Just fantastic. I haven't listened to anything like this since music school made me, but now I'm following these virtuoso musicians around TH-cam. No amount of weird jazz and avant-garde music can keep me from seeing how incredible this is.

Magnifique résonnance, entre une voix majestueuse et un lieux habité par le silence qui soudain, se révèle au divin. C'est ici que viennent interrompre, comme le font des vagues poussées sur les rocher pointus et aiguisés par le sel des vents hurlants, ces sons si caressants et si chantant, comme il y a très longtemps, bien avant que ne s'écrivent du doigt les notes, les mots, sortis d'un verbe et qui tous, devinrent paroles.
Alice, hai una bellissima voce! brava! as a singer myself is such a pleasure to hear your freshness! you are not adding 'stuff' to your part, or trying to create an artificial 'effect' on the vocal melody. your voice is fresh and honest, a rare quality in early music (or any music, really) now a days. hope you DON'T change this wonderful honest approach as it sadly happens with too many singers once they become more well known. Brava!!

She's from Reggio Emilia. Alice's articulation is clearer than Lea Desandre's version on here. I like Lea but I think she's overpowering for this piece and slurs some of the runs.

@@glennredwine289 hi glenn,this is not medieval music but pre baroque music,that was discovered by italians Compositors how Monteverdi,Vivaldi,Pergolesi,Scarlatti,from neapolitan school. i am not expert but is not medieval,so don't warry is always a beautiful music.

In 1992, I bought an album named 1492: Music from the era of Columbus. It was my first introduction to Renaissance music and I have been an aficionado since that then. Lovely!
Of the many versions of Se L'aura Spira this is my favourite. I really like Lea Desandre but Alice has just the right voice for my liking. The instrumentalists are just right too.
