Donovan single handedly pulled his team to the 5th seed and 2nd round of the playoffs as the best player and only scorer on his team. Ben Simmons team did about the same as Mitchell's team, and Simmons was on one of the most talented teams in the league. Simmons was maybe their 3rd best player, and they were much deeper too, with a far better bench than Utah had. Red shirting should count as experience. Having nba level coaches and trainers helps alot.
Just like Blake Griffin. When he came out during his "rookie" season he exploded on the league due to having a year of NBA level training & conditioning while not getting his body beat up.
Yeah I mean draft and stash should still be considered rookies because they aren’t considered “on the roster” Simmons was and I think that matters.
