    This is getting me to finally replay UDOB. Love, love, love this series.
    Also: I think the name of this map is a reference to the of Montreal song "A Sentence Of Sorts In Kongsvinger" :OP

    It's too bad this interview series did not continue forever because it has become so rare to get this type of experience about "full stack map design".
    When current year level designers talk about their work it's often very theoretical.
    Love this.

      Agreed! Fun gameplay, good map length playtime, visually super interesting. I just finished it last week and it's one of my favorite quake things I've ever played. Thanks Lunaran.

    Damn, somehow i missed this map was based on campgrounds, but those pillars and the main atrium are a dead giveaway in retrospect! Great video

    I downloaded this pack because of the screenshot of q3dm6 with quake base texture.
    I though it was so cool to do that.
    Very nice map.

    this is SOOOOO informative and useful for a mapper! Like, see-through elevators, not to wait for each and every one of them to go up to peek underneath, the mixing of enemies, the feature creep thing (I know the name now!) - so many takeaways! Thanks for the series!
    One question I'd ask both (experienced) players and (experienced) mappers - are you the same in love with the in-fighting feature of the first DOOM games and Quake as I am, or is it rather an annoying feature that should be avoided? Or, just like most things in life, should be used in moderation?

      Infighting is cool since it allows you to setup unique encounters that encourage the player to use it or face the consequences. Even the ID guys were trying this back in Doom 1, with Fortress of Mystery (E2M9) basically being the first slaughter/infight map.

      LunSP2, basically Lunaran's 2nd big singleplayer solo project. He's been generous enough to share a preview of it with me and I can say it will definitely be game changing!
