Hey Rob, great video as usual! I feel like you're the only university youtuber that I can actually rely on before making my decision. I had a video suggestion that I really love to see on your channel. Maybe you can make a video ranking the Australian universities( group of 8 + the other major ones like curtin deakin ecu etc.) on education and exposure etc. this would give international students like me with a proper idea on what to expect from where. Thanks!
Thanks mate. That confidence means a lot to me - I’m genuinely trying hard to be objective. Can you be more specific about what you mean by “education and exposure”? Happy to have a think about this idea.
@@ChoosingYourUni i mean something like the quality of education they provide, the advantages you have in the job market etc. ofcourse this is not exhaustive there will be quite a few aspects left to be mentioned. Hope to see your video soon so that I can make an informed decision!
I guess that depends on every person’s individual circumstances, doesn’t it? It’s certainly true that uni fees in general are high… but the research still shows that across a lifetime there is a positive RoI for students who go to uni vs those who don’t.
Hey rob! I have my conditional offer letters from both UWA and University of Adelaide for master of data science.. as both the university are in the regional cities and are among the group of 8 universities.. I am confused to choose a university.. can you tell me which would be a better university for my course
Two great unis. I am a little biased because I really love Perth. I think it has a. Little more to offer as a city than Adelaide - but I love the outdoors so it’s a perfect city for me! Both unis have great courses so I’d also look at lifestyle factors, cost of living, job prospects etc
Two excellent unis and quite comparable in terms of both the course and campuses. Sydney and Perth are very different cities, so I’d factor that into my decision making.
As an international student, my brother is working in WA and encouraging me to apply to UWA so he can accommodate me while studying. I'm planning to apply for Diploma in business or project management related courses but not sure about the fees?
Hey that’s great content loved it thank you so much 😇. I have got an offer for business analytics, would you recommend this uni compared to South Australia. Also is part time pay is enough to live in the city? As i heard and read its pretty expensive. I hope you answer my queries. 😇
hi Rob! I'm going through all our videos and must say they are very informative! as an international student in terms of future job assisting and study point of view which would u suggest UWA OR Deakin for public health masters? would love to be assisted! love from India :)
Hi! Sorry for the long delay in responding, I missed your comment. Deakin and UWA are quite different institutions, though both offer strong health programs. My own personal preference would be UWA for overall experience, but I really love Perth as a student city, the UWA campus is incredible and I think the public health landscape in Western Australia, with a large number of remote indigenous communities, is fascinating. That's not to sell Deakin short - great uni, great program, great extra curricular offering.
I’m looking for studying undergraduate in Psychology in Australia (I’m an international student). I’m thinking to apply for Griffith and Uni of Western Australia. Which one would you suggest? I choose these two because their fees are still affordable for me.😭😭🥺🥺🥺
Hmmm, two good unis and my two favourite cities in Australia for students. UWA has a bit more of the wow factor and is group of 8. Griffith has some strengths too. If it were me I’d probably choose UWA, but both are good tbh
Hey Rob, great video! I received offers from UWA and Deakin for masters of biotechnology. UWA is so beautiful and its a very prestigious uni but my concern is that Perth is so isolated from the rest of Australia. And UWA is very expensive too! Deakin in a good uni too and its in Melbourne which is a big plus for me. What would you recommend? Is Perth a good city for biotechnology? And is the UWA worth the high price? Which uni would you recommend?
If price is a significant driver for you, choosing Melbourne is not a bad idea. There are plenty of biotech companies there and Deakin is excellent. I love the lifestyle in Perth, and UWA is an excellent uni, but you've got to weigh up all the factors. I certainly wouldn't regret having a masters from Deakin in that field of study!
Hey! I am in the same boat as you. Got offer letter from UWA and Deakin for Masters in Biotechnology. Waiting for offer letter from University of Melbourne. I too am sceptical to what to go for.
Depends what type of work you’re looking for afterwards but my gut reaction was UWA would be my personal choice there. Great uni and fantastic student city.
Hey Rob, my daughter considering study architecture at Perth. could you please review about studying bachelor of architecture in UWA vs Curtin University? which uni would you recommend?
I usually don't get down to that level of detail because there's just so much nuance. Both UWA and Curtin are great unis with excellent academic programs and strong extracurricular opportunities. Personally I would be happy at either institution.
Hi Rob, I’m an international student planning to study food science, which do you think is better specifically in living costs and environment, UWA or Curtin University?
Living costs will be very similar between unis (course fees might vary, however). I really love both campuses, maybe I prefer the UWA campus just a little more, but both have active and vibrant student communities.
Hey Rob...how you goin' mate? I had already a bachelors degree in engineering back in my home country. But since it is not really recognize in Australia, is it a dumb decision to enroll and study Bachelors of engineering again in Australia. I am looking at UWA. Cheers mate
Nothing is dumb if it's serving some purpose for you. So the answer is "it depends". It depends if doing that degree is going to tick another box or goal for you.
I got offer letter from western australia in agriculture science and technology and the thing is part time Availability is there in Perth region for international students?
I'm an international undergraduate wish to study environmental management/environmental studies And I don't think I can afford the cost of living in Sydney or Melbourne, do you recommend any school? Is UWA a great choice?
hi....will be really helpful if u reply...I got offers from Monash (Masters in Business Information Systems) and UWA(Business Info & Logistics Management)...which should I choose...does Perth have good job opportunities?
Hard to say precisely without knowing more about your goals. Perth is one of my favourite cities for students. It's smaller than Melbourne so might have a lower volume of jobs available, but also a lower level of competition for those jobs. Search on Seek.com.au to get an idea. Both unis are great.

Not sure about scholarships tbh. UWA would be my choice overall but it depends what you’re looking for overall.
I want to study biomedical engineering and I got an offer , I’m not sure about living costs tbh
Better in WA than on the east coast. Good choice of degree 👍
