's magic and the breaking of oaths older than history itself, and is now no more than a physical barrier. In this case we'd have George's favorite themes at work, AND to my knowledge it should all fit? If any book readers have notes I welcome them.
Honestly love the idea and it definitely fits! Sort of along the lines of the magic failing because of the watchs corruption but instead its failing because magic in general is failing! Thanks for watching! Liam
Hmm, I must disagree! The kind of magic in the wall is the kind that's in Storms End, literally woven into the wall and still functional thousands of years later. Magic is/was weakening before the dragons came back, but still.. Cold Hands couldn't get through the wall, ans the wights that did needed to be carried through (after being approved by the commander at that).
@plasmiusphantom I hear what you're saying, but I think it's possible Cold Hands only thought he couldn't pass the wall. Conjecture and speculation either way. "GRRM, where's that next book!"
@viperblitz11 an interesting take on the situation. It could have made for a great scene, in which the men of The Nights Watch realize that the magic of the wall is gone. I can imagine them looking at each other with wide eyes in that "wait, what!? Oh fuu...." moment
2 issues I can think of, 1) the magic in the wall is built into it to prevent magical things crossing similar to storms end and those protections still work and 2) the andals had come around milenia before Aegon’s conquest so if it was their actions that caused the weakening of magic in westeros then the dragons would have flown beyond the wall (also we know magic is weaker all over the world based on the warlocks of qarth)
I love that last theory about the wall, and though there are many others I'm fond of, I think I like this one the most in application( the actual story to be told).
@@ricardogomes3820 Detection of the weirwood net north of the wall and they naturally avoid it to avoid being warged, since the children are on the other side? Or the temperature variation of winds on the other side of the wall?
@ricardogomes3820 it might be that there is magic involved, but, as stated, the magic is untested against the Others. It might scare off dragons, but not Others. It could actually reinforce their belief that it could stop the Others. If it could stop the mightiest force in Westeros (at thr time), they might falsely hope that it could stop the next mightiest force to come knocking.
I'm not sure if suggesting this is faith incarnate or treason of the highest order 🤔 we'll have to let the fires decide 🔥 🔥 🔥 thanks for watching Joey! Liam
I love the final theory. It would be awesome to see the faces of everyone in the night's watch when the Others get there, say "Sike" and break the wall with ease. Also, amazing way of narrating the theory, really gives you the feeling of listening an incoming doom. Great viedo.
Thanks Fernandoruizperale! Our channel is struggling at the moment, to have viewers like you with comments like this gives us hope! Thanks for watching! Liam
I think the real NIght King is Hot Pie, who has successfully infiltrated the 7 kingdoms, faked his death and is now building a secret undead army sustained on pies. The books end with him saying "It's Pie Time" and smacking Cersei in the face with a raspberry Tart
The Others present an insurmountable threat, a medieval fantasy version of a zombie outbreak…and then it ends with a single night where no one important dies. In the books, I full expect it to be the final conflict; if we ever get Dream, it’s going to be the overwhelming content of that volume. As for the Others getting past the Wall, I’m a fan of the Horn theory, particularly the Wall actually being either part of a *giant* beast or that such slumber within. But I don’t have any idea how exactly this will go down, beyond that the Nightfort has something more to do with all this…presumably. As you said, we have next to nothing go off of. The anticlimax iteration weirdly appeals to me as a result; it would be like a reverse Red Wedding, a nonevent that dramatically changes the whole course of the expected story.
I'm thinking it might be a bit of column B, a little bit of column D. The cocky maesters take Sam's remains of the horn and reassemble it for historical preservation, and one of them decides to blow on it for fun, and everyone laughs at Sam for filling his pants. Because they're all the way in Hightower and nowhere close enough for the sound to reach the wall, we don't see it having any effect before it's sealed in a vault where we will never see it again. Then when the Others finally show up at the wall, we're all hoping to the Old Gods that the enchantments will hold... only for the army of the dead to break through the tunnels and Castle Black like it's just another regular manmade fortification, and we are led to believe there was never anything special about the Wall. Except in typical George R.R. Martin fashion, that scene in Hightower several chapters ago may have been more significant than we were initially led to believe, and humanity's hubris has once again doomed us all.
