@@lanceparker8592 what Spencer is holding is an open cell foam. It's just a piece of generic foam tubing cut to roughly the size of an RC tire. A closed-cell foam is molded the exact dimensions of an RC tire and generally makes the RC cars drive much more consistently and are a lot more durable. But for whatever reason, they take traction away from those carpet tires. Eventually, someone will crack the code and molded foams will become a must-have in carpet racing just like dirt.
Well they are definitely not as setup intensive as 2wd buggy BUT that doesn't necessarily mean that setup doesn't matter. Back in the day they used to say the same thing about 1/8 buggy long before it was super easy to open up the diffs and well before the pill system that allows you to quickly change toe and anti squat and all of that stuff.
Why don’t you guys make octagons anymore was a great tire for carpet
Thanks!
Is that one 1/10 scale or 1/16
5:27 i dont see fuzzbite fronts, just rears. so your saying to run fuzzbite rears all around????
T6.4?
You'd think the mold closed cell inserts would be way better than those donuts but what do I know
What does he mean by closed vs open cell foam?

@@mgers75 ohh gotcha thank you! I just started carpet racing at the end of this last winter, still learning the new stuff
Why not make a better tire?
hasnt literally every 17.5 2wd buggy guy ever said “oh i put a base setup on my stadium truck and never change it”
