"If we're all in the same metabolism, then we are all complicit with the metabolism being sick. We're all sick. Therefore, we need to start from a grown up position, not an infantilized position. Because the house actually itself infantilizes us to be able to want to stay in the playground. To feel good, to look good, to do good, and to move forward. What about instead of moving forward, we dig deeper and take responsibility...." Wow. There is so much here, to sit with and feel. Deepest thanks.

Terrifying that she has dealt with existing issues around collapse. People in the west have only ever known stability in human built systems. The chaos in Europe and North America could be worse than for people in the south.

After losing power multiple times, including phone connection and the internet, it definitely had an impact on my viewpoint of what we are capable of handling. I felt excited at first but quickly changed to feelings of anxiety and panic. Sadly, we are conditioned to have so many advanced technology support to survive how we do. Sewage smells started coming out and people were so quick to turn on generators to support having lights, house climate control and food storage. How necessary were all these generators? not that much this time, but the implications of noise pollution, air pollution, and anxiety provoked definitely made an impact. We need more support on how to keep cool in all of this. Thanks for the resource (from California Sierra Foothills where PG&E keeps shutting power off due to drastic winds)

Yes. This is very compelling. I don't know what to do, to do what's needed. Other than prepare personally, so far. I see the system we've had is completely bankrupt and more of the same, in the service to the NGD, will only accelerate the destruction of our planet, cause more suffering and extinction. I read the science constantly and carefully. How to be a part of something like this? I don't know anywhere here in the US that people are talking at this depth. Anywhere that I could become involved personally. It's the only thing I've run across that gave me a glimpse of a direction that I think should be supported, that I could support directly. Thank you Vanessa Andreotti and all who are working in this vein.

@@aum82 I've been so hungry for people to talk to, face to face, about this, exactly this. I haven't been able to find that in Southern Oregon so far. I am in a couple of very good FB groups and while many there understand, to a much larger degree than the general population, where we are truly, it's quite difficult to find anyone who wants to engage in this discussion. And that's the terrain I live in.

Indeed it is an alienating and lonely place of awareness to be at at times. Of course you can share it! Elizabeth West has some more great work in the Dissident Voice archives :)

Stunning . Could I add another reality check...the second law of Thermodynamics. I Sent this to a colleague today who was talking about "massive rollout" of renewables....
Unless you are proposing to massively decrease the time we have left on this planet there will be NO "massive upscaling of wind."...or anything else.
I have to ask (again) please, please please try to come to grips with the 2nd Law of thermodynamics and the reality of living in this universe.
Now we DO all need our delusions (I have many) but at least push this nonsense about "massive upscaling" back over the Horizon where we have managed to survive as a species by retreating with humility to enable the rest of nature/the universe to attempt to repair the nonsense and chaos we have created for at least 2 centuries by....MASSIVE UPSCALING (note font upscaling and massive use of capitals).
Remember the pink Panther th-cam.com/video/HglhtiK3K5c/w-d-xo.html …"We cannot build a machine to clean up the mess we made making the machine".2nd Law QED.
"Are there basic physical constraints on future anthropogenic emissions of carbon dioxide?" Tim Garrett University of Utah 2011, 2013 etc. Tim introduces a simple economic growth model designed to be consistent with general thermodynamic laws. The model suggests that the well-known IPCC SRES scenarios substantially underestimate how much CO2 levels will rise for a given level of future economic prosperity. For one, global CO2 emission rates cannot be decoupled from wealth through efficiency gains.

All this has come about because we allowed all our systems to be run in a purely materialistic manner with no room for spirituality . Nikola Tesla and his inventions could have saved us from this climate catastrophe ,but he was sidelined from history and his work stolen by a materialistic system that did not like his spiritual free energy approach . So thanks for that JP Morgan and friends. So we as a race of beings are about to reap what we have sown .