FINALLY, someone pointing out the fact that whights have already passed beyond the wall and didnt spontaneously explode. It might be a vampire-type situation where they have to be brought in (something something Guest Rights something something Old Ways) I do really like the idea that the wall was just a palcebo, but theres just too much pointing toward real magic being involved. Melissandre's powers getting stronger, the Wierwood branch Bran and Co. find at the Nightfort, and the sheer scale of the wall itself all suggest that something very powerful going on there.
Theres almost nothing I would hate more than the wall being fake, Id rather have the climactic final battle of the Long Night be actually at the wall, that makes more sense to me than them breaching the wall
I always figured that if the living giants working for the wildings could break the steel bars on the tunnel, the ice giants could do the same. The part about the wall not being tested reminds me of when Tywin said, "Dragons haven't won a war in 300 hundred years." & I was stunned that Tyrian didn't point out that there have been no dragons in 300 years.
Boody hell that's actually a missed opportunity for some poetry, cue George Lucas clip Yeah I think the undead giants will have no issue with the gates if there's nothing magical to hinder them! Thanks for watching Slipstick! Liam
I don't think the horn of winter is a bad idea. Imagine Euron climbing the top of the hightower and blowing the horn three times collapsing the wall. It could happen after the Battle of Blood where he'd summon krakens on the Hightowers or Eldritch horrors, while Leyton would pull a legendary fight with magic he was preparing with Mallora the Mad Maid.
Others walk up to the wall, look it up and down, smirk and say “cute” then break the gates in less than 2 seconds, and the whole army of the dead invade in mass.
My personal theory is that the wall has been degrading over time. It would explain the prophecy and stark house words, they are a warning from bran (The useful one), Melisandre could either sense this or see it in the fire, and she could tell both the knights watch and more importantly, the one true king, Stannis Baratheon, the living realize they are on a time limit, and begin to prepare, once the time is up, the wall just crumbles in on itself Also, whats your opinion on doing more Star Wars videos, I think you would have a great time with the Mandalorians
You're take on the Wall being a big scam on being able to stop the Other is wild. I love it. I want that to be it. That would've been chilling if that had happened in the show instead of the dead ice dragon
The wall never working is an interesting theory, but i think it has to do with thr Dragons unable to cross the wall. Unless the Children of the Forest are the ones to keep the dragons out. In which case, once the children die, the force keeping Dany's dragons out of the north is gone and then the theory of Visereon breaking the wall is back on the menu
It might also be the others that keep them from crossing is one of our thoughts, the dragons maybe sense the Others and its instinct to them to avoid the icy bastards. Your theory is cool though Nev! Thanks for watching! Liam
When I first heard of the White Walkers, I was terrified. Not because of what they were rather the patience’s they may displaying. How are the Free Folk alive beyond the wall, for possible thousands of years? Because like vampires, you don’t kill off all your livestock. Jon mentioning my logic gave me a shutter.
The last theory is definitely my favorite, especially since you don't even have to take the dragons refusing to cross the wall as a sign of it being false, for it could simply be that when the wall was built the builders simply didn't know which spells and/or enchantments specifically worked against the others and instead went with whatever they had which wasn't correct. Anyways, great video, guys, and well done.
Thanks Yazanmowed! Thats actually a great theory, just throw whatever magic fecal matter you know into the wall and hope some of it sticks when it comes to the others lol Thanks for watching as always matey! Liam
22:24 why not an alternative dimension where George finished the books and then HBO did a wonderful job adapting them for tv? The wall being a huge anti-climax is a pretty cool idea and now I hope that is what happens.
