I am from the island of Dominica🇩🇲 Daniel Langlois was a gem. He played a major role in employing the people of Soufrière and Scott’s Head. He and his partner were well loved by the people because they were just generally great people. It is so unfortunate and heartbreaking to experience the loss of this man and his partner. May the murderers experience hell on Earth and then may it continue for them in the afterlife.

I am sorry for your loss. And many, many here are deeply saddened. As is the spirit of the people of Nature Island, the death of Daniel Langlois and Dominique Marchand felt shocking - as crime is rare - and profoundly sad. Their good works and philanthropy were greatly valued; and many people loved them. The good people mounted a tremendous and moving send-off ceremony for Daniel Langlois and Dominique Marchand. You can find some extraordinary online videos of the people on shore and the many boats out in water performing a most spectacular and fitting celebration and memorial to say goodbye and to honor the passing of a cherished member of our Dominica family. I am not ashamed to say that it brings me tears every time I see the videos of the spectacular & moving commemoration. It brings me tears because it is a beautiful shining light that comes from the precious hearts of these marvelous Dominican people. These people have given me a new life. The vibration from these people makes you feel you are wanted. It makes you want to live forever. Instead of thinking it’s just “You” vs the “World”. And it makes me think, “Why can’t all the world live together like this?”

The city vacated the alley next to my Dad’s house. So it was split down the middle. The other neighbor told my dad that if he poured the concrete for a driveway, he would pay my Dad for it. When the work was done and paid for, Don wouldn’t pay Daddy. He did however use the driveway for his car. My Dad didn’t have a rotten bone in his body. It could have caused a huge problem, but it didn’t. My Dad just never got upset about things. And he was Italian! I wish he would have learned something from that experience. People took advantage of him. I miss my sweet Dad a lot. P.S. I love your shirt, Dr.Grande, not to mention your TH-cam videos. ❤❤

We had an alley vacated along a rear property line in my neighborhood. I found out about it one day when I heard arguing from three houses away. Came to find out one property owner put up a fence claiming the whole width of the alley to himself. I guess it was more important to grab a few extra feet of real estate rather than being content with half of the alley and living next to someone in peace.

A neighbor who happened to be an attorney pulled me to the side and explained how he’s seen these types of situations go sideways. I calmed down, he eventually left. I’m sure the subject of Dr. Grande’s topic is thinking “how did i get to this point.” Blinding rage is not good for anyone involved in these situations.

I live in the mountains on Nature Island. Every day I drive down the mountains to exercise in a gym. As I drive, I try to take-in every ounce of the nature around me: the exploding flowers of the Flamboyant Trees, the many palm trees, flowing mango tees, prehistoric ferns whose leaves stretch 12 feet, cascading waterfalls, the magical mountain peaks that are draped with a curtain of enchanted cloud cover.
When I drive through the little hamlets the people wave and wish me a good morning; people in passing cars wave; and, the effervescent hitchhikers I pick up bring me great delight.
To me, THAT is real human value!

From my experience, most of the Americans that come are shell shocked and looking to hide in the rain forest away from people. I do not see the same sentiment among the Canadian or European X-pats

To be frank, it's shocking the government made a move at all. Even in America, the very wealthy often have the police look away from their crimes. Perhaps if he had targeted a less famous couple, he would have gotten away with murder.

That man is guilty as hell. My grandfather came from that Island and I believe I still have relatives there. I would love to visit one day. It saddens me that the government behaves in such a despicable way and allows foreigners to buy them.
