Let's pump the brakes on 2022. Yes all of these guys I believe will be studs at the next level but we need a sample size, only Wander has played (briefly) in the Majors. With that said, I think 2018 will go down as the greatest. Soto, Acuna, and Shohei are already Top 10 players in all of baseball.
It very well may, but its not gonna be easy. Some of the rookie classes in the 50s are crazy great. 51: Mantle, Mays, Ford, Monte Irvin, Nellie Fox. 54: Aaron, Banks, Kaline. 55: Koufax, Killibrew, Clemente.

Love your videos. Couple questions for you what service do you use to sell modern slabs? And then also do you feel that Trevor story is done like most of the industry and hobby. He looks horrible and I’d rather get something for his slabs before they’re completely worthless. Any help you can lend is appreciated thanks.
Don’t forget that all these guys technically have RC cards in the 2021 Bowman’s Best set. I have heard you say in earlier videos that Beckett has classified these as RC cards which is not the case. They are RC cards by the definitions laid out when the RC logo was created in 2006.
They don’t all have rookie cards in Best. Wander was the only one that actually played on a major league roster in 21, and nobody who pays attention are treating those cards as rookies.

I know Scottie is big on Bowmans Best, but I'm curious about Topps Chrome.... Does Topps hold Witt, Torkelson, or Julio from Chrome when they all made OD rosters? I feel they might put some of tier 2 guys like Riley Green in Update to still have a good Update product, but those 3 plus Wander should all be in Chrome. Right?
In the real world pitchers are an integral part of the game. Pitchers are very UNDERRATED & UNDERVALUED in today's sportscard market. According to the (majority of) collectors/investors today, teams could save several millions every year by simply using a coach, a pitching machine, a screen & a designated fielder.
Way too early to say for sure, but I highly doubt it. Maybe in recent memory, but not all time. In my lifetime you have 87 which had 6 players who ended their career with 46.6+ WAR, and then the next level down that year included Paul O'Neill, Jay Bell, BJ Surhoff and Ken Caminitiwho had very solid careers. Then there's 89 which had 9 players who had 40+ WAR for their careers, 4 of those guys had over 60 and Griffey ended with over 83. Going further back, some rookie classes in the 50s and 60s are insane. Then 75 with Brett, Yount, Carter, Rice and Hernandez. 68 with Ryan, Koosman, Marshall and Bench. Billy Martin,Gil McDougald, Minnie Minosa, Eddie Matthews, Hoyt Wilhelm... And that's without considering Mantle or Mays which, lets face it, basically everyone thinks of 52 as their real rookie card. This class needs to end with around 10 hall of famers in it to really be thought of as the greatest class ever.

Totally agree, so many great players being added to the major league rosters because of the new CBA. These rookies being added to the under 25 superstars Soto, Acuna, Vlad Jr, Tatis, Bichette, Luis Robert, Franco, etc shows an astounding amount of young superstars in the game today. Not only that, but I love how the young players are starting to be publicized more by the teams. MLB may be starting to realize that the players make the game, not the teams
Topps Chrome hobby box and jumbo box pricing is going to be epic too. Buying into breaks is probably going to be the most affordable route. I'm curious if high print runs - especially in retail - will do anything to knock down hype. Thanks for the video, Scottie!

I guess the one negative some one may bring up is that some of the big chase cards are not from big name teams (Yankees, Dodgers, Mets, Red Sox). Not to say the set still can still be an all-time great but you have a unique variety of small market and lesser followed teams with great prospects which I think can be good for the hobby. I can't imagine what the cost of a hobby box would be if all these guys were on major media markets so I think this set will be a good value for collectors and investors.

Just because they make the opening day roster, it doesn’t mean they’re gonna be in series 2. Look at the last four years of the releases… Printing takes time and realistically almost all these guys will be an update or series 1 next year. They could do a SSP, like they did with Kelenic this year in chrome or Acuña/Vladdy a few years back, but realistically the nature of the printers right now, and all of these sets being behind, unless they push series 2 to August, highly unlikely.
Lodolo I think is the one who's gonna be the horse of that Reds rotation. Probably only throws about 100 innings this year but will have a huge K rate. I remember he had elite stuff out of HS and got drafted back end 1st rd, I got lucky he declined and I got to see him throw at TCU. Saw one outing and was convinced this kid was gonna be an ace if everything went right.
Good chance only a few of these guys are in 2022 products none will be in series 2 maybe half will be in update and chrome update I hope nobody preordered.