A personal theory of mine goes like this: I saw once a theory stating that the red star in the first book it’s actually a cosmic creature who’s name I cannot pronounce that appears in another of Martin’s book ( a sci-fi themed story that he wrote), this creature has the characteristic of massively amplify the potency of any and all supernatural phenomena and that’s the reason why Danny was able to hatch the dragons just by burning them alongside a witch and also suddenly became inmune to fire, when other Targaryen kings tried the same in much larger scales and with the help of sorcerers in vain, the comet/cosmic entity strengthened her Valirian blood to the same level of power her ancestors had before the doom. according to this theory if Daenerys tried the same any other day she would have reduced to ashes and the dragons would still be stone. Now my point telling you all of this is that perhaps the white walkers knew about this event many, many years before due to some foresight magic (like their own version of greenseers and dragon dreamers) and prepared a massive magic ritual that, with the help of the magic amplifier would give them both the power to destroy the wall and the absolute victory against the living, it could be to permanently increase the powers of their leader (and he now is learning to control his new strength delaying the invasion), to dive birth to some ultimate magic creature stronger than the dragons who now is growing and developing beyond the walls, to forge some super magic weapons like lightbringer, or to create a natural disaster similar to the one that the children of the forest used to sink the arm of dorne, or anything.
There are chapters where eoron does blood magic over a dragon egg and then throws it into the sea. A few chapters later the council in King's landing are talking about a massive kraken destroying ships . I know dragons take time to grow but the euron story didn't really have a date on it
I like the idea that a bit of everything has it's part, the horn sounding when they plan to attack with good old dead man power with an ice dragon being made from the ashes of the wall so to speak, cool video interested in what the next 2 parts will be?
Back when I watched the show, I was totally convinced that the others would simply go around the wall due to freezing the ocean. I even seem to remember that they mentioned the water freezing enough times that I thought it was a clue...
For me, the main issue that demonstrates that the writers had no idea what they were fucking doing was that battle scene. Even someone with no knowledge of medieval warfare, or warfare in general for that matter. should know that A, you dont stand in an open field when you have a big fuck off castle behind you and B, you absolutely do not have your artillery IN FRONT of your infantry. No, what you should do is keep your men in the highly defendable walls, or at least your fucking ARTILLERY behind them if you cant keep your entire force behind them and, while waiting for the enemy to arrive, assemble as much defenses as you can, including as many layers of ditches as you can get away with. And even the tiniest amount of research would reveal that cavalry is primarily for shock and awe tactics, which does something between fuck and all when fighting zombies.
The Others are definitely headed for the Isle of Faces. The final battle will surely be there and the Trident. The foreshadowing is all there. If the Wall affects all magical beings, surely Melisandre, Bran, Jon and the Direwolves would be affected and wouldn’t be able to cross. Funny to see your thought on the Wall not actually working, on my current read through I started thinking that might well be what’s happening. Love the idea of the Wall being some kind of trap. Imagine Winds ending with the Others marching on the Wall and springing that trap.
I'm fond of the idea that the wall was made by the Others (or with their help) as part of the peace treaty that ended the Long Night, along with stipulations of marrying into the Starks (they'd be far from the only magical enemy the Starks interbred with). But the line of Starks who knew about the agreements is gone, either back in the time of the Nights King (who may have simply been doing what he was supposed to and simply was found out by those who didn't understand, and history forgot the context) or when Ned's older brother and father died without ever telling him the true history of their family and the agreements they made (as only the Lord and his heir would need to know such secrets). This would also play into the themes of misunderstanding history, or revising it over time to remove the parts that offend those in power (like the Starks working with monsters and sacrificing their own people to them). But the idea that the wall is simply a boring old wall is also pretty good. The dragonglass found by Sam suggests that the watch knew how to fight the others in the past, and the Wall oozes a feeling of deep and forgotten history.
I had another theory that the white walkers somehow were working with little finger. They promised him to either convert him to being a white walker or to allow him to live with Sansa.
