Well this is a first haha. I've ALWAYS seen requests for "Take On Me" and I've given it a try a couple times but this song NEEDS VOCALS. As luck would have it (or Twitter would have it) me and one of my favorite vocalists chit chatted about it. And here we are! He was fantastic and very easy to work with and what I had in my head of what it sounding like, he made even better. Not to mention his vocal range is insane too haha. The guy has beautiful teeth. I don't know if you noticed or not, but... They're so white and well positioned, it's amazing. As well as the singing and the guitarplaying. They're probably even more amazing than the teeth.

Kaoss134 Well, you can't really blame the people.. Skulls, grunt/scream music, all black with chains and spikes, it's really intimidating at sight.
Even though I've never heard anything bad on the news about metalheads, there're always incidents and even sometimes even deaths at house/dj concerts, but everyone seems to find the metal concerts more dangerous.
If you happen to trip in a mosh pit, some people will stop and help you up. If you lose your glasses, everyone in a radius of 2 meters will stop and help you look for it.
Truly an amazing community.

Sean Cowen I am around. I mostly lurk here these days. I am more active on FB. I find their algorithms for deciding what I want to see, are better. There is also a much bigger GWAR community there. Also far better chat. For example I sent you a message via 'chat' on here months ago and only got crickets. The system just isn't designed for that anymore.
The main reason though is that i post mainly via Instagram these days and that doesn't share here automatically.

The vocals needed to be louder in the mix...maybe some slight reverb...otherwise, the gnarly guitar and the wonderful rock opera vocals just drown each other out.
It might just be your speakers/headphones. The mix will always vary some depending on the speaker system you're using. The mix sounds fine to me :)

I was a "den mom" to a recoding studio. I learned a lot. Stereo equipment does make a difference but it's not going to make THAT huge of a difference. Most people don't have Mackie boards and other high end gear to listen to their music. Most people are listening in their car, computers,and by medium end gear at best.
I was in studio with Auto Pilot Off and many punk/metal/rock bands.
Well that was kind of my point. It may have sounded just right with the equipment these guys used, but that may vary some when the regular listener, as you stated, uses computer speakers.
And who knows, since this is a collab between a youtube guitarist and vocalist they might intentionally have evened out the two elements so that you are able to hear all the guitar harmonies and stuff.

I don't...it's really muddy in some parts. Still, a fantastic arrangement and product...I'd rethink and tinker with that aforementioned detail..make it a little crisper so it doesn't distort in the average person's speakers...not everyone who appreciates good gear can afford Mackie or MacIntosh.
Well making the perfectly balanced mix that sounds equal no matter on what equipment takes years of practice and experience to master and I don't think these guys are audio engineers, only amazing musicians

you should check out Northern Kings the have 2 albums and they cover 80s music in metal and the singers are from bands like: tarot,nightwish, dreamtale, sonata arctica ect

Damn, Pellek's voice is amazing! Brings me back to my childhood in the 80s when mom would play rock bands with that kind of belting on the loud speakers. This was an incredible collab and I hope to see more. In the meantime, I'm gonna check out Pellek's channel. I'm ashamed to say I'd never heard of him till now.

Don't get me wrong,
The singer isn't to great, he has his hit and misses, I love the take on me, take me on, parts but his ill be gone in a day or two lines are bad, he needs to raise the pitch of his voice, not scream,
Now I know this is metal but to make this better you need to learn the best aspects of a song before you change it, for the vocals that is, he also holds his words to long, and tries to hard to do that weird voice wave thing... With to deep a tone also.... But that's just me, still liked it though

Oh my. love the way PelleK handles the end of the vocal cord snapping high note culmination of the chorus. And this is SO fitting a song to metalicize because it's basically a I Really Want To Copulate With You song and that's one of the pillars of metal...just transmuted in this case from airy fluting synthpop into epic earthen thundering metal ^.^
