Hot tapping branch size DN150 on a cast iron main pipeline under pressure using a steinless steel saddle. Water supply network containing water in a pressure of 7 Bar.

You will not have any issues with the tapping sleeve ,or the gate valve, or any of the valve assembly (yes including bolts and gasgets) in your lifetime. You'll have an issue with the water main that they used to tap before any of that new installation fails. Don't lose any sleep over it🖒

Good vid, except you need to tighten the bolts in a cross/alternating pattern. Per OEM specs and industry standard.

Why Don't you weld a sleeve with a flange to the pipe anda then connect valve and the drill. That piece can lose its function as seal overtime
