    I agree! As an esthetician I steer clients towards retinaldehyde. It’s only one conversion away from Retinoic acid, is much more gentle on the skin and well tolerated by all skin types. All vitamin A should be followed or paired with a great moisturizer. The worst thing you can do for your skin is use products that disrupt your natural skin barrier without replacing it. That’s where so many skin conditions develop, using too harsh of products.

    • @dannagordon9618

    With the vitamin C more than 20%, as long as it is not an active vitamin C like L-absorbic acid then it's safe to use. Like the product from Paula's choice they use more than 20% of vit C but it is an inactive vitamin C. So it won't irritate your skin.

    I use 10 % niacinamide serum daily at night and it’s doing wonders for me cause from last 2 yrs I have severe acne which comes back again and again and I have tried everything then after some research I got to know about 2 ingredients which is I can say best for every skin type for active acne I use benzoyl peroxide gel cream every night after moisturising my face and it cleared my acne in just one week and for the red marks I got from those acne I use niacinamide 10% serum only at night and then put moisturiser and then lock in with vaselline gelly and in one month my skin got cleared 😊

      hi there, i am asian and use tretinoin too. even though asian skin more prone to tretinoin irritation, it doesn't mean apply to all asian skin, some asian are fine with tretinoin. if you afraid of irritation, you can try test patch first on skin behind your ear for few days. if nothing happen you can start apply on your face. Or if you don't want to use tretinoin tell your doctor, they may have another alternatif

    I disagree on the tretinoin part...its the biggest game changer if used in a correct way...to reduce the chances of irritation, go for 0.025% and do it only thrice a week and can go for sandwich method(moisturiser - tretinoin - moisturiser)

    I use Retin-A it’s the best. Skin irritation / peeling is normal after a few application but it will get better. I’m not going to spend my money on retinols cos they’re are expensive and less effective

    Adapalene is NOT for wrinkles!!! It is ONLY for Acne!!! I use prescription Tretinoin Cream at 0.01 % the Highest strength! And it has absolutely changed MY SKIN!!! I will NEVER be without it!!! I also use Prescription Azelaic acid Gel cream at 15 %, it's also great! Just because it doesn't work for YOU doesn't mean it won't work for OTHER People!!! I go to a Board Certified Dermatologist, I don't take advice from a TH-cam Dermatologist! I Highest suggest others don't either!

    I have been using 10% Niacinamide. My skin got worse with redness purging dryness itching so I took a break and now started using it with a moisturiser and now I think it’s getting better. My skin is better now I think I’m getting used to 10%. I wish I knew this earlier

    • @aimyandco
      @aimyandco 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@adityamore3474 it really depends how you skin will react to it. Obe thing that I gained from my experience was that 10% is too high and you definitely need a moisturiser with it, mix it or use a light layer of moisturiser before it and alternate days are good as your skin gets used to it. Lastly it requires a lot of patience a lot that you would think it’s making no difference but it will eventually!

    ⚠️🚨DOC PLEASE HELP ME!! 🚨⚠️ I am 34, black/light skin woman, I have never had acne in my whole life, but suddenly I’ve developed very bad acne around my jaw line and checks as soon as I turned 30. At first I thought it was due to wearing masks, but my acne has persisted even now that I don’t wear them anymore. Then I thought it was due to diet but still no change, so I guess it’s down to hormones. The problem is that I don’t want to take any contraceptives, nor I want to take accutane. I have oily, sensible acne prone skin. What can I do to treat this acne ? I went to a dermatologist, she gave me differing and it burned my whole face, then some antibacterial soap and acne antibiotics to no avail. What are my other options? please 🙏🏾🙏🏾 help meee😩😩🙏🏾

    Well, as somebody who had his breakouts starting at age of 14, i went to a skincare doctor and got a discription to tretnoin gel.
    Used it for 2 weeks and the breakout of hell started 😅.
    Now i got the explaination for it.
    Since i had that problem till today 9 months after it had accured, im still taking isotretnoin tablets wich i will be ending this week.
    Hopes i dont get breakouts
    That would destroy my skin more than it has been lately.
