Back in the OG show, there was a 2 part episode titled "One Man's Worth" wherein Mastermould from the future sent a time-traveling mutant to 1955 to eliminate a young Xavier before he had a chance to strengthen the mutant movement and create the X-men. Along with him it sent the most advanced sentinel Nimrod. Bishop, his sister Shard, Storm and Wolverine traveled back as well and managed to stop them (eventually) in a university lab where Xavier studied. That man in Jean's psychometric vision was the janitor in the lab where Nimrod was blown up and is how a chunk of it leeched onto him. Bastion's mother also made a cameo in a diner where the group tussled with a racist shop owner. Bastion's origin in this show connects all the way back there! \o/

In almost every episode prior to this one, Bastion is present in a scene if you look for him! Showing how he’s been working in the background the whole time. For example, the kid drawing of burning buildings they see in Bastion’s home is the same drawing being made by kid hands (Bastion) in Madelyn’s vision through Cerebro in the first episode! He’s also passing through the shot at the beginning of the dance at Genosha :(
Sad to see how many people decided to go through " something" ( even if they didn't know it was to become a sentinel) because they were afraid of mutants/ the future
The Shiar Empire is the biggest intergalactic empire in Marvel so they were likely broadcasting the announcement of Charles and Lillandra's union across the universe the same way all the TV networks show any royal British wedding in real life.
First off, welcome back, Navi. This episode really was cooking things up. Seeing who Bastion is for the first time was very surprising; given the fact that he’s a living descendant of every model of Sentinels ever to be created. His ambition was so extreme that even the villain cameos of Dr. Doom and Zemo drew a line. Everybody keeps saying that he went too far by turning his own mother into a Sentinel but personally, I don’t think that was the case. I believe that she was already a Human Sentinel some time after she became pregnant with him since his father carried the enhanced DNA and passed it on to both of them. As for the rest, it’s absolutely insane how those abominations of science are everywhere that they could even be among our own friends and family. We already live in a world of extreme prejudice so with this now happening, no one will ever make peace with others. All those aside, it was very great to see those action sequences, especially when Nightcrawler had the spotlight with his sword fighting. I haven’t seen him kicking ass since Dark Phoenix and I did loved the callback from Apocalypse when Logan saw him traveling through dimensions. With the conversation between Bastion and Dr. Cooper, it now got me thinking about something I’ve learned through a documentary called “Walking with Beasts”. With the narrating voice of Kenneth Branagh, he explained how we spent decades, if not centuries studying the history of the natural world and there was one line that still lives on to this day. If there’s anything that life has taught us, it is this: “no species lasts forever”. It’s very ironic how mankind understood how nature works and yet, we still can’t accept that we too could disappear from the face of the Earth. If Mother Nature decides that our time is finished, so be it. I mean, we’ve been here for thousands of years and look what we have done to the planet as a whole. We will pay the ultimate price for our actions.
It was confirmed by the writers that Magneto killed thousands when he EMP'd the planet. Airplanes fell out of the sky, life-support patients, etc. That's why Xavier's ship fell the way it did as you all said.
Watching this again day after the American Elections... Fuck ME if this doesn't ring HELLA true today more than at any point in American history 😩 The problem is WE (the SENSIBLE people who want equal treatment and opportunity for ALL citizens) didn't have a Charles or Magneto to save US lol. Suraj said it best in the ep where Xavier sat the leaders of the Shi'ar down in a classroom... I wish we had a Charles Xavier FR 🙌😆🤣
Slavery, the Civil War, Jim Crow, the Civil Rights Movement, people today really need to get over themselves and the idea today is the worst point in history. We're not even in the top 10 of American historical periods as being the "worst ".
Normies and missing the thematical context seems to quickly be becoming a norm over here lmao. Spiderman wasnt born with his powers so he isn't mutant. Although It doesnt matter if Spiderman is classified as one - eventually he could be. Racism is not rooted in logic. Its just bigotry defining a convenient scapegoat to direct hate towards.
