Simple Green HD Pro is their best cleaner. Zero etching on even aluminum and can be used on food preparation surfaces. (non toxic) The solution is purple. Home Deep sells it! A few months back I bought one in PRISTINE condition on eBay for $22. Before I use it, I want to make sure the drag is the best it can be. If the leather and Teflon washers are done, would you use new ones or go Carbontex? Where would I get new originals if that's what you'd do? And only grease the leather, and not all three? Thanks! Yeah... I used these when a teen in the 70s too. Bought a Pristine 7000C for $25. That will be next. And thank YOU for the DETAILED video. Much Appreciated!
Thank you for the tip and for watching! I use to use the aviation grade simple green but it got too expensive As for drag washers, if you can get carbontex that's a really good smooth drag. If not, someone might be able to cut new Teflon washers. I've been lucky so far and not had to replace any. I always use cal's on leather and fiber washers, but not on Teflon
