Ryann Magalhaes well it's not that he would have a bunch of defense or health just the Normal end game stats, but the thing is he would dodge everything you do.
peao010109 As people have said, the Queen Bee now drops Beeswax, which can make pre-hardmode Summoner gear. Also, once you get to Hell, you can use Hellstone to make an Imp staff. There is, of course, the VERY slim chance of a Slime Staff too, and if he finds a spider nest, he can make an early hardmode summoner armor from the spiders there once he gets to hardmode.
I understand that a summoner playthrough would be possible, but would it be entertaining? Until you got the Tempest Staff you'd have to have a secondary weapon for boss fights, and until he got to the jungle, unless he gets lucky and gets the Slime Staff, he'd have to use normal weapons. So I understand by looking at the poles that the majority of people want a summoner playthrough, but I suggest he waits on that till they add a bit more to the class. Me, personally, am doing a ranger playthrough by myself, and it's very fun, so I hope he choses that. Just my opinion.
ClawedWithRegret Well he did have to do a bit roughhousing with a sword until he got enough magic in his mage playthrough, and honestly summoner class in Terraria isn't suppose to completely rely on their summons, they should have weapons to fight as well. Kinda like a warlock in World of Warcraft. They fight alongside their minions. otherwise you're just wasting damage potential. Least that's my opinion. -shrugs-
I struggled to beat him the first time. I died a bunch, but I eventually beat him with Spectre, Razorpine, and Hoverboard. Getting a Flarion from him makes it so much easier. I had him on farm. And then my character glitched and I lost everything...
you know its kinda of amazing to see yrimirs channel really grow i remember subbing at around 11k and now he has really grown from 0 to 170k that amazing still gotta say great job yrimir keep up the great work

I wouldn't want to play a summoner and let the minions kill everything, since it sounds really boring to play (and then also boring to watch). I want to play a summoner where the minions are crucial to the dps - but they won't do everything. Wouldn't Hagrid protect his friends, the minions? :)

Yrimir, I have a suggestion for the name of the Summoner character. Joseph. He was the main character of an awesome game by the name of Summoner, in which he was cursed/blessed with an innate ability to summon demons. I thought it would be a fitting name.
I think I know why this bug happned. Noticed npc start spawning in? Npc dont do that when a boss is summond. So duke fishron is classed as a monster not a boss

Considering the music here. Just to inform you Yrmir. Maybe you'd be interested in some nullsleep? (Unless you've heard it already) But 'Nullsleep - Supernova kiss' is astonishingly awesome! And great video, one of the best players in existence if not the best. And maybe we could see more archer-based things since we don't see that so often anymore?
I'm seeing people have trouble with it so I'm going to explain. You need to have master ninja gear for that double tap dodge move to get out of the way of him. Its essential for the first kill. Next I used beetle armour but turtle will do you fine. Then get your hands on a stynger or megashark. I used stynger, but both are fine again. (megashark must have crystal or better bullets) Lastly, the most important part is the skybridge. Must be atleast 2000 blocks long with campfires dotted around it for that life regeneration. Other items: Greater healing potion (must) wings, lightning boots (you may struggle with spectre boots). All other accessories are purely down to opinion, make sure they are appropriate though.
I would personally like to see either a fishing play through (water related items only) and the playthrough goes until you have defeated fishron and gotten the golden fishing rod or a ninja playthrough
Just to reccomend for anyone who doesn't want to get hit sometimes during the fight I reccomend using masterninja gear, you have a chance to dodge attacks and dodge them yourself from press a and d twice ax2 will make you dash to the left dx2 will make you dash right.

Summoners are terribly boring and very similair to mages, you should do the archer one! You rarely see a good archer playthrough.
