My mum is 7 years older than my dad. There were criticism and jokes targeted towards them. But they've been together for 22 years now. So yeah, age isn't really a problem.

i feel like relationships with a wider age gap works best when the younger person is wise beyond their years and the older person is more innocent and childish in nature. it balances things out

25 year gap here, together for 8 years, planning our wedding next year. He was 24 when we met, I was 49. I tried to push him away several times because I wanted him to have a "normal" life, but he refused to go. It wasn't until he turned 30 (old enough to make life decisions) and I really believed that he never intended to have children whether we stayed together or not, that I gave in and we settled down to being happy. And we are so very happy. Even after 8 years, he is my best friend, we laugh every day, and we love just hanging out together. I adore him and I know he adores me.

Purely in my opinion...even more important than any sort of age gap is the maturity level of each person in the relationship. If both individuals are of similar or complementary maturity then it will work regardless of age gap. If the maturity difference is too great the relationship will not last....no matter the age....

I'm 38 and my gf is 22. The gap as a number is not ideal... but neither of us care. We both connect on such deep levels and it's the healthiest and happiest relationship either of us have ever been in. At some point, we just have to stop caring so much about what others think. To quote my gf, "it's 2020, people need to get over it, if they actually care about us, then they will only care that we are happy." My girl rocks my world and I'm so thankful for her, every moment of every day.
My wife and I have a 10 year gap too, she's the best that has happened to me. I tried to not fall for her and actually tried to "kill" my feelings. The burden got too heavy, so I decided that if we would have 1 date I would see that we dont match and the feelings would go.

People didn’t think that it was right of us to date because of the age difference so whenever I hear couples talk about age gaps, I have no room to judge because I know what it’s like to be criticized for being with someone much older than you, even though you’re both in love. Love is love and has no boundaries. Everyone deserves to be happy and we all deserve love.

Less than 10 years is not that really big of an age gap. For me, I think one of the major age gap related obstacle i would be concerned of is that one will be aging at the same time the other one's parents will be. Like imagine having to care for your mom and dad then also your spouse. Even with money that would be so stressful emotionally.
Love comes in all forms and it comes with responsibilities. Can't really say that age doesn't matter, but when the time comes and you decided to be partners, age shouldn't matter anymore. Both should be responsible in their relationship because it should be a mutual thing.

Woah I guess I am lucky 🤣 met my bf when I was 23 and a half he just turned 28. Been together for more than 2 years . Planning to get married when i will be around 28-29 and him 32-33 🤣🤣 I don't like big age gaps. First of all I'm American and I love this video! I've seen several age gap relationship videos on TH-cam and I'm starring to see a common trend; the age gap couples are vey happy with each other! I would say they are even more happy than closer age couples and i think i know why: the closer age couples are competing with one another and the greater age difference couples are complementing one another! You all appreciate your differences and learn from each other! Wow that's amazing!

Was hoping to see at least one couple with a larger age gap, but regardless, this was really nice to watch!
