Definitely the best vibe I've seen on this series. That is an artist's dream studio. Style points are through the roof. Nice job gentlemen. Sometimes we get caught up in trying to keep the space non descriptive and clean and we lose the character and feel. Good luck

My favorite kind of studio - interesting sound treatment and vibey atmosphere. Nice tip on the Sennheiser E609 on cabs - was looking for something a little more exciting to put in front of my VOX and I think that's it.
We own a pair of those Octava Mk-012 that Michael Joly modded. (pronounced Joe-lee...I would know cause our last name is actually Jolly LOL). They were modded to replicate an old Neumann KM-84 and they are pretty darn close! We Love them! Thanks for the great videos, Andrew! We would love for you to check our Nashville studio sometime when it is finished!

You should ask them about power. Getting "clean" power in a home studio is something most home recordists struggle with and it would be interesting to see what solutions you find.
If I ever wanted to find myself in a studio setting that would be a perfect expression of the "cabin in the woods" vibe, and I do,- believe me, I do,- I´d know just who to call now, wouldn´t I? Love the main room diffusers,- they look to be made from actual cut up stems and branches,- not just butchered "2x"4s,- totally goes with the cabin/barn/pirate ship all wood theme. Whole place has an unbelievable "natural organic" air about it,- makes you expect to step out into the Wyoming/Colorado Wilderness to fend off a couple of grizzlys, scare of the racoons and cut up some more firewood should you open the door and step outside. Maybe it´s not the ideal place for the kind of metal I normally delve into,- but anything acoustic - blues - singer/songwriter- medieval/renaissance Euro-Folk,--whatever- bring in a couple of twelve strings, some slides, a Dreadnaught and a Jumbo, a whole lot of whiskey and bourbon and I´d be a happy man spending a few weeks in that place. Might not be the most high end studio you've done, but I'd rather record here than in some boring clinical space. Such a cool vibes these guys have created.
This is a great studio. The camera operator has to calm down and drink less coffee. I felt sea sick on this tour and not because it had a pirate ship theme it was because the damn camera was moving fast and jerky. Slow it down and let us take in all there is to see. Don't make us vomit because of your camera jerks.

Yeah! I actually did an A/B comparison of them and some vintage 84's on acoustic once and they put up a good fight!