Fun Fact: Controls being inverted is the CORRECT way to represent controls. I say that as a Game Designer/Systems Developer in the industry, and a common-sense gamer. Just saying 🙂
It very clearly explained that Bastion is an organically born sentinel. So he is a sentinel mutant hybrid. But to him he would never truly consider himself a mutant.
Bishop made it back to his time due to his time band but he probably dropped baby Cable because every time Bishop travels through time, he's falling into a rainbow and screaming.
So just in case you guys and gals missed it. Magneto's emp pulse didn;t just shut down the prime sentinels, planes probably fell from the skies, life support machines also went down, a whole lot of innocent people died when he saved mutants
Magneto just killed everyone in a jet, everyone underneath a jet, in need of special services like fire fighters because of the airplane that just crashed into a building, as well as anyone on life support, in need of O2 at home, needing refrigeration to keep their insulin cold, several people at sea, and several older pacemakers like they had in the 90s. All of whom had nothing to do with Genoshia. Still think he was right?
Spider-Man is a Mutate, not a mutant. Mutates are anyone whose DNA gets mutated after birth, Mutants are those with the X-Gene specifically. Hence treating them like a separate race of people, because you can only be born a mutant, you can’t become one later in life. (Now Deadpool is kinda a niche exception to this rule since he got the X-Gene via the weapon X program but whether or not he’s a mutant or a mutate kinda depends on how he’s behaving and what the X-Men think of him in the moment.
The episode title references what Gyrich said in the first episode, where he believed tolerating and accepting mutants would lead to mutantkind overtaking humans, and thus rendering them extinct. Still, Robbie's mother is a piece of work for believing that the clearly modified people who flew through her window with their hand lasers primed to fire over her own son
8:05 Anyone crazy enough to think this was a good idea would also think they'd be leaving their mother behind to die if they didn't sentinel her over. Ensentify.
In the last episode Surja and Micky looked like there were gonna cry when X showed up now there the first ones to scream out he's late. The X hate never ends. 😂😢 I think it's because of ageism if it's not racism it's gotta be something to hate. Dam those Indian guys don't like old people sorry X. 😢
The biggest problem is that both the show and the current era of comic in the last nearly ten years have forgotten something Professor X started back in 90s: Mutants are Human, just like Spider-man or Captain America or Hawkeye or anyone else, the just have a unique genetic mutation from birth. They are not a new species, just a new generation.
The problem is that the anti-mutant bigots never accepted that, and insisted mutants weren't human. Eventually mutants themselves began to agree with that because they didn't want to be the same species as the humans who oppressed them. Human bigots thought they were better than mutants and in response mutants started saying they were better than humans.
@jenk4545 though you are correct, I'm talking about most writers and production staff. This show does stick the landing (no spoilers, just opinion), most of the time writers and staff at Marvel/Disney have strayed from the course.
@@jamcalx Same species but different sub-species. Theres a reason why Mutants are always called the next step in evolution, because they are. This is something we have known for several decades in the comics. Almost 25yrs since Beast stated Mutant DNA is as far seperated from Homo-Sapiens. As Humans DNA differ from Neanderthals.
omega red is not omega there has always only been 2 descriptions of omega level mutant powers and it's 1 no measurable limit to your power or 2 the ability to kill the world. in this cartoon only jean grey, storm, and magneto are omega level while professor x has been on and off the list of olm but unltimately he would need help from cerebro in order to be a world ender. iceman is a omega level mutant so maybe he'll show up next season. omega reds has carbonadium(russian adamantium but slightly weaker) tenticals and the abillity to drain the life of those around him, the carbonadium is poisoning him and he has to steal peoples life to regenerate himself, oh and his life drain negates wolverines healing factor.
Man, I just can’t believe how bastion was being the help for the Marvel villains doom and zemo and I would’ve been surprised if the Kingpin from spiderman was gonna be in there
Spider-Man is considered a "Mutate". Mutates are people who acquire their powers through outside means. Spider-Man, Hulk, Cap, Dr. Strange, etc. Mutants are people who are born with their powers, they possess the X-gene. Cyclops, Storm, and Magneto are examples.