Thanks Caesar! We were actually inspired by the mass relays from Mass Effect where the races of the galaxy think they are there to help them but really they are one great big trap, one of the best rug pulls in video gaming! Thanks for watching buddy and the kind words! Liam
I mean, not conquering the wall may not be such a bad thing, because going around is such an obvious solution that it may just make the wall obsolete in the first place because if there’s no other way for them to get around going around, it is the next logical choice
I think they are already in a strong position to do so on brute force alone to be honest. They remind me of the reapers from mass effect or the Tyranids from 40k where everytime they win a battle their army just gets bigger while their enemy forces depletes. Thanks for watching! Liam
I've always thought that the sea will freeze to the side of the wall and there just walk around it. That or bran being marked will allow the magic to be circumvented.
I wonder if it will be like the show just full force, break it down bit by bit. I do like the idea of the Nights Watch itself being the threat to them, since if the wall's magic was doing it why even have people up there. I wonder though if they ate just trying to push the wildlings out, that would be funny. The final battle with them if they aren't meant to win should be at winterfell but we should be experiencing a fighting retreat by those fighting them.
I 100 percent agree the living need to lose a few battles to cement the others as a serious threat. It would be hilarious if thats all they want, "Take these savages we don't want them" 😂 Thanks for watching! Liam
The quote your looking for might be from Star Trek, TNG. In season 2, episode 21, Worf and Data are talking about a species that has great military strategic minds, but no one has tested that theory in over 9000 years. Worf's response to that was 'then the reputation means nothing'.
I'm not a massive Trekkie but that does fit quite well Colvamoon! I've heard that story somewhere i know its not my own creation, ill watch the clip and see if it triggers my memory 😂 thanks for watching Colva matey! Liam
Honestly I'm partial to the idea of the nights watch integrity failing being the reason for the white walkers getting through. But the idea of it being a fake is also great. Something about the idea of a white walker just stepping through the gate like nobody's business and that being completely fine really makes me laugh for some reason. I can just imagine the collective look of confusion everyone shares. White walker 1: hey. Steve. White walker 2: yeah? White walker1 : I thought you said this would keep us out. White walker 2: I did. White walker 1: well. No. You lied. Why? White walker 2: hey, that's what everyone says. I guess I just... Lost sight of what really mattered. I just wanted to be popular so I just said what everyone else is saying. 1: aw. Steve. I didn't know you fekt it that way 2: so you forgive me? 1: absolutely fucking not. 8000 years of waiting just because of your self esteem issues. You can stay here.
I think it's either never worked, OR Euron is gonna get the Horn of Winter when he sacks Old Town. I like the theory that Euron was a "Proto-Bran" for Bloodraven, but I could see him more as the Others counter to Bran, Their "Champion" The new Bloodstone Emperor, and eventual Night King. Victorian is gonna meet Dany, legitimately fall into unrequited love, and become another Jorah. Then warn her about his brother, become her master of Ships and destroy Euron's Dragonbinder horn. So then a rejected/Foiled Euron will pivot North to destroy the wall.
It may not be the wall that stops them crossing is our thought. They may be able to sense the magic of the children, the greenseers and the Others and that might be what causes them to turn away. We'll never know till we get the books though! Thanks for watching Ricard! Liam
Can’t get behind the final theory. The wights that attacked Jorah were brought across the Wall by Brothers of the Watch. There’s legends about making deals with the Others at the Wall. There’s likely rules for what can and cannot cross, we just don’t know it yet. My theory is that Euron’s big human sacrifice pile works, but not as he intended. He cracks the moon like Azor Ahai did and a meteor breaks the Wall. Then Euron meets the Others and becomes the new Night’s King. The Others stomp all the way down to the Isle of Faces where the final fate of Westeros is decided. Euron is killed, and Jon and Dany become the new Night’s King and Queen, because they have to fulfill the ancient pact made between the First Men and The Others.
Hi guys! Thanks for the shout out. Honestly I just wanted Liam to prove he wasn't mad after several old jokes on the videos. Thankfully, you are not mad, Liam. That last part is VERY good. Would it. Piss some people off, sure but it makes logical sense.
