Hey Guys , Congrats on 1K and I'm enjoying your weekly exploits. However, this vlog was a little nostalgic for me. I'm in my 50's and lived in the Hoogstraten area in Belgium for 30 years. I now live in QLD. But I went to primary school (kindergarten to yr6) just a few meters up the road. Spice town seems to be around where the old Police Boys Club used to be. I did boxing and Judo classes there and thought I was a beast! LMAO now. The JB HiFi was a Jax Tyres store, and the X-Ray place across the road was Australia's (or was it Sydney's) first Mega Hardware store (a predecessor to Bunnings I guess). It was called Hudson's. Their advertising slogan was "Hudson's, Hudson's with an H". That slogan is burnt into my brain for ever! Anyway, keep going, everyone starts as a fledgling. Don't give up!

LOL! You can’t tell cicadas to be quiet! Only the Fonz could do that but it was might time crickets and owls, not summer cicadas.

You won't shut the cicadas up. 😅
    Fun fact
If you notice any drops under the tree with a lot of cicadas. It ain't coming from the tree but the cicadas.
Cicada pee is also known as "cicada rain". It's when isolated water droplets appear to come from trees.
    How it happens
Cicadas urinate frequently because they drink a lot of tree sap. They have a muscle that pushes waste through a small hole like a jet.
    When it happens
It's more likely to happen when:

There's a lot of singing going on in the summer

    You're under a tall tree

There are lots of cicadas in the trees

    Why they do it
Cicadas pee to cool down through evaporation. They also use it as a weapon of self-defense.

I used to develop websites and media since the late 2000s..... you both have the personality and that watchable factor (that's why love to see you both reach millions views), it's the likeable (you have it, in a lot) it's just not coming through (specially the bits about biting the hands that are your target viewers, and those people who got brushed unintentionally, cause never know you have to go back at same places at times, it's very understandable that your in the start-up stage or period of making vids).... and the tacky snipet are not use by really good creators.... and remember that you both are story teller (as being in media is being always a story teller, the way by your actions, words you use, the way you talk, how you deliver or convey is like a story telling, as later when the vids goes through time you will understand everything filmed becomes a past story).... and this is how you get viewers, you want them going back or being discovered even for later, the best quality or best communicator of story will always get more and more views even past it's time..... opinion, you should do what you're doing now in english, and a dutchy version or edition of your sydney adventures, or your "take on things", it's another market (the more market, the more markets do add-up to more YT income)..... my bro-in-law are dutchy (that's the nickname for netherlands people in aus) and there's a clan of their family here with still very strong connection in holland and the whole families are fluent native in dutch language and german (his parents, their brothers and sisters with families moved here in sydney since the 80's and 90s, they were traditional dutch dairy and wheat farming families) and more (should check in sydney western suburb at 85 Market St, Smithfield "The Dutch Shop" (google) to get the info and feel of the market telling you, and as you can tap in also people from holland telling them about australia)..... another thing to get into is visiting unpopular places in sydney like beaches and close towns (there are 100s of them from newcatle or sydney north coast to woolongong to jervis bay or sydney south coast, review the towns for the dutch people.... if interested of ideas and list of "to watch channels or content creator" so you have case studies to improve your YT and become "silver creator", the list are very much like yourselves, but now have bettered through experience, I will do it in the replies..... another example to follow up what you did with this vid, there's also the $10 cheap eats of sydney, go to one every week to make a portfolio of vids content.... do some planning and layout to what you want to do, make sort of ready script but make it spontaneous story telling or change to the moment but you have already the plan of thoughts....

You’ve never made toffee apples, have you. They’re very fiddly to make and the clean-up is time consuming. Dipping strawberries in molten toffee, if you are not careful with your timing, will cook the strawberries and make them collapse. It’s also very easy to burn yourself.
