    Looks great! I’m about to stain my pergola, but I’m hoping to use the sprayer. If it’s just wasting too much or if it’s too messy, I’ll reevaluate. Great video!

    I have used the exact same stain for fencing, at least 6 gallons. I have never run across the clumping you have in your video. Where do you live? You may have a different formula. I live in California.

      I'm in Windsor, Canada. You might me right. Different formula.

    Did you sand or power wash?

      I just hosed it down with a spray hose the day before.

    It would have been better if you would have shared about how many hours it took you both and how much of the stain you used ,but thanks it was a nice video , that was a good tip about the fiber on the bottom and not to stir the bottom

      Yes good idea. It took us maybe 7-8hrs & two cans of stain. It was a lot of work but worth it.

      @@jonahvlogsdiy4143 Thank you we have one about 20 x 8 but with more of the lattice type of detail I guess it will take about the same amount of stain and for me to do alone about 10-12 hours . Ours is of cypress wood good for the SW Florida weather .

    Good job, looks great.
    Is it better to paint with a brush or using a small roller?

    I thought you’d have to wipe the stain with cloth right after applying it on with brush

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143
      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to with this type of job. If doing a nice table, wiping would be a good idea.

    How well does the sunshade topper hold up in rain and wind?

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143
      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sun shade topper works great in rain but if super strong winds, make sure its stapled down good. I've had it for over 5 yrs now & still holding up but starting to show some wear.
