For me as someone who's mother tongue is not englisch as well, your explanations are very understandable! Even more because of your practical examples where you visual show exactly what you mean. It's ok, Anton, you are fine 😉
Anton, I think doing a Q&A would be interesting. Especially now that you can't get out so much and film. I would be interested in stories about how you got stabbed, your time in the navy and how you ended up at the circus. Also, your opinions on Magnus and Juji would be fun to know. Cheers!
hi anton you'll probably most likely not see this but i just got into rock climbing 2 weeks ago and i was really inspired by magnus, you, and juji you're probably one of my favorite people in youtube right now and i just want to say thank you and keep making awesome content.
Anton, has anyone told you lately just how wonderful and amazing you are? Because you are most definitely both, along with a fantastic touch of crazy... Just enough that it drives you ever forward to push yourself more and more each day. You earn such serious respect, too, because you caution your non-stop, steely determination with very sensible safety measures that you share as freely as you do everything else. You are so positive and inspiring! I've been bedridden for years, only able to walk very small distances (within a few rooms of our house) with a cane or slightly longer distances (to my doctor's) with a walker. I've been watching your TH-cam channel since you started and even before that when you were guests with others I also greatly enjoy (Magnus, Tom, Juji/John, etc.). Your spirit is so generous and kind that I look forward to every video, no matter the topic. I've even decided to get an outdoor walker (with a seat for when I get faint so I can sit down before blacking out!) and have set a goal to be able to use it to walk around and see all of the farm life on our tiny farm that I've never even seen! Thank you! (Also, you do a GREAT job communicating and we love your accent and when you speak in Russian! I hope you are having a wonderful day!!! 💜💚💜💚
Honestly, the smile on my face when I get the notification that Anton Fomenko has uploaded a new video, is indescribable!!! Love everything you do man!! Keep it up!!

Anton Fomenko I thank YOU Anton. Your behavior leads me to try to become a better person while dealing with other people. You're keeping me positive I wish you and your beloved ones just the best. stay healthy stay safe
Anton! Don't feel bad about failures! Showing how much you try and are persistent before succeeding is much, much more interesting than people who only show themselves doing well! Determination is much more impressive than other videos that just show the best attempts of people. Keep it up!
I like your honest approach to training, you give off the vibe that you are open to anything at anytime, but you still have a commitment to get better, I wonder if the reason why you can be so open is because you are so committed? Anyway good stuff it would be cool to have a camera angle from the hold itself
Hey guys, As an experienced climber I have one more "how not to rip your skin" tip. If you use your skin on bars/holds/hangboard the thick skin region starts to appear. This thick part of skin sticks off, and due to this - it is strongly pulled on next attempts. This is why you rip your skin (most of the time). Solution is to remove it and you can keep going. Use "pilnik" (polish word, check in dictionary). It might of course not work if the reason of rip is different. This tip lets me train and climb hard and I never use tape (which tape is expensive so it's another good reason to know about it). ;) BTW of taping. This is another thing from climbing, that you could not hear before. Why do we tape fingers? Usually when the skin is bleeding... to be able to finish something. The second reason is when we have a very thin hold (almost like a knife) and we are not able to hold it bare skin because it hurts really badly (you will never encounter such hold in gyms, people would not use them). But there is also a training reason. If you know how to tape your fingers, then the tape slightly takes the load. This way your tendons are treated with a bit smaller external forces and you get less micro damage. It's not a lot, but for large capacity of finger training it might be a saver! And the last thing - adjusting grip. Even advanced climbers often do it when they do routes onsight, just because they don't know the hold yet. For redpoint attempts we get rid of adjusting by learning how to hold those holds. It's not to save skin. It's to save energy, because each adjustment costs time and it uses some strength. But of course it also helps to save some skin, I'm just saying that it is not the reason why we try not to do it. :D
You're a beast anton. Keep at it bro. Also, I love the portions of your videos on magnus' channel, when you give inspirational quotes, or positive advice for people who are reaching a plateau or a rough spot in their athletic lifestyle. You should continue to incorporate more of these little pep talks in your videos! Good work!
OMG, you struggling with the word "variable" is the most adorable thing ever xD, had to replay it a bunch of times, haha. Love your accent and to be honest you have an amazing vocabulary but it's endearing to see these moments where you struggle a bit.

