As a Keralite, I have a totally different opinion on that guide. She doesn't know how to eat a sadya. Totally misleading. There is a specific order to follow. Never ever mix Pappas with butter milk. What a foolish guide.

Sorry, she was wrong. There is a specific order for eating Kerala Sadhya. All curries should not be mixed together. If you do so, you won't get the real taste. Each curry has its own purpose. Some are for digestion and some for taste balancing. For example Ginger Tamarind(Inchipuli) and pickle(Achaar) are for taste balancing. They should not be eaten like other curries as they are very spicy. Touch them lightly on the tongue with a finger whenever you want. There is a definite rule for having a Sadhya. There is even a rule for placing banana leaves on the table. The tip of the leaf should be placed to your lefthand side. Those who want to know the complete rules can contact me. 🧡Namaskaram🙏🏻
I am 84 years old. And I have interacted over the decades with a large number of cooks from different parts of India (only vegetarian) the majority being Tambram and malayali Nambudiri cooks.
