Hey Jerry & Lynn. Me and Mrs. Papaw are coming for our 2nd Ajijic visit August 14-20. We’d love to buy your lunch one day and do a collaboration video of some kind.
Hey Jerry, I just listened to the Unconstrained podcast where Myles interviewed you. I always thought you had been in the construction business! Being in business myself now for over 22 years I'm getting ready to hang it up in 2 years or so. I'm in the process of building my retirement home in San Nicolas de Ibarra, just east of Chapala and getting my finances in order to make the move. Anyways, great interview and very informative... Hope to meet you someday.
I use cucumbers to make excellent water. I peel the cucumber, cut it up in to chunks, squeeze about 3 seedless lemons and put all the mix in a blender. Blend until all mixed. Strain the mix and place in juice container - add 1.5 liters of bottled or Bonafont water. Add sugar of your liking and taste. Excellent refreshing drink.
Your garden looks so nice, I’m sure Philip will agree it’s because Jerry is guilty of using “ ROUND -Up “ On his veggies. Oh sh#@ here goes lake Chapala again. Yikes ! As usual Jerry, I always enjoy you vids. Best wishes from Texas

Unfortunately if you know how things work in Mexico, there are no programs to treat sewage water from Industries or cities. all is dumped into rivers. one of them is Lerma. Well sounds like you have a troll 😆. Anyways I live next to Lake Superior. Fished the lake and it's tributaries for years. Much of the shore was unusable and nobody dared eat fish from the harbor due to pollution such as PCPs and yes, sewage and city run off. Sea going ships dumped their bilge water in the harbor and introduced invasive species and boaters launching boats carried invasive species from other lakes. Thank you for explaining the water situation at the lake. I have been interested in moving to Lake Chapala and was concerned about the water. This makes me feel better. Lake Chapala sounds good 👍 thanks again
The problem in the lake chapala is because the river who's have contact with the lake chapala are connected with factories and they drup their garbage to the rivers. That's why chapala is durty and we can.t swimming on it
Paul you should go down to the Chapala malacon on the weekend and let the hundreds of people who swim there know about that. Alternatively, you could get some newer information.
I was actually SURPRISED when I was at lake Chapala to see fish and people swimming... this was out by the "Jesus the Fisherman " Statue along the waterfront. Anyways I thought the evening air coming off the lake was lovely and barely even had a hint of "fish"... but was not at all unpleasant There were many ducks and Pelicans eating the fish... so yeah... while we all wish everything in the world was clean and perfect it isn't! Here in Oregon the Willamette river has historically had warning signs posted to avoid swimming due to pollution... However many efforts to " clean it up" may have helped over the years. By the way... Love seeing your gardens... :) Great video!
I've heard those claims about the water from that man. He's out there... I don't think we have any unpolluted water where people live or crops grow. It's just reality. By my age, I'm already "hit" so I should just enjoy the days I have left and not live in unfounded fear.

From everything you say I have to feel very sorry for the poor fish that have to rely on that water for life…Hope you don’t eat the fish from the lake…
Just a comment on the retirement experience. Got the pitch 20 years ago about the diversified portfolio that would be worth a million. After four major downturns in the market still haven’t got there. This is with advisors on the Barron’s list. Bottom line. Your advisor may give you gains. He will also give you losses.
I don’t have a financial advisor. The Unconstrained Podcast it’s not a solicitation for anything. And I agree with your assessment of advisers, that’s why I don’t have one.
Have you heard the old bromide about bromines? Supposedly, compounds of bromine leach into Lake Chapala (from volcanic rock I guess) and then evaporate, which is said to have a calming effect on the human nervous system. Until I see something authoritative on this, I’ll not take it seriously.

I resonate with a lot of what you have done. I also bought property in Mexico on the pacific coast. With a thought 💭 of one day of retirement. I still enjoy the good old usa 🇺🇸. And have also discovered an amazing spot in New Mexico that I also bought a property. Currently residing in the Midwest I was amazed with the State of New Mexico with also looking at it as a retirement home 🏠. As for the water there is a movement to clean alll our waters so i do agree with what that person said and you as old news have a blessed life. You create a soothing feeling enjoying your home and garden and I think you for that 🙏🏾
You sure are blessed with an excellent view on the lakeside sir, I´m looking foward in visiting both Ajijic as well as the San Antonio malecón area. Saludos from Tesistán Zapopan!
Señor I must tell you that Phillip Fernandez is not being sensible. My apologies you had to go through his comments.
Thank you.
I had assumed Mexico's agriculture was free from GMO's and the associated glyphosate needed to produce those kinds of crops. Not anymore?

Conflating -- what a great word.
So I made a mistake, mainly because I don’t have a crystal ball and I cannot predict the future.I bought property in Belize, not bad spots, however with life changes I would rather be somewhere else ❤️🌺
From everything you say I have to feel very sorry for the poor fish that have to rely on that water for life…Hope you don’t eat the fish from the lake…
Nice Veggies!
❤️❤️❤️🥂🥂🥂🥂
Just a comment on the retirement experience. Got the pitch 20 years ago about the diversified portfolio that would be worth a million. After four major downturns in the market still haven’t got there. This is with advisors on the Barron’s list. Bottom line. Your advisor may give you gains. He will also give you losses.
I don’t have a financial advisor. The Unconstrained Podcast it’s not a solicitation for anything. And I agree with your assessment of advisers, that’s why I don’t have one.
People beware.
Don’t spray any insecticide on your garden, you mean old man! Lol
You made me hungry.🍆🍉🌽 have a good fourth!!
Have you heard the old bromide about bromines? Supposedly, compounds of bromine leach into Lake Chapala (from volcanic rock I guess) and then evaporate, which is said to have a calming effect on the human nervous system. Until I see something authoritative on this, I’ll not take it seriously.
You are late today, saludos desde Los Ángeles
beets? do you actually eat them? ikypikyyuki
Hola, been enjoying your video’s for awhile now, I used Mitzi as my Realtor when I arrived here in March from Arizona! Thanks for referring her in your past video. Purchased a new build house in Hacienda 1, glad to be out of the Phoenix heat 🔥.. forget all the naysayers, many of us find your videos very informative. Keep on keeping on… 🌺
They are great pickled.

Lake pollution causes grey hair! But don’t let that worry what’s on your mind today. 😜
According to my mirror you are absolutely correct.
