    Thanks for the firmware update.After a few try's,I finally got it working.No Podger beeps with this one.Wished it was water resistant,as it would be great outdoors in the weather. It is a great radio.Mine came with 2 batteries.

    Th “sync” menu item, when turned off, eliminates the “B” VFO/memory display. It causes the currently active channel to display both the name and frequency at the same time.

    I like the yellow case version. So I can find it in the yard / woods. And someone (on Amazon) makes a yellow speaker-mic too!

    Another informative video. I went with a Retevis RA 98 for my new HT. CCRs are CCRs, hopefully it will be my last HT for while. I have XYL QRM... 73, KF0NNQ.

    I just saw a video on this radio, yesterday. It seems full featured. I was wondering if Chirp made a programming Program, but it seems Tid-radio does too.

      You can program it with Chirp Next.

    I think my H3 is defective. I can transmit on 2m/70cm simplex, I can receive from repeaters, but I can't trip repeaters. I have 3 other HTs and they all hit repeaters fine with the same settings. I contacted support, and I'm still waiting. I've read similar reports from a couple H3 users on reddit.

    I'm so glad to see someone finally using the Tidradio CPS because no one seems to know about the PTT-ID that only works through the factory CPS. I added an ID to the "PTT ID Starting" and "Ending" in the CPS and it does work, but there is a 2 second delay before sending which also mutes the mic in the process. I can't find a way to adjust the delay. I removed the Self ID but that didn't fix it either. I'm using firmware version 240416. Do you know how to fix the delay issue? Also, I saw that you added numbers to the "Call Code" section. What exactly does that do?

    Thanks for the video. When I install the software I don't get the version including 220 MHZ. How do I change that? When using with Chirp I can operate on that band. I have the radio set to "normal" but the software from TIDradio doesn't do it.

    I watched your video for firmware upgrading of the H8.. Since the H3 has a USB-C port, can the firmware upgrade be performed over IT or is the K-type FTDI cable required for this?
    When I connect my H3 to my PC - I DO get a USB-SERIAL CH340 com-port so I hope it'll work (albeit, haven't been able yet 😒)

    • @HamRadioCrusader
      @HamRadioCrusader  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have not been able to get the firmware upgrade to work with the USB-C cable. I had to use the K Type programming cable.

    I wasn’t aware that there are “programming” vs. “charging-only” USB-C cables. Can we not just get along? There are no marking nor any outward way to tell one from the other. This is another curveball I didn’t need!

    • @HamRadioCrusader

      Some of them will say sync cable or data cable plus charging or whatever, etc.

      This radio can be programmed with ANY usbC cable,.. data cable not required because the chip with the firmware on a data cable is in the radio already thanks to the wonderful team at TidRadio! 🙂

    • @ms_nop
      @ms_nop 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unless they're really old cables, there's no difference other than amperage. The battery pack on the TD-H3 is self contained with charger inside as well as BMS inside so no charging (or powering apparently) through the radio, just like most all pro radios.
      This makes a lot of sense thinking about the future: you can switch to sodium ion, NiMH, etc without the radio even noticing! The other radio companies should be paying attention!
