As much as I love all the seasons that followed, something about season 1 was so unique.
It's the mystery of Emma not knowing magic is real jus seemed more realistic and we could put ourselves in her situation metaphorically

all of season 1 was focused on Emma who having to believe that magic existed to break the curse, And Henry was with her for the guided but she was obstinate to refused to believe it that the magic was real.
and when the season 2 at started, Emma at learned to live with magic and at began to accept her destiny
and she has ended up fulfilling her destiny by becoming "the savior"
this scene is very touching
It's very beautiful to see Regina and Emma's love for Henry

This was the most beautiful scene of all the seasons of OUAT. That's undeniable.
No other true love kiss happened AFTER we discovered with Emma that all the magic and stories were actually true. The series changed from this moment. It wasn't anymore speculative of magic.

I always cry with this scene, I love my mom so much that I can feel the power of True Love. I like in OUAT they take the topic of love more than the romantic type; parents, brothers, friends, sons, etc.
Ya know everyone in this fandom has fought over whose in the right, whose in the wrong. Meanwhile no one thinks about how it must have been for Henry. He was torn between two Mothers he loved equally. Emma and Regina didn't end their fighting for a while, and even then it was on and off. Neither of them really understood how he would have felt. So before people go on about how bad Emma or Regina are or who deserves to call Henry their son, can we please remember that it's not them it's about Henry.

I'd say he appreciates them both for different things, but he loved both as his mother. He even loved the Evil Queen and was grateful to her as his mother, in the end. And that was wonderful - but we should also take note that the story may be skewed because Lana Parilla had to fight tooth and nail to have Regina and Henry's relationship explored and maintained. They just wanted the bio mother to roll in and for Henry's entire life experiences and good memories with his adoptive and longest mother invalidated the moment Emma showed up. @@soixsantes

Notice the look on Emma’s face while Regina tells Henry she loves him, an obvious disdain sure, but almost a look of interest, as though she’s realizing on some level Regina truly does love Henry
of course than regina love henry, He is what than she loves most in her life.
and she has decided to give up evil when henry is came into her life

This is why Emma & Regina needed to get married & they could live happily ever after with Henry.
TBF, that curses did not actually make everyone suffer. Regina gave them real jobs, a free doctor license, and a free PhD degree...
The Curse took away their _identities_ , forced people (including married people) into other men and women's beds without their consent, made them helpless against Regina's bullying, left them trapped in one place and unable to even understand that they were trapped, it left pregnant women pregnant for years on end and blocked their minds from even recognizing it, it separated parents from children, husbands from wives, siblings from siblings. Yes, it made them suffer.
The most touching scene in season 1. It's crazy for some to say Emma & the Charmings have no rights to keep Henry. In real life situation Regina would be locked up behind bars for attempted murder, gaslighting a minor and so on. Not to mention Gold made the adoption happen because Regina didn't want to wait so it was probably an illegal adoption. If anything Regina had no rights at all over Henry. But Emma & the Charmings knew believing in Regina would change for good means so much for Henry. They didn't take Henry away but simply removing him from her care as she wasn't fit. He was so much happier with Emma & his grandparents too. But I'm so glad Regina in the end became an amazing mum and both mums can be in Henry's life

cora was cold and cruel and she wanted to control the life of regina.

Three years later (Started watching OUAT in 2021) and this scene still brings tears to my eyes especially in another scene when Emma started saying to Regina “You did this”

They both love Henry and just want what's best for him.
Um...no. Emma wants what's best for him, as best she can figure that out. Regina's wishes are more complex and contradictory. She wants what's best for him...on _her terms_ , which doesn't work.
Sure, it was just magic (something that is beyond our world's understanding), but I forget that here, Henry was actually medically, clinically dead. Pretty scary when you think about it.
I cant help thinking how much seeing this and the filming might have messed up the actors actual parents and possibly other parents on set.
I like this show very much 🤠

Aurora slept one hundred years under the same curse And She was ok after given the true loves kiss. Leroy saying what he said was his unexperience with this kind of magic. Plus, Regina herself told Emma that in their land magic works unpredictably And that it could cause death

it is complicated, he was dead because of poisoned cake but the true love saved him
He was clinically dead. His soul was trapped in a netherworld between life and the afterlife. So it depends on your definitions. Probably his body would not have decayed, but otherwise he'd have shown no trace of life.