Ok,"Mutants" in Marvel are specifically people who have the "X-Gene" (derived from Celestials millions of years ago experimemting on the human genome), basically the next step in human evolution. The issue is that Marvel used "Mutant", a very common and broad real world term, to describe a VERY specific group of people in their universe. Spiderman, in "real world" terms, would be a mutant in the sense that his DNA is altered by radiation from the radioactive spider bite, but in Marvel terms, he is NOT a mutant. He does not have the "X-Gene", nor was he given it (like deadpool for example, though there are conflicting origins on whether he had a mild agility mutation prior, a dormant gene, or none whatsoever). This also applies to the Fantastic 4, who gained power from cosmic energy, The Hulk, who is powered by gamma radiation and a 2nd personality in his subconcious taking over, Captain America who was given the Super Soldier Serum, etc etc. This is also the reason why the public doesnt mind people like Cap and the F4, because their origins are documented, but with "Mutants" there is the underlying fear that mankind (homosapien) will go the way of the Neanderthal, replaced by the "higher" form of life, ntm just the general issues that can arise from people just being born with random powers in society. Spiderman, infamously, is split amongst people in universe because they dont know who he is behind the mask, but given that he isnt an X-Man (though he is an honorary one and on good terms with them) most people understand that he isnt one. Its the secrecy and "vigilante" nature that causes the spilt in public opinion of him, not his powers. And finally, The X-Men 90s series (which obviously includes 97) and Spiderman the Animated Series were in the same universe and even had a crossover, hence the cameo. Again, the confusion is on early Marvel Comics for choosing the word "Mutant" for the X-Men, instead of something to differentiate it from real world science. But all in all, no, spiderman is not a "Mutant" in any way shape or form in Marvel terms Also Juggernaut isnt a mutant either, he gets his power from a magic gem Nor is Bastion, I dont know why people keep missing it, he is a technopath because he is literally organic technology. Born, not made. Explicitly NOT a mutant. Again, no X-Gene. He's just a literal human sentinel
Mutants have a literal Mutant Gene. Spider-man is a “Human Mutate,” he doesn’t have the Mutant Gene, he had his DNA spliced with Spider DNA. Technically there’s no other material difference, but society in the Marvel Universe treats it as if there is. That cognitive dissonance plays a major role in a lot of stories.
That said once they go through mutants in the comics dark futures the sentinels WOULD just reclassify superheroes as mutants too. Because authoritarian regimes NEED an enemy to thrive. Even if they have to keep inventing it.

the declaration of war was definitely the attack on genosha. the humans and the ones in power will never admit it though, so they will portray Magneto as the ultimate bad guy who started it
The way I see it, Magneto was responsible for the massacre/genocide because he set up Ginosha to be a nation, which made it a place where all mutants wanted to relocate. He also had the Morlocks relocate there. This makes mutants an easy target. Charles wanted mutants to live in peace within the society of humans.
No no wanting a safe haven for his people who are being persecuted for being different most of the time (cause you do have bad eggs) I don't see it that way. Bastion would've found a way to massacre mutants in a large scale regardless. Magneto is one of my favorite characters because yes he chooses violence after what's he's seen people do to those that are different (holocaust) Yet he often has tried his friends way only to have it blow back in his face. @darkurious Thank you I understand where you're coming from but I can't really see it that way personally. But, glad we could have a conversation lol unlike alot of people.