I'M NOT MAD COURAGEOUS! NO NO NO. Sure my coat let's me hug myself, but when it comes to matters of westeros my mind is clear....... for the most part 😂 thanks for watching buddy and thanks for the suggestion I really enjoyed looking into it! Liam
I’ve not read the books so may be mistaken in what has happened and whether this is still possible, but I think Littlefinger will use the Horn to break the wall to plunge the realm into chaos as he did by having John Arryn killed. He would risk the destruction of Westeros to advance his position, no doubt
I got a question. Could the white walkers bring the winter to dorne? What if the others went to attack the world through the South Pole going up through Dorne? Could Dorne hold them off?
I like to think that the Others are immortal humans who transformed a long time ago and seek to undo the magic that binds them to their painful existence, longing for death. Meanwhile, humanity fears the Others and seeks to protect itself from them. However, I believe that if both sides learn to communicate and understand each other, they could find common ground, paving the way for a resolution to their conflict.
If the night king gets a dragon. My theory was that he would send his land army to attack winterfell but the night king would bypass the north and go straight to kings landing flying his dragon. He would raise kings landing and Convert all the people to be wights. Cersei would be forced to flee and join forces with her enemies to take on the night king.
I'm glad I'm not the only one Jack, I still can't believe the little shit becomes king! he better bloody do something awesome to earn it 😂 thanks for watching! Liam
Only problem I have with ice dragons bringing down the wall is that it’ll be too late to introduce them. At the latest they need to break through the wall by the end of Winds so he has 1 book to properly set up ice dragons
I strongly believe that Euron will use Dragonbinder to bind one of Dany's dragons to burn down part of the wall (like the Night King does in the show). Maybe the legends about a Horn of Winter were true but they were in fact about Dragonbinder (not the horn that Sam has)...
I like it. The theory and anti climatax of the wall not working and people forgetting how to deal with the others probably is the best theory ive heard so far. DnD and the dragon dying just sucked ass
@@TheFandomeClips I think at least with GOT we got some warning, when they reduced down the Martells and took out Young Griff. Mass Effect it was "Bang, the last 100 hours were pointless".
The Others/Reapers parallel is actually something I’ve thought of before. What are wights but husks, if not indoctrinated sleeping agents? After being ignored for years, Commander Shep…Snow is finally able to marshal the forces of the living against this existential threat in a cataclysmic conflict that surely wouldn’t end in disappointment. Right?

I don't think the long night will end with a big war. I think there will be a war, but I like the idea of the long night being enden with a peace treaty between the others and the song of ice and fire aka Jhon. I personally think the "magic" of the wall has to do with something with the "there must always be a Stark in winterfell" saying.
For an anti war story to end with mass Violence and genocide been the answer to the greatest threat the world has seen would definitely undercut that message just a little bit 😂 if that kind of stuff floats your boat you should be in for a treat with next week's video! Thanks for watching Hugin! Liam
@TheFandomeClips think I need to reread my comment if I gave that impression 😅 because that wasn't my intent, English not being first language and all. But yeah, I've been watching the channel a while, it's good stuff
See i knid of like the idea that the Wall isn't magical idea, we know chinese whispers are a thing and that some very strange beliefs have been spawned from them, maybe the Wall is something like that. Maybe the original story was it was built to "HELP" kept the others out and over time it morphed to be it "DOES" keep the others out and people further added to it over time until we have the idea its got magic in it, would be avery George thing to do.
Exactly Josh! George loves to pull the rug when it comes to magic We can't even keep track of our history with certainty with 2000 years, and we have modern technology good luck having the truly genuine history with 8000 years and only medieval record keeping Thanks for watching!Liam
I always predicted that TWOW would end with Euron blowing the horn of winter and through his blood magic sacrifice become the night king and bring down the wall. But I like your idea better; it has a bit more of a horror element to it that I like.
