Hey Shaun, this comment may be a little different than you're use to. My dad was a enormous fan of yours, to the point he was talking about getting a jeep to outfit for overlanding as he was just shy of retirement. Around the same time my girlfriend and I got into Van Life and started filming our form of adventures. TH-cam, for all it's flaws, rekindled the relationship my dad and myself had. It was common ground when it felt like there wasn't much common ground. Last November my dad went into the hospital with Covid, but didn't make it back out. We sped back to California from Utah, making it just in time to see him before he passed. In spending a lot of time trying to understand him in his house, I found your channel and began to binge. May seem strange, and it feels strange writing this after almost a year, but your videos still give me a feeling of connection to him. I hope to one day build out an overland rig to remember him by and continue that connection. His Yellow Lab Chief is now a Van Life/adventure dog living his best life out on the road with us. Anyway, that's the short of it. I just wanted to say thank you for these videos, they've come to mean a lot to me personally. My dad would have loved to meet you.
So sorry about your dad loss. My dad was a Jeep fanatic and loved his 1964 Willys Overland pick-up truck. He passed away before I got my 2020 Gladiator, I know he would have gone crazy about it. Weird how things like this can create a strong bond.