So rad!! Also I dig that you showed all of your failed attempts. I have often wondered what training looks like for athletes of your caliber. Its inspiring and encouraging. I just started following Magnus’s videos. Love you guys 🧡 Extra tip for avoiding tears that works for me is, I sand down the areas on my palm and fingers that are getting thick with a nail file. It has made a huge difference in my climbing.
It would be great if you created special video with detailed info about your closest goals (like tournaments) or videos with deep diving in your recent results, cause its so difficult to find this info across Juji's, Magnus's chanel etc. Thanks for video as always, keep it up. Its an amazing feeling witnessing your dedication :)

About this people asking for you to make home workout videos, i really like your content because it is unusual, so i wouldn't really like you to do the same thing that lots of people are already doing, i would prefer you to keep doing these videos, and i believe you like them more too.
i absolutely agree with the "grab in the right position" advice. i remember getting in a disagreement with my buddy at the gym when lifting weights about that. i always thought that if i felt like i was gonna rip my skin i was grabbing the bar wrong and if my fingers couldnt handle the weight i shouldn't be forcing it to an awkward / dangerous grip.
Thank you for explaining different grips, I keep automatically over reaching my grip on a bar because I think it will help but now I know why it just hurts! lol Also you have inspired me to film my strength progress from my current weak state - including all fails because I see that it's the whole story that is so inspiring... Keep doing what you love and I hope you and your friends and family stay safe! x

Good stuff Anton. You say you're not very good at giving tips, but they were pretty clear to me. Thanks for keeping us entertained while this blows over. Stay safe out there :)
Hey Anton, could you do a vid on the mini trampoline? I’ve seen a lot of people at my ninja gym (me included) who struggle getting good consistent launches from the trampoline. Mainly getting enough height or distance or a combination of the two. Keep up the good work 👍🏼
Anton, I really enjoy Magnus and when you showed up with him it was double the fun! I'm constantly amaised at how much punishment that you can tolerate! I know that this is a proud Russian trait and that it is a part of who you are. I would like to suggest that you consider another point of view that has the "benefit??" of many more years, and that is that your joints that you work hard now are the same ones that you will have when you are 40, 50, 60, 70....etc. That is unless you are into a lot of surgery and rehab. Also, a second pad on the floor would probably save some wear and tear on your brain, among other things...lol! Be well, you are a treasure! From the hills of West Virginia, USA.
Ok so here’s antons tips for not ripping:) 1. When you go to catch a bar for example, sometimes you know you’re going to rip. When you even get a thought or feeling just tape to be safe. Better to be safe than sorry is the old saying 2. “Don’t adjust grip” try to grip what ever you’re holding with the least amount of ripples and rolls in your hand. Go ahead and place your hand on something and feel what is most comfortable, you will feel when you are over lapping your skin and when your skin is flat on the hold. ( just to visualize this) imagine taking the skin on the back of your hand now pinch your skin BUT make sure the middle of the pinch is inwards so it looks like a ravine, or a U, the outside of your skin should be touching. Now just pinch... painful right? Well thats what’s happening to your palm 3. “Don’t over grip” You can apply this to the second one but it s a tiny bit different. Use the same example with the U shape right? But imagine friction involved or imagine rubbing your skin together while pinching. It sliding across a surface... not good. I hope this helps Anton!! I know when creating a video and can sometimes be hard to just go to immense detail (ESPECIALLY WHEN ENGLISH ISN’T YOUR NATIVE LANGUAGE). Great job man I watch all of your videos and will be when ever you decide to stop. Love ya and keep it up man! Its all gold!
For that front flip I would focus on slowing it down as much as you can. That radial acceleration is working against your fingers along with gravity. You may also get better by trying to engage your fingers as soon as possible to help you slow down during/after the forwards rotation. (edit: you can also get more elevation and less forwards momentum and see if that helps too. As it gives you more time to flip and more time to slow yourself down on the way down once you grab the ledge.)
I’ve seen Lattice Training use the climbing tool you’re talking about at 10:24 to test some of the top rock climbers, and I’m sure plenty of others with all the coaching they do. Pretty neat to put well-measured numbers to such a specific type of strength.
Love the content, man! You really show how much time and dedication is needed for all the cool stuff you do. Regarding the flip not being functional. It reminded me of flips in long jump. Apparently it has the potential to make the jump more efficient. But they were banned because of the potential for injuries. So maybe the flips are functional?
This is the first time I've seen your channel. Very nice man! I only know you from Magnus' videos. I really like your sense of humor, and your chemistry with Magnus but the solo video was really good too. I worry about injuries for you though brother. Even Russian gymnasts are human, be careful!
Just to let you know Anton. I never struggle to understand what you mean when you are trying to explain something. You English is really good!!! Keep up the great content man
Nice video! But just don't push yourself too much, it is okay if something doesn't work out. Magnus said he has never injured himself because he knows when to stop pushing, I hope you do as well!
By the way Anton, the ledge that registers how much force you deliver is probably the Lattice training stuff (they're climbers from the UK). Not sure which exactly but they have developed a ton of material to do tests.
Anton you should talk to "Lattice Training" they've worked with Magnus and a ton of climbers but they have that computer and hang board setup that tells how much power you'll pulling with. That was a crazy gap jump🤯👏
Shell Shocked Farms I think he more so wanted to see the applied force for his landings on the cliffhanger because of how far he leaped to land them. Essentially see what his fingers need to sustain. Although it’d be cool nonetheless to see him fair at lattice training
The best technique for the long distance trampolin jump to the cliff hanger is to jumper harder than normally so you have to absorb the momentum or force with a negative pushup to not smash into the cliff hanger and than you need less force to hang on the cliff hanger. It is like you did it on the 11 attempt from 4,2m (11:10).
Hey buddy, very nice video and awesome effort on those tries!! I’m wondering if you know the name of the climbing device that you were just talking about.. Thanks Anton
Love the video Anton! I was wondering for how many hours you train for 1 session? Do you always go a specific amount of just until you are tired? Also, i never see you drink any water or eat any foods in between sets. Do you drink and eat and don't show it or do you have a big post workout meal? I hope you see this hihi. Peace from The Netherlands
totally unrelated to all this, but your new haircut makes you look so good haha. definitely makes you look younger, cuz your old hair looked like it was weighing you down
11:12 I was watching your successful 14ft grab you were jumping more at the ledge and less height. On your unsuccessful attempts, you were coming down at about a 45 degree angle compared to almost horizontal when you successfully did it. I think that way you have less downward pressure on your fingers, so the key seems to be getting enough speed on the run up and less height when you jump
I hope this video keeps you positive!🤘
Be smart. Stay safe. 🙏
And more chalk ✓
Time to buy a camera gimbal🙂
If I've learned anything from Magnus is that you gotta at least eat a bag of chalk for breakfast before you attempt these :P