Thanks Adam! I know there is definitely a precident for Euron to do the deed, I've heard theories he may already be in league with them. Thanks for watching as always Adam we appreciate you tuning in! Liam
@@TheFandomeClips If Euron is in league with the Others, I doubt its in the conspiratorial sense; but rather in the same sense that the local McDonalds and Burger King are in league in making a part of your town the fast food street. They're not actively working together but their interests are so aligned and complimentary that they accomplish the same result as though they were.
You are truly insane, you know that? Running gag aside, there is a certain familiar apathy to the last theory. That is why I think it's correct. That said, I do think Arya playing a part in ending the Night King (or whatever leads the Others) is still accurate. Probably stealing a White Walkers face to do it, and landing not the killing blow but one that gives Snow the edge to end that big bad. (Seriously, that was criminal not to have a true swordfight between those two.) Only because the weapon of choice to slay kings is assassination or poison. We have had three different kings be slain in this matter. To expect this one to be slain in a climatic swordfight against Jon Snow would also be to me a betrayal of the storytelling George set up. That the one destined to slay the great evil had not only help, but needed a hidden blade in the back to do it seems more fitting to the narrative.
I'm not mad Domanese, anyone inferring such will be sacrificed to the Lord of light! Oh I definitely think they'll be some trickery IF the Others have to be taken down like they do in the show because peace isn't an option. I'm interested to see what part Arya has to play, she's kind of off doing her own thing in the books still at the moment. Thanks for watching! Liam.
@@TheFandomeClips The wait for this was worth it and I'm looking forward to whatever take you have for when the Others get past the wall. Thank you for the response Liam.
I am sorry but aren’t we forgetting a certain magical horn with “supposed” dragon enslaving powers. 3 dragons in Essos. And a perfectly suited madman intending to use said horn on dragons. And it would be perfectly in character for him to do a little demolition work. Thus plunging the world into chaos and fucking over Bloodraven for good measure. Especially if we think about the theory that he is connected to the three eyed useless. Although I really like your last theory, the way Euron Greyjoy has been set up is just a little too perfect for the Wall breaking, to a point where for me it would be kind of a let down if he didn’t actually end up doing it. (Similar to Arya killing the Night King)
Given that the White Walkers have untold legions of tireless minions, the entirety of the Lands Beyond The Wall to draw materials from, and all the immortal time in the world, what if they just gathered every rock and log they could find to make a truly enormous ramp with ice for mortar and just go over The Wall?
The dissatisfaction I think we feel subconsciously is we do not know the why? Why are the Whitewalkers on the move, 10k years they have been fine, what changed? Also did they commit genocide? Like are all the WW dead everywhere or are there more in the North. I had a mystery box dangling in front of me with no resolution as what were they, what is their need to attack, why did they leave in the first war?
The main one being the Mannis, I still cannot reconcile why they didn't use him as the first obstacle for the Others and let him go down trying (but ultimately failing) to save the realm out of duty I agree Cara, it would have taken more than 8 seasons but man the way they did Dorne dirty will never be forgiven. I think they steal Jon's body and have him say the Night's watch vows at the Black gate to lead them in. Mayhaps some blood sacrifice, or some ceasing of blood sacrifice (assuming the weeping, evil wall is supported by blood magic).
Thats a good theory 👌 someone else in the comments has mentioned that it could be vampire rules where you need a member of the Night's watch to let them through Thanks for watching Plasminusphantom! Liam
@@colvamoon6962 they had more material than they used. They didn't run out of material, they abandoned it. Plots, characters, everything.

Liam
😂😂😂

I actually really like the idea of ice dragons being the wall. That could be how the horn brings down the wall, it just wakes up the dragons that are in it.
@@brycemiller6351 maybe that's why he's procrastinating because it's exactly like Attack on Titan lmao
I don't take issue with there being an ice dragon hidden under the wall, where I think it gets silly is the idea that the wall is one big ice dragon . The wall is 700ft tall and hundreds of miles long. If that was the case the others would be the least of The Livings worries lol
Thanks for watching matey!

@ricardogomes3820 it might be that there is magic involved, but, as stated, the magic is untested against the Others. It might scare off dragons, but not Others.

