This station is build on land donated by my great great grandfather pandit amarnath ..he had one son namely pandit kripa ram..kripa ram had 3 sons namely sadhu ram, girdhari lal and dhanpat rai. They were landlords of Natla. They had lands in chak amru and sukho chak also. They had a 16 room single storied haveli at Natla and 2 shops at chak amru railway station.
We want to see both Indian side of Kashmir and Pakistan side of Kashmir develop caz Kashmiris in general have suffered be it Kashmiri Pundits, Muslims and even Sikhs especially regarding the hostility 😐

Hi. I live on India side of this area. Amrchak is not last station before 1947. The train goes into India Jammu. Last station was Miran Sahib(RS Pura). Later when this line was closed after partition, India connect Jammu to Pathankot in 1972.
@Kraken Thunder Funfact : Srinagar/Kashmir is still not connected to the rest of India by railway. That would happen once the chenab and anji khand bridge are commissioned. That's the last part of Qazigund Baramulla Banihal rail link.
Checked on google Maps, this station is only 70 km from my location.... And trains, station here are awesome, clean, almost 10-20 trains everyday.... Proud of 🇮🇳❤❤
My father was station master of Mariyal railway station after 1971 war between India and Pakistan. I used to go to Chak Amru.Chak Amru was so busy you won't believe.This is a beautiful Area.I love this area.I love the local people. My father name is chaudhy Ahmad Ali.I got my matric certificate from shakargarh in 1974.Govt high school Darmaan road shakargarh.I miss this area.

Well this is not an isolated case. Once there was a train service from Peshawar to Landi kotal. The construction was definitely a feat, an achievement for British Railway Engineers. No fare was charged for the locals, that was free. Pakistan Govt. slowly allowed that spectacular railway to decay for ever!

I am not convinced with your calculation 😔...it is not per feet.....34 kg per feet..... something wrong because that will be 112 kg per metre and we are using as you know 52 kgpm and heading towards 60...

Sir you are right in India no body can dare to close a station or Railway section which is operative or loss making. We see in Indian railways sections like Amritsar to Atari, Amritsar to Derababa Nanak, Amritsar to Qadian, Amritsar to Khemkaran as all these sections are loss making but trains are still running on these sections. Very sorry to see this state of affairs in Pakistan Railways. Need to raise the voice by the people to restart these train sections. As an Indian, I strongly feel that partition benefitted neither of us. India lost a lot and the same goes for Pakistan too. 💔
Partition did benefit India a lot
The seed of seperate land was sowed among Muslims way before partition, even if we would have remian a single country there would have been a group of people/militants who would fight for their separate muslim land and it would have become hell living here.

میں نے ریلوے میں ایز اے ریلوے گارڈ نوکری کی ھے1976میں وزیر آباد سے پسنجر ٹرین نارووال کے راستے چک امرو آتا تھا۔رات چک امرو ۔ریلوے رننگ روم تھڑ نا ھوتا تھا۔۔رات کے وقت چک امرو میں جموں کشمیر سے ھندستان کے ریلوے انجنوں کی آوازیں آتی تھی۔۔انڈیا نے اپنی ریلوے میں ترقی کی ھے جبکہ پاکستان نے روڈ میں ۔۔۔1965 کی جنگ میں شکرگرھ انڈیا نے قبضہ کر لیا تھا ۔جب جنگ ختم ہوئی تو انڈیا قبضہ ختم کر دیا تھا۔پا کستان نے انڈیا کے علاقے خالی کردئیے تھے۔کھیم کرن وغیرہ ۔کھیم کرن سے پاکستان نے قبضہ کرلیا تھا۔وھاں سے پاکستان نے انڈیا کا ایک ریلوے انجن 3770 پر قبضہ کر کے پاکستان لے آئے تھے۔۔3770 جتنا بڑا انجن آج بھی پاکستان کے پاس اس سے بڑا انجن نھی ھے۔۔ ریلوے ٹریک بحال کر کے کم ازکم دو ریل گاڑیاں ضرور چلانی چاھئے۔۔شکر گڑھ کے لوگ بھت سادہ اور صاف گو تھے۔دربار صاحب کرتار راہ داری کی وجہ سے اس علاقے کی انٹرنیشنل اھمیت ھوگئ ھے۔۔
