a twentieth of those shares is 12k real (24k in 5 years if they rise like light bending man says) and roy got them off you for a 700 real streetlight. roy is the real businessman here
I expected this to have an intentionally pathetic and unceremonious ending like the fascist quest did, but no it actually has an incredible payoff and a nice redemption for Idiot Doom Spiral
I liked the fascist one maybe the most, obviously not from any identification with that shit but just from a literary perspective in that it kind of ended with a weird move around the fascists of Revachol, understanding their deepest fears that drive them (even Measurehead, whose entire outlook is a combination of being beaten by his father and claiming ethnocentrism as a post-colonial identity in a world which had a very different history to ours. The Semenese obviously had a shit time of it!) and concluding he's broken but just the least broken. The result is ending up with an only-kinda-fascist Nietzschean outlook to it all, and even after that still has his thought cabinet tell him when he's being "the icebreaker" is deeply fucking stupid It's really such good writing to give you a choice in all of these things while knowing even the piecing together a person who at the heart of it is deeply insecure and vulnerable and desperate to cling to something that can make sense of the world around him, that even at his most resolute still has had a lifetime of memories he can no longer even access that let him know deep down he's wrong for it
@ILoveEvadingTax Measurehead is the only character that manages to pursuade Harry that his ex was an asshole and Harry must move on. Measurehead's advice is very cryptic but mostly correct. I think Fascist vision quesy is the most difficult one to understand, but it tells something vital....
I wouldn't say (because the game was published before the NFTs appeared in a form we are all familiar with, but it can be said that they are already used in the fictional world of Elysium). But he explained the simplified definition. If we were to say that street lamps are a metaphor for nft, we would be partly right, the real metaphor of nft is that piece of cardboard that lets us know to whom this remarkable specimen belongs.
not entirely, that is more or less just how being an art collector works. However NFT's attempt to replicate this process, despite there being no real physical copy of the "art." It is a very solid coincidence though, and considering the Ultraliberal path is full of the catchphrases that these trade addicts are so keen on its very ironic how close it got to the mark.
@@baaaldur I don't know. At least the fascist one was funny. I mean talking to Measurehead about holding in your sperm as the secret to being "alpha male" was very sad, but it was so sad it was funny?
Maybe boring, but definitely not the most depressing. Harry actually gains something from this one at least, the rest just end up making him worse off, maybe even killing him, or doing nothing. Grindset, baby.
Hi, I noticed that your video with the Disco Elysium Soundtrack was taken down. I used to listen to it to read books or when I was working, is there some other platform you posted this on or another way to access it? I'd really like to listen to it again.
Because, with no offense to the voice actor, but I absolutely hate how just one man voices all of the 16 skills + misc voices. His delivery is so slow and bland that I'd rather read (and make y'all read).
So you start the quest by underpaying a a poor artists, but also buying some random shit she made to steal from you. You don't really care about the art, for you its just asset to sell and you look for some rich morron that you happen to randomly luckily find. However they have the same quest and same voice in their head so they don't give you money but another worthless piece of paper you cannot be even sure is what they told you it is. And what is it? Its nothing but the representation of an asset just like the art piece, only this time it represents control over a company you didn't even know existed. For you though its just a piece of paper. So you go to the pawn shop and use it to bamboozle another person with selling some shares (that happened to actually be real) In to selling you another thing you view as just asset but its too heavy for you to even take from the shop, so they had to put a note on it, that its yours. Showing how its all about control over stuff. Also showing that the money you got are real and they have real power over the people, by giving the drunk a job and Kim dialog, but also not helping you to get the woman you love. I think this is pretty nice critique of capitalistic ideology, thanks for the video.
You mean the Signature Skill? Well, for the 1/1/5/5 I went with Volition because I was afraid I'd run out of Morale. And you *will* run out of Morale if you play a full-blown facsist.
I recommend 3,3,2,4 and don't talk too much to people or read books or press bubbles unless you absolutely need too until you get the thoughts Jamius de vu de realization, wompty dompty, caustic echo then you can go around pokeing bubbles and chatting up and interacting with everything. With your signature skill for Inland empire ( for your best friend) the only stat you need that might be hurting is Shivers but there are plenty of thoughts to up the cap on that. Other then that , Phy is not really important.
It might be tough not taking shit compressor. But really it's worth save scumming for that, oh and let go of the card from your ledger and don't worry about the special armor except for the gloves.

The line "I'm richer than GOD" had me cracking up
wow
it's amazing that even your statue changes!
my statue had a ton of disco balls and a staff in order to depict my superstar disco cop
really appreciate the editing style in this thanks for making it so efficient to view the whole thing
"how will drinking impact your performance" asks the detective, currently intoxicated on 4 different substances
his very dour face is very accurate to how I'd be feeling that wapped up

26:11 Is this... is this a reference to the NFTs?

Art has been a way to artificially hold wealth, often tax free.
The lamp thing is both funny and makes fun of the player.
God this is the most boring and depressing of the vision quests. Good work, thank you.
I personally just sent care for the backtracking in this one especially.
More than the Fascist one? Depressing, I mean?
@@baaaldur I don't know. At least the fascist one was funny. I mean talking to Measurehead about holding in your sperm as the secret to being "alpha male" was very sad, but it was so sad it was funny?
I could actually finish this one, at least. I wasn't even able to make it through the fascist one.
Maybe boring, but definitely not the most depressing. Harry actually gains something from this one at least, the rest just end up making him worse off, maybe even killing him, or doing nothing. Grindset, baby.

Why is this the only political vision quest video you made without voice acting?
Because, with no offense to the voice actor, but I absolutely hate how just one man voices all of the 16 skills + misc voices. His delivery is so slow and bland that I'd rather read (and make y'all read).

Which skill is recommended in the character creation for this build?
You mean the Signature Skill? Well, for the 1/1/5/5 I went with Volition because I was afraid I'd run out of Morale. And you *will* run out of Morale if you play a full-blown facsist.
