On the Amavasai Days, How to do the Neivedhyam?( Are we allowed to chant Gayathri Mantram and then finish with Sarva Pithru devathath bhoyam namo namaha).
NOTE: MANY OF US HAVE STARTED WITH THE AMAVASAI RITUALS IN THE RECENT TIMES.PLS ASK YOUR MIL ABT THIS.

This is not done on amavasya. Always pournami only. No pitru slokam. Brahmins don't do neivedyam to pitrus. We do shradham for them.

Hi regarding your queries - 1. We usually follow the pooja vidanam book and follow the mantrams mentioned in that book.
2. In case if you can't pronounce the sanskrit names, please go ahead and tell in Tamil. Nothing wrong in it. All you need is the devotion to do it.

2.im planning to ue brass kodam for draping saree to ambal.on top vellisombu kalasam vepen.so while amman ah alaikarche.should i carry entire setup or kalasam with amman facce can be taken n invited and fix with saree decorated brass kodam.pls advice ?

Hi thanks for watching the video - regarding your doubts, you can keep 2 mugams.
Second, since you drape the kodam with saree you can take both. But Amma told to take only the TOP one to pooja room

Actually my mother in law told you draw kolam and keep a small villaku in that kolam and with your hands say Amma come and touch the kailasam in the original place to make it easy. I don't carry from one place to another. Just touch because the decorations are so delicate.

You can give the nombu thread to your daughter after you finish pooja at home. It is not wrong in doing that.
