The story behind the song is quite sad, is about an opera singer called caruso and his tragic life. Lucio was great, one of the best italy made. I was born the same day As him, the 4th of march. Everytime you go the 4th of march to bologna, the city he was from, there are parties everywhere in his honour :)

this is not the best version, the studio version for the LP is the best ever. Lucio Dalla always said that in the studio you work best to produce music, live performances need other equipment and performances.