I do wonder if you guys would still promote Harry Potter stuff after watching this. Because you guys were absolutely the humans in the middle who were saying both sides had gone too far and we should tolerate anti mutant acrivists/ JKR. Since you did your reactions and played and bought that game her money took our healthcare away in the uk. And our rights. We have no hope now and no future where we can be ourselves. Her money and influence which you contributed too has made our lives not worth living. She signed a declaration calling for our eradication. I’d hope after being able to empathise with the mutants you would be able to empathise with the trans community in the uk and apologise for siding with her. Because they show exactly how it feels. The world calls you a freak, governments want you dead, religions want you dead. And liberals in the middle like yourselves will be more offended by the calling out of transphobia than by transphobia itself. And will be completely silent while until the oppression is unavoidable and then think a Facebook post makes that ok. You don’t know how alone and scared we are and then you gave Bastion money because ‘he just cares about biology.’ And you like his game. 11 trans children have died from suicide since JKR’s campaign got puberty blockers banned. And the numbers are being hidden so it’s probably a lot more. Was your game worth it?
Can you stop spreading lies? - There is no evidence that J.K. Rowling directly used her money to influence healthcare policies or funding in the UK, including those affecting trans individuals. - J.K. Rowling did not sign or support any declaration calling for the "eradication" of trans people. Your claims are more interpretative or rhetorical rather than factual in their direct causality. Also, it's just a fking game, not buying or playing it would not make any difference, Rowling has a shit ton of money with oe without it.

Not to mention all the save games corrupted. An act of war indeed.
4:55 They did in fact. The relationship was broken off after Beast's mutation had to be advanced to save his life - he became more catlike - and Trish couldn't look past his new nature. He simply told her he was gay to break it off quickly. He has an on and off fling with Abigail Brand, a green-haired mutant that operates S.W.O.R.D, Earth's interstellar response unit akin to SHIELD.
Lol the old gay excuse to avoid stuff.
Talked right over the best line in the show....
The Shiar Empire is the biggest intergalactic empire in Marvel so they were likely broadcasting the announcement of Charles and Lillandra's union across the universe the same way all the TV networks show any royal British wedding in real life.
Cable knows about the Porsche because its from his past. It doesn't necessarily have to exist
Professor Xavier came in with the pizza and the whole planet is on fire.
We do, his name is Donald Trump.
Tolerance is not enough. Tolerance is not acceptance. Tolerance Is extinction. Acceptance is evolution.
17:45 It's my understanding that if you have an electronic device turned off when an EMP hits, then said electronic device is not impacted.
Look at Roberto go!!! Love that he wanted to surprise Jubilee 🥰☺️ even though its under terrible circumstances 😅
Sorry for the language
The whole nimrod thing is one of the few necessary things to have understood from the original series.
Omega level doesn't mean invincible
Damn, no reaction to the "Magneto was right" line. Still good reaction tho! What a great episode
Mfer heard omega level for the first time and now he keeps harping on how they need omega levels.
8:05 Anyone crazy enough to think this was a good idea would also think they'd be leaving their mother behind to die if they didn't sentinel her over. Ensentify.
Remember, all these people agreed to be turned into this
Still waiting for a reaction channel to catch them playing “Wagner”during Kurt’s moment. Alas, it’s yet to happen…
So Roberto is sunspot while sunfire a completely different X-men member
Did they actually talk over the "Magneto was right." drop?
lol of course nimrod just had to survive that event from x-men the animated series
Another terrific episode.
Hey guys what about the dandandan episode 9
Someone has to explain to me how all these human-Sentinels have rocket blasters in their feet and hands and none of them noticed 😂
something something bio-organic nanites
7:25 yea dude because its just that easy and its always worked out in the past. That guy is what delusion looks like.
As Humans DNA differ from Neanderthals.
omega red is not omega there has always only been 2 descriptions of omega level mutant powers and it's 1 no measurable limit to your power or 2 the ability to kill the world. in this cartoon only jean grey, storm, and magneto are omega level while professor x has been on and off the list of olm but unltimately he would need help from cerebro in order to be a world ender. iceman is a omega level mutant so maybe he'll show up next season. omega reds has carbonadium(russian adamantium but slightly weaker) tenticals and the abillity to drain the life of those around him, the carbonadium is poisoning him and he has to steal peoples life to regenerate himself, oh and his life drain negates wolverines healing factor.
lol marvels girls costume is just her normal costume lol what
Imagine every trump supporter was a robot thing and that’d be the equivalent that’d be crazy
Man, I just can’t believe how bastion was being the help for the Marvel villains doom and zemo and I would’ve been surprised if the Kingpin from spiderman was gonna be in there
Spider-Man is not a mutant lol
If you listen closely, the web shooter power store gets turned off and the web snaps.
