    *What Happen Timing Chain Stretch*
    Once a timing chain is stretched and has lost its integrity, the chain may skip a gear and lose the necessary coordination leading to an engine misfire. Repeated misfires could indicate a timing chain issue and should be investigated. There is a rattling sound.

    great video, at what KM should you get the timing chain replaced? Or typically what mileage should it be replaced? I'm buying a 2008-2009 model 2.0 diesel and can't see much online Nissan say 300,000 KM but I'm guessing around the 220-250K KM mark?

    So the chain already jumped on gear and even did create a bunch of metal chavings, yet the engine is still running afterwards? I like this.

    Hello, I have Nissan Xtrail T30 with the following problem. Start the engine when it is cold. Drive some time until the engine reach temperature and become warm. Turn off the engine and try to start it. The engine does not start. After waiting about 2 hours, the engine starts. We checked for faults, the gas injection, all sensors etc and cannot find the reason. Do you think the defect may be in the timing chain? It is not original and the distance passed is 50000 km.

      @carfix1993  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      First change crank and cam angle sensor
      If not go to timing chain
      Cold start timing chain ⛓️ not stretch getting worm it stretched

    • @peterduxbury927
      @peterduxbury927 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I had the same problem. It was the Cam Angle Sensor. Remember to replace both the Crank / Cam Angle Sensor together as new.

    • @nikit0ondn

      In our case, it was the FlowMeter

    Should use gaskets over goop, just makes more work next time around cleaning all the crap off.

    I thought the problem is CKP sensor circuit? Your given concern is different from what you are fixing. The problem you are fixing is mouse and misfire apparently.

      he is demonstrating through crank sensor adjusment what would happen if the timing chain is stretched and caused the cranck shaft position to advance one notch and affecting the engine and hence the apparent sensor problem. which means the problem is not the sensor but the timing chain has stretched. he is right. in a way he is solving both the sensor and timing chain 'problem' in one go! genius.

    I don't think you set your balancer correctly

    • @MIGSSZ
      @MIGSSZ 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I was about to say the same thing..
      They definitely did not get the balancer timing correct, only the mark.
      if you flip the small chain around, then you will notice it will line up with the timing mark for the balancer, and the mark is very visible.

  • @MIGSSZ
    @MIGSSZ 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    12:18 the balancer timing is wrong here.
    You missed the balancer mark on the balancer, if you flip the chain around then it will be corrected.