I think that is a brilliant theory mate! Very fitting with how George approaches magic too!

FINALLY, someone pointing out the fact that whights have already passed beyond the wall and didnt spontaneously explode. It might be a vampire-type situation where they have to be brought in (something something Guest Rights something something Old Ways)
I do really like the idea that the wall was just a palcebo, but theres just too much pointing toward real magic being involved. Melissandre's powers getting stronger, the Wierwood branch Bran and Co. find at the Nightfort, and the sheer scale of the wall itself all suggest that something very powerful going on there.
The comparison to the citadel in mass effect just lowkey blew my mind. Such a good point 😂
Theres almost nothing I would hate more than the wall being fake, Id rather have the climactic final battle of the Long Night be actually at the wall, that makes more sense to me than them breaching the wall
Love this channel it’s always a treat when they post and the videos and quality only gets better and better keep the great work up both of you 👍
I always figured that if the living giants working for the wildings could break the steel bars on the tunnel, the ice giants could do the same. The part about the wall not being tested reminds me of when Tywin said, "Dragons haven't won a war in 300 hundred years." & I was stunned that Tyrian didn't point out that there have been no dragons in 300 years.
Boody hell that's actually a missed opportunity for some poetry, cue George Lucas clip
Yeah I think the undead giants will have no issue with the gates if there's nothing magical to hinder them!
I honestly don't put it past George at this point to be honest buddy 🤣 thanks for watching as always Derekivery! Liam

"Just ignore the ending and you´ll enjoy it"
The king will say “Hey, I’m Wight Walkin here” and then Jon will get a magnifying glass and melt the king
The wall being a fraud is actually brilliant, I love this theory!
My personal theory is that the wall has been degrading over time. It would explain the prophecy and stark house words, they are a warning from bran (The useful one), Melisandre could either sense this or see it in the fire, and she could tell both the knights watch and more importantly, the one true king, Stannis Baratheon, the living realize they are on a time limit, and begin to prepare, once the time is up, the wall just crumbles in on itself
Also, whats your opinion on doing more Star Wars videos, I think you would have a great time with the Mandalorians
Thats actually a great theory, just throw whatever magic fecal matter you know into the wall and hope some of it sticks when it comes to the others lol

Still waiting for my free for all out of all houses and keep up the good work good to see how far you have come
For me, the main issue that demonstrates that the writers had no idea what they were fucking doing was that battle scene.
3:44 that was uncalled for
I wonder if the White Walkers would invade Essos after taking over Westeros.

I liked the way u looked at every angle in this
I allways liked the idea that the wall stops working because thire is no stark in winter feel
I love the idea of it being a lie. Never heard that one before and it holds a fair bit of intelligence in its execution.
Thanks Caesar! We were actually inspired by the mass relays from Mass Effect where the races of the galaxy think they are there to help them but really they are one great big trap, one of the best rug pulls in video gaming!

@14:30 I did my waiting! 13 years of it!
I mean, not conquering the wall may not be such a bad thing, because going around is such an obvious solution that it may just make the wall obsolete in the first place because if there’s no other way for them to get around going around, it is the next logical choice
BUILD THAT WALL!!!
What if The Others are running from something themselves? Perhaps a big bad Ice Dragon :) or something else
How the white walkers can beat all of Westeros.
I think they are already in a strong position to do so on brute force alone to be honest. They remind me of the reapers from mass effect or the Tyranids from 40k where everytime they win a battle their army just gets bigger while their enemy forces depletes.

It would be hilarious if thats all they want, "Take these savages we don't want them" 😂

So then a rejected/Foiled Euron will pivot North to destroy the wall.
there is only one problem how do you answer the dragons not being able to cross the wall if there is no magic.
It may not be the wall that stops them crossing is our thought. They may be able to sense the magic of the children, the greenseers and the Others and that might be what causes them to turn away.
We'll never know till we get the books though! Thanks for watching Ricard! Liam
Great video!
Idk.. That tree door that *TALKS* beneath the Nightfort seems kinda important in a way.

