      I thought the dress was yellowed from age or smoke but it may not be as bad as I first thought. I thought it was supposed to be red and white but found a minty one online and that was red and yellowed. Thanks for watching!

    I love your videos!
    I so want one of those Dr Littlechap dolls but they are impossible to find here in Europe as they were USA only and the shipping is always so expensive and then there's taxes on top of anything over 20 euros, so I always end up backing out of purchasing...
    Lucky you finding them locally and they look so minty! I'm happy for you!
    Your videos are always so lovely and you have such a calming and clear voice!
    Greeting from the Netherlands! :)

    Thanks for the post! I had an Auburn haired Toni I played with as a child. I believe she was originally my aunt's. I wish I had kept her. I love looking at all the different Toni's. Your other items were great, especially the book from the U.K. I would have spent hours with that book as a kid. I hope you are have a great summer! 🌷🌷🌷

    Oh how I love the colorful wooden dollhouse furniture ! And board games, loved them as a kid. They sure helped pass the winters by as kids in Minnesota. Thanks for posting 🙏🏻☺️

      Long winters here in New England too! What was your favorite board game when you were a kid?

    • @kristierundell8917
      @kristierundell8917 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My favorite board game was called “The Chase” . A rabbit and hound chase through the Everglades. If I could ever find it, I would be in heaven. Such a good memory of playing with my family growing up.

    You always have such great luck doll-hunting! I rarely find dolls at flea markets and yard sales, except for the occasional modern doll. Once in a blue moon a vintage doll will turn up in a charity shop, but again, that's unusual for me. I sure am missing doll shows! Hope they're back next year.

    • @vintagedollcollector4828
      @vintagedollcollector4828  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know, I am missing the doll shows too. We are lucky to have a good flea market nearby which is mostly antique and vintage stuff. I rarely see dolls at yard sales either, except the modern porcelains. But hope springs eternal! Thanks for watching!

    FYI, Dover publishing produced a coloring book back in the 80s with most of these games aaannnd the instructions for play! Also, I have my Toni (blond) and found a Mary Hoyer pattern book from which I made her a skater's costume (crochet). I have patterns for many doll costumes in crochet, mostly with #20 cotton. Love your channel. Where was this flea market? I am in Maine.😁🥰

      I'll have to look for that Dover book, thanks for the heads up! The flea market is in Arundel. It's open 365 days a year, weather permitting. There's almost always at least one dealer there, even in the dead of winter, as long as it's not raining or snowing. But they get there early and often start packing up by 11 a.m. I have heard there is another good flea market in Wiscasset, but haven't been there yet.

    I really love your beautiful Toni Doll and T.V. Comic from the U.K.:)!! Those Comics looked like it had a lot of fun things to read and do as much as I really liked the graphics too:)!! I also really loved the 1940s red wooden Dining Room Table and Chair along with to silver bowl:)!! I also thought it was a bit comical that the 1940s sink and bathtub had no faucets as much as the wooden stove had no top burners, but that is the fun of imagination, LOL:)!! I also loved the Rappaport Brothers 1940s miniature Radio and fancy end table:)!! However, I really LOVED the Dollhouse velveteen rugs because they looked a little like Persian Rugs and as a Child I would have really wanted them in my pink plastic Kusan Victorian Dollhouse:)!!! I no longer have my Kusan Dollhouse, but I have some really nice nostalgic memories:). Also, the Board Games had some nice vintage graphics:)!! If you are interested in Board Games on Sunday Night EST at 9:30 P.M. on MeTV there is a show called "Collectors Call" that will be showing someone''s Board Game Collection:)!! Also, I really liked that painting at the end of this video by B.C. Freeman with the Cat watching the Teddy Bear with the Dolls behind the rock and vegetation:)!! Thanks for sharing this really fun antique and vintage Dolls, Dollhouse Furniture, Comics, and Board Games:)!!!

      The illustration at the end of the video is from the TV Comic Annual book. It's from a story called "A Caravan for Zenzi." Zenzi is the doll in the blue dress. She takes a notion to go camping, so she and the other doll and the teddy bear make a caravan (camper) out of a wooden cart, but they run into trouble and the cat and the hare rescue them. At the end they all eat cake and go home. A good ending to any day!

    Very cool flea market finds! I cannot remember the last time I visited one of our local open air markets here in southern NJ. Hopefully they have re-opened! I recently visited a re-opened Goodwill store near me and found a beautiful Lee Middleton toddler doll for only $20.00. I have always loved Lee's baby and toddler dolls. Their little faces are so cute! Thanks for sharing another great video. Take care & God bless!

    Love the Toni doll! I have been to only one neighborhood sale, and was able to pick up boxed collector Barbies very cheaply! ANtiques like you find are rare in the suburbs of Indianapolis.

    • @vintagedollcollector4828
      @vintagedollcollector4828  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This seems to be an especially good year for finding stuff. People are getting around to selling things they've held on to for awhile, and there is less competition. Glad you were able to get a good deal on the Barbies!

    Isn't the Toni's dress red and yellow? I have seen them advertised as red and yellow and there is one like it in green and yellow. I wonder if you added vinegar to the water would it keep the colors from running together?

    • @vintagedollcollector4828
      @vintagedollcollector4828  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think this one was supposed to be red and white, but she did have a red and yellow dress too. Toni had many different outfits. Have you tried the vinegar trick yet?

  • @bettyboop4263
    @bettyboop4263 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Is it true that if you add vinegar to the water the colors won't run when washing doll clothes? I washed Singing Chattys dress once and it went from red to light pink instantly😵

    • @vintagedollcollector4828
      @vintagedollcollector4828  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is what I have heard. I haven't tested it on anything red though. Red is the worst.
