  • Demonstration of how flexible the BENTEZH high-range module system is.
    The FOSTEX FE108EZ Sigma is good enough for most people. But if you need more distance pressure or to expand the diagram - you have to add some super tweeters.

      I feel once you will try Open Baffel you will never go back to a box only downside is room should be medium to large for small rooms not great since I need to get the speakers out 1 meter minimum

      @@anandshah71 I'd love to get away from the one-note boomy boxed subs and have more detail and nuance in my low end. I wonder what some ideal bass driver for an open baffle setup would be? Closer acoustics BOB looks great but it's specifically tuned for their OGY crossover-less speaker.
      If I had the money though, I'd just buy the $4000 Fostex FW800HS 31.5" minimal excursion driver -- probably wouldn't work well in open baffle but it doesn't need it. I've heard it's the most detailed bottomless sub drivers in the world. No rattle or boom, just ultra revealing/resolving bottom end.

    Well, with this other video, I have answers to the questions I asked you on another video, it shows the importance of the placement of the midrange box and the tweeter and the influence on the linearity of the bandwidth, it would be the same with a measurement on the horizontal directivity, it is very instructive!
    And there we speak only of curves, with listening that must affect terribly the sound scene as well as the fusion of the high medium registers with the bass!

    Well, next cool experiment would be moving your mic +-20 inches. I guess we'll see many weird effects on a graph. That means all these time-and phase-alignments are room- and distance-dependable therefore worth nothing in real world scenario until a listener's ears are glued to a sofa.

    • @bentezh
      @bentezh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Correct! But thats enough to move it less then 1 inch. At least it is shown in the video. 4mm of replacement changes everything.

    This is really cool, I just wish that I had that kind of test equipment and gear; mics, real time spectrum analyzer, etc., because that would eliminate a LOT of the guesswork and extensive time spent with trial and error in trying to figure out which setup might sound best when I'm trying to design or improve a speaker also!... I would absolutely LOVE to have this ability!!...
    What kind of equipment or test device(s) are you using for your real time analyzer display?

    • @bentezh
      @bentezh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you.
      You can use any external sound card and measurement mic to make this. I used Komplete Audio + SuperluxECM999.
      And REW of course.

    • @JoeJ-8282
      @JoeJ-8282 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bentezh Cool, thanks. I'll have to look more into that...
      But actually, I guess I really need someone who has a setup like this already to show me exactly how it's all done, because I'm totally "old school" and I know absolutely nothing technical about computers or how they can be used for this sort of thing, and I don't have money to buy this type of stuff either... I just experiment around on my own with thriftstore and cheap second hand speakers and a basic multimeter, which is all I have to work with...
      However, I still definitely know and appreciate what really great sound quality sounds like when I hear it, (I have a really good "ear" for tuning audio stuff), I've just never had the money needed for buying any of the really good and cool stuff... so I just do the best I can with what I have. (i.e. really good ears and hearing at least!)
      BTW, what are all of those things you mention?
      What is Komplete Audio
      What is SuperluxECM999
      What is REW?

      @@bentezh OK, cool. Yeah, sounds like all I need after that is a computer... All I have rn is my phone for internet, but a computer would allow me to do this kind of stuff too... And someone who knows how to set it up for me... But I'll also have to find that stuff you mention to add to it, and luckily the software is free, because that part usually seems to be the most expensive part of a computer... Where did you get that software for free? (What website or ?)
      Edit: I Googled it and I think I found it at "roomeqwizard.com"... Is that the program you are using for this?

    А як на рахунок фазо-частотних характиристик такої системи? У стандартній акустиці при проектуванні одночасно ФЧХ та АЧХ налаштовується, а тут по ідеї з фазами буде біда, хоча АЧХ буде рівна.

    • @bentezh
      @bentezh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Якщо чесно, то на АЧХ можна нАЧХати. Найкращий спосіб налаштувати ВЧ діапазон в такій конструкції - це сісти на місце прослуховування та попросити когось повільно пересувати супертвітер. В якийсь момент ви відчуєте наче вода із вух витікла. Але працює це лише для однієї точки у просторі. Іншими словами - ідеального варіанту для всієї кімнати не існує при більш ніж одному динаміку.