I’ve not read the books so may be mistaken in what has happened and whether this is still possible, but I think Littlefinger will use the Horn to break the wall to plunge the realm into chaos as he did by having John Arryn killed.
He would risk the destruction of Westeros to advance his position, no doubt
There is another method the Walker can go to the other side. Like the movie World War Z, they can just create a giant ramp to the top with the undead
The others are just misunderstood just like the hero joffrey the gentle jk great video as always keep up the great work
If the night king gets a dragon. My theory was that he would send his land army to attack winterfell but the night king would bypass the north and go straight to kings landing flying his dragon. He would raise kings landing and Convert all the people to be wights. Cersei would be forced to flee and join forces with her enemies to take on the night king.
Truly Brann’s chapters bore me to tears 😂

Looking forward to it!
"as long as you turn it off 15 minutes before the ending" - yes.
Honestly I can't decide what is worse
Season 8 of GOT
Starchild
I think I hate them both in equal measure lol
Thanks for watching Estabansidhe! Liam
@@TheFandomeClips I think at least with GOT we got some warning, when they reduced down the Martells and took out Young Griff. Mass Effect it was "Bang, the last 100 hours were pointless".
Well, it is established in the series that dragons are basically extinct so if nothing else using her dragons is actually making sense
Right?
😂
I honestly cannot decide what is worse Warlord mate
Season 8 or those last 15 minutes of 3?
Both broke my heart, with only ME 4 and GRRM possibly being able to fix it 💔
Thanks for watching as always matey! Liam
Maybe the magic of the wall was the friends we made along the way
What if bronn son of you wouldn’t know him was lord commander of the knights watch or a member when Jon was there
Was I the only one hoping this would be a video on how the White Walkers could have won?
See i knid of like the idea that the Wall isn't magical idea, we know chinese whispers are a thing and that some very strange beliefs have been spawned from them, maybe the Wall is something like that.
Maybe the original story was it was built to "HELP" kept the others out and over time it morphed to be it "DOES" keep the others out and people further added to it over time until we have the idea its got magic in it, would be avery George thing to do.
Exactly Josh! George loves to pull the rug when it comes to magic
We can't even keep track of our history with certainty with 2000 years, and we have modern technology good luck having the truly genuine history with 8000 years and only medieval record keeping
Thanks for watching!Liam
Wights will use their bodies to form a 3 foot wide staircase and the Others will go up it
Haha world war Z style? Going to need a lot of wights to pull that off lol
Tha ms for watching Berto! Liam
(Seriously, that was criminal not to have a true swordfight between those two.)
Only because the weapon of choice to slay kings is assassination or poison.
Only 175th? I'm slacking
Like D&D
😂 I think some people really did think this video would be praising them from that intro
Thanks for watching as always Robert buddy! Liam
Tom, I would like to buy your magic rock-- I mean coin.
I’ve never been this early before. Zamn
D&D NEVER ran out of source material. They ignored A LOT of great characters and plotlines from the 4th & 5th books.
The main one being the Mannis, I still cannot reconcile why they didn't use him as the first obstacle for the Others and let him go down trying (but ultimately failing) to save the realm out of duty
I agree Cara, it would have taken more than 8 seasons but man the way they did Dorne dirty will never be forgiven.
Thanks for watching as always! Liam
@@TheFandomeClips - at least Stannis was IN the show. But, Yes, he was under-utilized, for sure!
All the missing Martells and Greyjoys was MIND BLOWING…and don’t even get me started on the (f)Aegon storyline! I would’ve loved to see that!
Anyway, great video, as always!!
I think they steal Jon's body and have him say the Night's watch vows at the Black gate to lead them in. Mayhaps some blood sacrifice, or some ceasing of blood sacrifice (assuming the weeping, evil wall is supported by blood magic).
Thats a good theory 👌 someone else in the comments has mentioned that it could be vampire rules where you need a member of the Night's watch to let them through
Thanks for watching Plasminusphantom! Liam
