I love donkeys, too. If you eventually rescue keep in mind that donkeys should have at least one other donkey to live with. They get very depressed otherwise. Love your videos.

you are in a beautiful area there at the top of the mountains, an alternate lifestyle means 'slowing' down, living this way is hard work but you do it at your own pace til you start having animals... the wild flowers are amazing & wish i had that; stop stressing over things out of your control, things will happen eventually & even the builders will get there too, just book them in so it does happen. your trees are doing well now, perhaps put 1 or 2 raised small raised garden beds for a few vegetables; just had a thought for your septic outlet, cos it's always moist, mint would grow well there as would other water loving plants. also who needs animals when the neighbours animals always visiting you :)) loving your channel thanx for sharing
another question about the roof, will you be changing it out completely or are you planning on fixing it back to original, which looks like stone/slate?
@@selinab8532 We have to keep the stone slates, because the house is in a protected area. So we're going to take them off, install a new ceiling and put insulation and then put the existing stone slates back on.

Ces plantes sont très envahissantes aussi votre structure indépendante est très bien car vous pourrez mieux contrôler le développement. Chez moi c'est autour du garage et c'est parfait. Si vous plantez près des arbres les kiwis vont pousser tellement que les arbres vont étouffer et les récoltes seront difficiles à faire parmi les branches. Je vous souhaite un bel été !
I have now watched the whole video, had to stop several times as i had so many comments, loved the video loved 😢 missing the cows segment really raised awareness on the downsides of the dairy industry. Loved the dogs glad they are both ok 👍. The swimming looked amazing so glad you found time to enjoy yourselves 😊. So glad you were able to find some good building suppliers with good advice. Here are couple of book recommendations 😊 The great alone by Kristin Hannah is one of my favourite (audio) books of all time. Also Wellness by Nathan Hill.
I had leaf curl too and it was in the spring. Since it is not the right time to use the other treatment, I am doing the following which seems to help: chop garlic and soak in water overnight. Strain water into sprayer. Take the curled leaves off and spray all surfaces, including leaves, branches, trunk and soil. Do this when rain isn't forecasted for a couple of days. Once a week for 6 weeks. After the first couple weeks I got a bunch of new leaves after 3 treatments but the curl started to come back so I am treating again.
It's the same here in South Africa, timber homes can be more costly to build than brick, because of the timber prices, and lack of people who have the knowledge. It's just a niche market and more for garden sheds and structures.

Yes, we wish the works on the house could take place sooner because it’s so true that comfort is fundamental! As for the cows, they do rotate around but we’ve chosen to not have them coming to this land as they would cause too much damage to the plants etc. We love having them as neighbours though 😊

I feel with you because of the migraine, i also suffered that many years, you can try to use a plant its name is in our language "Mutterkraut", translator says in spanish it means "matricaria", dont know if this is correct, but this plant helps against migraine. you can have the plant in your garden and have tea of it or you can buy pellets of this plants which you can take them every day.
We got rid of a lot but not all unfortunately. We’re waiting for the weather to be better to do another round and be able to keep the windows open for a bit 😅
Why don’t U get the app on Your phone that U speak into it and the phone will speak any language U want . my son had people use it in his store work good
We're in the permit process for the other land, but since it's a protected area, this will take a couple of years. So in the meantime we're living and working in the place we're in now.