Magneto was right!
I think Charles's suit ran in Shiar wifi or something like that because it only seems to work in Shiar space.
Exactly. Mind or his telepathy, telepathic power .
13:23 😂 smh
But all in all, no, spiderman is not a "Mutant" in any way shape or form in Marvel terms
Also Juggernaut isnt a mutant either, he gets his power from a magic gem
Nor is Bastion, I dont know why people keep missing it, he is a technopath because he is literally organic technology. Born, not made. Explicitly NOT a mutant. Again, no X-Gene.
He's just a literal human sentinel
Does anyone else notice how X-Men 97' was using different styles of animation throughtout the show in certain moments?
This show did NOT need to SLAP so hard...yet here we are.
BBBD
Mutants have a literal Mutant Gene. Spider-man is a “Human Mutate,” he doesn’t have the Mutant Gene, he had his DNA spliced with Spider DNA.
Technically there’s no other material difference, but society in the Marvel Universe treats it as if there is. That cognitive dissonance plays a major role in a lot of stories.
That said once they go through mutants in the comics dark futures the sentinels WOULD just reclassify superheroes as mutants too.
Because authoritarian regimes NEED an enemy to thrive. Even if they have to keep inventing it.
@ Oh yeah, it is very much in line with the metaphor for real life
Dandadan episode 9 pliss
when dandadan ep9 reaction
Magneto IS right.
In the future, please avoid yapping when a character is giving a monologue. You guys missed an insanely important moment because of it
I have to agree I notice with reactions TH-camr they talk over the show they watch or paused to talk when they watching what they need to do is to talk when the show is finished I know it's not my place but I ain't gonna lie it's fucking annoying when they talk over the show.
@danieladusei1993 No, pausing is best, otherwise it's just someone staring at a screen for 30min
Roberto's codename is Sunspot& not Sunfire, none you 4 are true X-Men fans at all?.
the declaration of war was definitely the attack on genosha. the humans and the ones in power will never admit it though, so they will portray Magneto as the ultimate bad guy who started it
11:17 My man Wolverine!!!! 🙏🏽💪
15:30 SPIDEY!!!!!!!
NEEDED to see Navis reaction to underwear Magneto
6:42 My man Doctor Doom!!!!! 🙏🏽💪
i think you guys msised the part where the humans voluntarily went into this...
15:32 My man Spider-Man!! 🙏🏽💪
Guys we want dandadan not some funny xmen
I waiting for yalll to see the teleportation scene
The way I see it, Magneto was responsible for the massacre/genocide because he set up Ginosha to be a nation, which made it a place where all mutants wanted to relocate. He also had the Morlocks relocate there. This makes mutants an easy target. Charles wanted mutants to live in peace within the society of humans.
No no wanting a safe haven for his people who are being persecuted for being different most of the time (cause you do have bad eggs) I don't see it that way. Bastion would've found a way to massacre mutants in a large scale regardless. Magneto is one of my favorite characters because yes he chooses violence after what's he's seen people do to those that are different (holocaust)
Yet he often has tried his friends way only to have it blow back in his face. "Magneto was right"
@@andrewmahabir589 I respect your opinion. It's valid.
Y'all are obsessed with a children's book author who tweets too much 😂 She's not a politician, she has no power.
Do you have a source for ANY of your claims about her?
Someone has NOT been to Canada. Looking at you, Navi. I almost spit out my drink at your “Canada is a tolerant wonderland” comment😂 I love you as a person, but please educate yourself.
Ah…to be super ignorant and in your 20’s again, when you think you know anything..
