2023 C8 Hypersonic Gray - Vossen Wheels, Carbon Fibre, Black Roof!

- After receiving the C8 a week ago, I made a few basic mods. Vossen HF-5 Wheels, 5VM Carbon Fibre Aero, Xpel Paint Protection, Black Roof Wrap. More Carbon Fiber coming soon!

This looks great and not too overstated. I am old school and usually don't like the black wheels as you loose detail in low light but these look great. Great vision and congratulations on a great looking car.

The black wrap is excellently done! Makes the side profile of the car look more elegant and less bulky in that mid section. I think the red calipers are a nice accent and totally goes with the overall exterior/interior color scheme. Nicely done!
I agree the black wrap breaks up all the grey & adds another colour element which goes well with the overall look of the car, i prefer some colour on the calipers, the red goes with the interior red & engine cover. take care!

Perfect placement of the black at the belt line! Great symmetry with the body lines. Never liked how Chevy elevated and abbreviated it on the C8 htc nacelles. Looks unnatural. Spoiler and splitter help give the C8 a more aggressive look. Vossen wheels are the cherry on the sundae. 👍

I just ordered my C 8 . It will be a while before it arrives as you well know. As with my C7 color is a big struggle. We like the Hypersonic Gray (One of our top 3 colors). Just wanted to say your C 8 is fire. Love the Vossen Wheels. The car looks totally different with all the mods. If you do not mind sharing where did you get you Vossen's at.

I am about to be buying a 2023 C8 corvette in a week. It is a toss up between the yellow or the 70th anniversary edition package carbon flash metallic. They both are convertibles and both are 3LT. I am buying it for the wife as a valentines gift.

I just bought a 2023 Hypersonic Grey ZR1 HTC. I'd like to add the high wing, front splitter and side skirts. How do you think the exposed carbon fiber goes with the other carbon flash parts on the car. I'm concern that they may clash a bit and I might be better to just get the additional aero parts in carbon flash to keep everything consistent. Please let me know your thoughts.
congrats on getting a C8! in my opinion the carbon fiber & the black carbon flash blend together very well.
You needed to get that beautiful car into the sun so we could really see the color you can’t see it in That tent
check out some of my other videos, there are other videos where the colour is more clear to view, video quality never can justify the real colour. i do notice that hypersonic gray has a slight green undertone to it, as the sun hits the car the metallic flakes become very noticeable.
Beautiful car. How much did you pay for the roof vinyl wrap? I want to do the same to mine.
in my area the wrap was approx. $700 can. it adds a great look at a reasonable price, easy to remove, protects the paint.
What size wheels did you get ?! Our c8 just got here in the weekends picking it up tmr! My high spoiler didn’t come in :(

a premium grade fill up is approx. $115 or so depending the gas price of the day!

I have the 5vm carbon fibre package which includes, front splitter, side skirts & high wing in carbon. Purchased from C7 carbon, fitment works well.
i may have missed it, but are those wheels in carbon flash or are they gloss black? looking to put some on my c8
they are Vossen wheels finished in gloss black, look great.
This looks good and I'm assuming the wrap for the top is cheaper than the $2,495 carbon-fiber roof panel option.
yes it is for sure, the wrap was $700, i think it works well with the C8 design.

@@IconicProps the wrap on the front pillars, roof & the rear of the car was $700, i got the xpel pp on the front portion of the car, called the track pack, it was approx. $2200.

I see you bought the car from Preston's, how long did it take to get the car from the date of order?
it took 10 days short of 2 years from time of deposit, date of order was May 12/22, C8 built on June 26/22. the car takes a while to be transported to the west coast.

personally I would have returned the splitter, believe me it would have been worth it in the end.
they offered me a reduced price to purchase another one (only 20% off) i have connected with a local shop & they will repair it in the fall. this shop does lots of carbon fibre repair work and they said they can take care of it for me.😅

I suppose this proves there is no such thing as "Base"...This machine is as beatiful and exotic as any of its "kindred"...

Hi, unfortunately the original center cap doesn't fit on the Vossen HF-5 wheels.
Congrats! I would have chosen a different side skirt, that one doesn’t go with the shape of the car.

@@westcoastc844 i just saw the same kit on a red one. I like it a lil better but I feel like it’s missing something that ties it to the back. Maybe some carbon accent with same shape behind the rear tire?
Where did you get the side skirt? And the front skirt?
i bought them at C7 carbon, reasonable price point & good service.

tires are 255/30/20 in the front & 325/25/21 in the rear, mich pilot sport 4s

Only thing I would change are those gawd awful red calipers. They do not go with the car! If you could get them painted Hyper Gray that would set it off!!! Either way it looks good!
That’s a $595 upgrade. Why would he pay to upgrade then repaint it gray?
@@BSTatonka Don't get all butt hurt I am giving my opinion. It would match the exterior color scheme much better.
personally i like how the red calipers are highly visible, my idea was to connect/coordinate the 2-tone black/red seats, red engine cover with the calipers. i think gray calipers would look nice, obviously this colour option is not available & would have to be an aftermarket add on.
