    Hi Yan.
I am very impressed about your construction, both the sound and flexibility! What amp do you use? A known construction? It plays fantastic on your speakers.:-)

      Hi Helge.
      Thank you.
It’s a DIY “box” of DAC based on x2 paralleled PCM1794 chips and the AB class AMP 80W/ch - a clone of one of the best British amplifiers (I can’t name it in terms of copyright respect).

I love your style! Been looking at those Fostex and Fountek drivers before. They seem to complement each other nicely. On another note…. I hope the current political events in your region won’t affect you negatively! Best of luck!

Now I know the WAR is “political events”, thanks
Let me guess, nuclear bomb is just a “chemical reaction”.

Wow just wow. Great work with the video. I’m very much NOT an expert but what about comb filtering and fase alignment? Seems to me that stuff will be hard to get right with all them different boxes.

Thanks. At least, depending on the listening spot distance along with the listening angles, the speakers can be easily adjusted on ears compared to a regular fixed drivers speakers. Regular speakers has the same issues to be solved, but there is impossible to make it at all. In modular speakers there are a lot of things to play with like rotating, moving, or turn off the supertweeter, or rotate it 180 to play 10-20kHz to the backward.

Forgot to mark the main thing about the filters and time alignment. All the main sound info is played by the full-range Fostex and other two drivers are supporting it where its weak - above 10kHz and below about 250Hz. Those frequencies are not so critical for the alignment compared to regular speakers with 1-5kHz crossover points.

@@bentezh huh makes sense I guess. Thanks for the ultra fast reply 👍

No problem. Another important thing in acoustics is your personal listening conditions. Are you tired, how long were you sleep, are you listening at night or day, what music genre you are listening. All this aspects affecting your personal sound preferences. And my versatile speakers brings a lot of freedom of adjusting the sound by drivers directivity or even ultra thin gain adjustments of each driver by connecting it in different terminals without affecting the impedance or total tonal balance.
But, the truly main aspect is that human is always want something new or different in some period of time. Place the speakers in landscape mode and you will be happy as you have something new. Or listen just the FR driver, or FR+woofer. You will never be bored. I have this speakers for about 2 years and I was placed it in a huge variety of placing combinations. Its fun. Along with a really balanced sound.
      Sorry for the longread.

@@bentezh I am using the same crossover points (250 and 10k) but am using a minidsp to crossover at 250 (between SEAS woofers and Mark Audio MAOP 7 full range) and passive at 10k (same tweeter as you use). The minidsp can do crossover and time alignment. With your design time alignment is easy because you can move the drivers and align them if you have a microphone and some dsp software.
