As a young boy, my father told me that you can do anything if you can read a book. We, on this end of your tutorials who find it difficult to stay focused are fortunate that you 'read the book'. I am referring to your method of teaching. Thank you.
SWEEP command has driven me crazy since yesterday bcz it created weird results of solids.. till I got into this life saving tut-video.. Thank you very much TFI, you are the Man...
I love picking up old videos from you that gives me these EUREKA-moments..! :D As you probably could've guessed I'm pretty new to inventor, but this video just solved my "problem" dealing with drawing a profiled protective list with a groove for mounting on the edge of a 2mm steelplate with multiple bends.. Now I just let the 3D-printer make this prototype and I guess I'll take tomorrow off then :D
Using a current version of inventorpro and was wondering, how do I delete a face from in side a sweep? Say I make an arch from one body to another and create a sweep with the intention of water to flow between, how do I get rid of the part of the 2 bodies that still build inside the sweep obstructing the opening and end?
Please, at 5:54 you used a pre-prepared sketch/ path, is it possible to place a canvass behind while doing this pre-prepared sketch (as a guide). Also, this profile, path & Guide rail features, can one find them in fusion 360?
That plane wasn't a plane. It's a surface extrusion. Just make a line, circle, spline etc, and create a surface extrusion. That way you can create a freeform plane for intersections. I just found it out.
When creating the sketch of the sweep manifold i just know found out it doesnt work in assembly..i cant attach the profile plane to the spline.. does anybody know what to do?
Quick question: modeling something like a ballscrew or a trapezoidal lead screw, would you coil a work plane then use a sweep command or simply make a profile perpendicular/parallel to the coil direction and use just the straight up coil command?
Hello, Thank you so much for these fantastic tutorials, i learn valuable things in every single one you make. I have a question/request, could you maybe make a tutorial on how to assemble (and create parts) in a way that you can later chose specific parts to drive (enlarge, change, modify other parts) and witch functions to us in those parts to draw them. For example, i was trying to create a CNC mill in Inventor, but i was constantly searching for the method of approach/techniques that would make 'Designing' and especially 'modify' the cnc the fastest and most efficient. like witch features are adaptive and witch not for example: sculpt (on witch you already made a tutorial), project geometry? , a part created in an assembly and extruded from one objects face to another. i know this would take a tremendous amount of word to cover it al, but a basic overview would help a lot. Cheers
Great stuff. I've been lurking around here trying to get into 3d modelling. Anyway, thanks for these videos! Is there any chance you might do some more in depth videos about freeform modelling though? Mostly interested in how to use freeform modelling in conjunction with parametric modelling, since you'd hardly use just freeform modelling alone. Basically I have a parametric model, and I need to design a cover that would go on top of the thing and join up with all the edges of the parametric model. How would I go about doing that if that makes sense?
Is there a way to round the end of the sweep? say I sweep half circle along a line can i end the sweep in a quarter sphere. I know how the do it afterwards with revolve, want to know if it can be done in one go.
Hi TFI your the best at tutorials. I am just starting out and you videos have helped a lot. Have you got a tutorial on curved doors with extruded insets eg centre panel and decorative I can make the door, edit the rails to go I want them but not the curve of the door. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi I am back again with a small question, I have made a similar part and made the track but in the end of the sweep cut it continuous seems to missing a small piece to cut. I tried to constrain the end of the line to the end of part, and made it longer then the part even perpendicular to the end of the endline but nothing seems to do the trick. of course et can be done, as i can see on your example. I am running Inventor 2016 ,.. By the way just love your videos !
+Bjarne Wibrand I have understood what the problem is. The line that produces the terminal part of the body has to be perpendicular to the plan, the trajectory it owes to finish perpendicular to the plan. it is not necessary that the line goes out of the face Hi
Brilliant as usual. Have you maybe done a tutorial on how to sort out the famous ...is not checked out to you. Edits are not allowed on this file. Forgive the ignorance I'm a 66 year old newbie to inventor. Love it.

Yea nobody is doing any dragons in Inventor sorry! Wrong program, Inventor is for metals and plastic things, if you want dragons n stuff then you probs want to look at Maya or Mudbox!

thanks your adding real clarity to inventor tutorials , and its not a chore to watch , that's a good trick . Robb
The most valuable 'subscribe' I've ever made on TH-cam! Cheers for your help

You make complex things clear in a very easy way 👍 Thank you Dude

Thanks for the tips I have been struggling with with this for a while, now I'm struggling a lot less
At 8:10, how was that curved plane made? Are there any videos that I can be referred to?

Do u have related video for it.
Clarity was Magical,,,,,,,Many Thanks

Got anything on cable and harness? It seems to be the forgoten module of inventor.
bro thanks so much, you actually made soft soft easy to understand

in 2020 some of the sweep options in dialog are missing for me - output option - is there a setting that would control this?
Em....when we finished to compose how to get it out ?

is there a way to sweep a certain distance using projected geometry, as in sweeping 500mm on a 1000mm line?
7:38, How you can create third surface?
When I do a sweep along a spline and my object is a circle, the circle does not end at being perpendicular to the spline at the end.. help please
Can i make a cut, on cylinder with another 3d object?
Is variable section sweep feature possible in Autodesk inventor 2019.
Thank you so much this helped a lot!!!! You saved my life
can I ask, how you doing so smooth rotation of model while cursor is doing another things ?
he is using a space mouse of sorts. check out 3Dconnexion for their products
@@dakotacampbell6753 thank you a lot, didn't know about this feature.
Been watching a few of your videos and they've been massively helpful, thank you! What kind of 3D mouse are you using?
dedication to what you want to acNice tutorialeve in life! Stay safe and be wise! Much love!
white environment background?? doesn't that get at your eyes and start to strain them? I feel like things would get confusing fast haha

Nice job, pretty informative thanks
it worked! thank you so much!!
This is great, thank you!

You should specify it. Hi
hows it going
i like your videos btw you have learned me alot about ilogic
nice work,thanks sir
How he is navigating the model
More than likely a SpaceMouse 3dconnexion.com/uk/spacemouse/
Great job man!!!
extrude doesnt have to be straight forward you can use taper to extrude to a cone or point or the other way
Thank you!
Very helpful. Thanks
yo bro, really thankya. Big respect
nice explanation
anybody know song name?
Thank you for a some very helppful trick
Cause he knows the struggles that i'm going threw right now
Right here with ya, bro
The best but I need more ti to make 100% best soft hehehehe thanks for the video bro.
Well lockdown started with Blender but since my laptop can't handle it, I've relocated
Amazing
Thank you.
Are you live?
yes
Good stuff!
Fantastic!
Please explain to me how to make a dragon in inventor pls. BIG FAN SINCE DAY ONE.....ANYWAYS
