    I've rehabbed a lot of aluminum boats and outboard motors in past 4 decades. I'm about to partake in my first complete toon restoration. Your channel is hands down, THE BEST , pontoon informational videos on the internet period. Thank you for your precise, detailed how to's, and tips!     YES YES YES, Thx soooo much. had this pontoon 8 -9 years never ran into this. Mechanic put it all the way up in trailer mode this time for the first time... You saved my A#$! Charter this weekend and another Memorial day. You the man.......

      So glad this was helpful for you! I have had my own customers call because I had their motor in the trailer position to prevent it from bouncing or damaging the trim cylinder. Now you'll never had to worry about it again if they do the same thing in the future!

    Does Mercury have some sort of built in trim sensor ? Can't find the trim sending unit , wondering if it's the gauge or I just don't have a trim sending unit 😂

      That’s a great question. From my experience it’s a coin flip. Some motors have a sensor or sending unit from the factory and some require a kit to be purchased separately and installed. Your best bet would be to get your model and serial number off the motor and call Vans Sport Center. Brad in parts can help you out figuring out if your motor is equipped or not, and can ship you the kit if need be. I use them for all sorts of outboard parts, accessories, and more!