By the way Anton, the ledge that registers how much force you deliver is probably the Lattice training stuff (they're climbers from the UK). Not sure which exactly but they have developed a ton of material to do tests.
TheWateringWiz yeah! ImPact scales...

the sofa and the chair montage 😂😂
I've been waiting for this one for so long! Thank you.
@@nikolabeleski7003 ahhh! I gotcha, yeah that makes sense😂 I would like to know what he can pull though🤷♂️
That intro with Anton launching himself at the board was hilarious
i love that you start the vids with Yay!
My man learning new words and shit, good stuff
First tip saved me 🧡
The best technique for the long distance trampolin jump to the cliff hanger is to jumper harder than normally so you have to absorb the momentum or force with a negative pushup to not smash into the cliff hanger and than you need less force to hang on the cliff hanger. It is like you did it on the 11 attempt from 4,2m (11:10).
9:33 It's another sound from the sky!!!
Hey buddy, very nice video and awesome effort on those tries!!
I’m wondering if you know the name of the climbing device that you were just talking about..
Thanks Anton
You know you love watching Anton do ninja warrior when you like the video before it starts. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for providing a good escape from reality .
Thanks for the tips. You explained them very well.
This may be the best channel on utube
I appreciate the inclusion of the metric system
Anton, your videos are invariably great! (try that word haha)
Always a pleasure to watch you displaying your skills and sharing your insights.
14:14 the lights magically turned off
Man... Evebody around here pays atention to everything in the video haha
Fran Sondón sensors.
you explained it well bro dont worry, love the rick and morty tshirt too !
Lovin’ the new haircut man!
youre insane anton.... keep it up!!
The haircut and trimmed beard looks great👌🏻 also Anton when will you do a Q&A video? I gotta know the reason behind all the Rick and Morty shirts😂
Anton my man you are the best keep going!
9:33 this is why you don't eat burritos before working out.
Really cool video, as usual!! Thanks for keeping us entertained during the lockdown 👍
totally unrelated to all this, but your new haircut makes you look so good haha. definitely makes you look younger, cuz your old hair looked like it was weighing you down
The music is awesome on these videos
Kmaya Sobru thank you! It means a lot!🙏
Nice video Anton :)
Love your new haircut!
Anton man you a G keep them videos comin
Try a backflip to the Cliffhanger - should be a much softer impact when you get it right! :)
Keep up the good spirit and all the best to you!
Ninjury warrior. Ha ha.
You are excellent at explaining things.
