Good series so far. Did not know you could scrap old ammo for bullet casings. As I craft most of my ammo. Got here from Sixx's Bunker. Guess you inspired him to do a crafting challenge as well. Subscribed.
Learned something. I thought when a repair kit said 'Useable at a work bench' it meant ONLY at a work bench. So I usually just sold them, or didn't even pick them up if I found one.
Some of the items don’t function exactly as they’re described. It’s sometimes desirable to nudge a weapon or armour into the baseline repair threshold of 50-60% condition, then use the remaining repair kit uses (with supporting material) to continue repairs as if it was a cleaning kit. It can save you a chunk of cash if done properly. Check out my ‘Buy or fix’ guide if you want to see this in action. 👍
@@furiousfelicia5751 Absolutely you can! That's the only way to bring weapons which are below 50-60% condition up to a point where they can be repaired normally with cleaning kits.
I just got this. I played the game when it was new, loved it although the wish granter burried me in money at the end. This mod is quite awesome. First 5 tries I got to a point where I couldn’t continue because no cash, water or food. The biggest problem for me is the absence of a good wiki page that explains stuff. Like crafting, repair and upgrades. But I finally have a good start. The optional stamina change is worse than Tarkov. But I like it.
Yeah, it's totally possible to back yourself into an unrecoverable state. Anomaly gives the illusion of complete freedom, but you really need to hustle to survive early game unless you know what you're doing. I had the same issue when I started, no wiki. Looks like you already found my response to that problem 😉
Wow SUPER cool that the NPCs will use the disguise system too. This mod is really something special. If GSC had the dev/s consulting I would have no worries at all about Stalker 2.
They may take some inspiration from Anomaly, but I doubt that's their goal. I'm expecting the final product to be more like Metro based on what they've shown us.
Yeah, I realized that during testing which is why I made the rule that campfires must be lit. Makes more sense, like you’re taking a quick breather. Kinda like the bonfires from DS.
You can get a Free Eco detector in the Swamp at the Church from Kovlav( i believe that Is his nane) he ask you about find some dirt samples around the Church .. and even of you do not accept the task , he'll give you his old Eco detector. I know that modding isn't really a thing yet (don't really know if season 2 started, still have like 93 episodes to go through for season 1) but you should consider either getting "Desman's Horror Overhaul" and/or "Soundscape Overhaul" for that, or just your own personal install (if you like the feel, but seems too "out there" for Season 2. (you can get both, but you need the optional patch from DHS (it's included in the download for DHS, so you don't have to scour the web looking for a patch; my way of installing them all through MO2 was to just have DHS be overwritten by SO, but have the patch overwrite SO's files (there should be a bolt symbol with like either a green box, and/or a plus next to it, DHS and SO will have the same symbol but with red squares and a minus sign) to override SO's optional stereo thunder (I don't know what unpatching it does) With SO (Soundscape Overhaul) it makes the Zone much quieter, and removes all the non-mutant animal noises, and makes distant mutants have much more of a presence (as you can hear zombies moan a longer way away than in Vanilla), it also changes the sounds of the levels themselves, with most levels being fairly quiet with the exception of bug noises (some levels like the Bar have some grasshoppers or something, and Zaton has bug sounds too (if the outdated demo for 2.0 still holds up for 3.0's level sounds) but not on the level of Red Forest's grasshopper (or whatever is regionally appropriate for Ukraine) sounds. With DHS (Desman's Horror Overhaul) it changes the emission sounds for both the psi storm (siren now sound more spooky and different than the Blowout's (like there's the blowout siren, and the psi storm siren, and neither of them seem to play at the same time, at least so far) and regular blowout, changes the general ambiance of the X labs (there's a demo video of X-16 / the Miracle Machine, no idea if the other labs are changed (the feature list only mentions X-16; haven't even gotten that far to see if X-18 or X-8 are changed and unmentioned because of potential spoilers (or something like that))) what I actually like most out of all the changes personally is the surge sound redesign.
@@Blondefire_HeyBlondie Yeah, it's at least until 2023 and that's not really a sure thing given the situation in Ukraine. Man I hope the dev's and their families come through this all okay, they've given me untold hours of enjoyment. :/
The slugs in Anomaly are impotent compared to buckshot. A long-barreled shotty will do pretty well with buckshot at range, the spread is smaller than you think and can be tightened with upgrades.
Question: When you disassemble bandit armour it doesn't seem to give you a patch, example @ 1:21:24 Would it be better to remove the patch first, given their value, uses in crafting or requirement for missions? Also, nice progress this episode.
It won’t give you a patch by design. The only time you get a faction patch is if you loot it from a Stalker. Patches on uniforms are explicitly for the disguise system. You don’t get a physical patch by tearing it off armour. Removing a patch from faction armour means that if you wear it then you’ll be identified as who you really are and not as the faction that the armour belongs to. There’s no value in removing patches unless you plan to fix and/or wear the armour. Side note: you can only attach a faction patch to armour if both the patch and the armour belong to same faction. You can’t attach a Merc patch to Ecologist armour, for example.
