Yeah, I love when you ask their likes and dislikes, and all they say is stuff that has _nothing whatsoever to do with decorating_ You show them pictures from Simterest and ask favorite colors, etc. and they come back with "I hate fitness" or "I love Baroque music." What am I supposed to DO with that? XD
You know who was one of my very best interior-decor clients, so far? Santa. (Father Winter aka Clement Frost.) I spoke to him briefly and got "I like green and mid-century" out of it immediately. Bam. That, I can work with! And afterwards, the game heaped THE most praise upon me I've ever seen from this job. (My fave part was when it praised the "brilliance of the innovative new layout"--when actually I left everything exactly WHERE it was, just replaced it with new versions of itself. :P)

I don’t know if you’ve tried this with Jungle Adventure, but in my experience you can get rich quite quick from it. I started with a tent and a fire and now my sim lives in a massive mansion 😂

starting with dates, you go on a lot of them, make it gold, sell the rewards and than you can plan birthday parties, weddings and stuff, and sell the rewards after until you get rich

Carl's Sims guide video showed how broken the Interior Decorator job was. He actually made a room red (because they liked red) with three red bathtubs, four red violins (cause they liked violins) and actually put four piles of Large Pet Poo on their floor. THEY ACTUALLY LOVED IT and tipped him!!

i did a bathroom for the calientes. they told me they didnt want a snowboard or a violin in their bathroom, ok no probs there. they liked the color blue and gaming. i made an all blue bathroom with a tv and gaming console across from the john. yknow so they can mix business and...pleasure? they loved it and i got a promotion.

I am begging you, EA, don't patch this. It's a feature not a bug!
When you start the job, you can also use the actual "Get to know" social interaction, ask them what their favorite color is and other likes and dislikes will come up in conversation, but they don't show up on the work panel, only the Home Decorator flagged interactions show up, but that's how you would find out more about what they like and get a better reaction. But their likes and dislikes that they tell you (from friendly interactions, not the Home Decorator interactions) will be saved in the notification wall and you can refer back to it while building.

is anybody else having extreme trouble with the career? i’ve literally done like 10 gigs and only passed one and even then, they were still disappointed with what i did. the likes and dislikes they give me are just the hobbies and that’s incredibly unhelpful when renovating. i’m so confused, is it me or the mass amounts of bugs this pack has? lmao
you're not the only one a lot of people are experiencing bugs including youtubers like Plumbella
Don't ask them about the hobbies. It also helps to ask them with usual friendly interactions. That info doesn't go to the task menu, but is still useful.
SAME! I did 3 gigs and wasn't paid for a single one and I got to the point where I opened a note on my phone to jot down their likes and dislikes. The last build I did was in Sulani and the only info I got was that they liked cooking and hated orange and red. I had to fish all the other info out of them and started building when I found out they liked Queen Anne decor. I was under budget and the whole room except for one fan was Queen Anne decor, and nothing was red or orange. Only one of the 3 adults in the household had a positive reaction, and I was paid nothing and sent home with a reputation decrease. Once I was told they hated comedy, so no desks or computers, but loved programming, so to include a desk and a computer- like what am I supposed to do with that? It's so bad that I'm getting hate mail from the Landgrab's and being cyberbullied by Raj Rasoya

Im assuming he made a deal with the moving company, so when they bring the new furniture to replace the old one, then take the old one to his place. A deal that would probably backfire and land him in jail inmediately in real life. Lucklily, everyone in Simworld is very gullible.

Yes its just great to watch someone suck up to a multi billion dollar company who cares more about profit than making sure the game actually runs smoothly. Can't possibly have people complaining when it doesn't actually do what it claims you can do. Can't possibly have people disappointed that the higher ups just won't let their dev team have longer to fix the bugs. Oh no. Much better to turn a blind eye and pretend its ok just as it is even when it could very easily have been better if the EA higher ups just allowed it to be better.

I really hope the fix it so you can’t just take all of their furniture. It would be cool to be able to use your inventory to use hand crafted goods in their houses, but it’s kinda ridiculous to just be able to snatch the whole room.

Very fun video. I used to be a professional carpenter, and I've always had this theory that the easiest way to rob a place would be to pose as a home improvement contractor. Case a house and figure out when they won't be home. Pull up in your home improvement box truck. Cut a hole in the side of the house and install a sliding glass door. While you're inside rob them blind, then leave.
