Oystein! We had a couple beers in a bar in Budapest at the 2002 ITEC. I did kung fu euphonium with a friend at the street music competition--glad to see you're doing so well and still knocking it out of the park!

Hi, I’m a sophomore tuba player in Knoxville, Tennessee. Ever since I’ve begun playing I’ve looked up to you and this is the first piece I’ve taken upon my own time to learn without a recommendation. As someone who looks up to you, can you recommend any good exercises for achieving the level of range you have?

amazing, technique wise, you've said that multiphonics and some didgeridoo method has inspired you, how would you describe your approach to multiphonics and circular breathing, I'm a hs senior that's loved hearing your pieces for quite some time, but Ive found myself hung up on those things. His sound is so small, like a baritone horn. Useless in anything other than light solo music. This is not how tubas are supposed to sound.
