Hello, I love how you have changed your motorcycle, for me it is one of the classic 350 best equipped to enjoy and travel, continue with that adventurous spirit and may God take care of you on the roads, one day in this life or the next I will have my motorcycle and We will see you on the roads, a warm hug from the Cuban Caribbean.
Nice video, thanks. The main reason why I am thinking of replacing my Metor 350 with the SM 650 is precisely the lack of power when it is needed most, i.e. on more or less steep uphill roads, even more so if you want (or have to) overtake cars or, worse yet, trucks. From the tests I have read and seen, this problem does not exist with the SM 650. It means that I will bear the 45 kg of extra weight!
Great video Marc and fabulous scenery/weather. I agree, those little 350s aren't meant for boring motorways, they just love ambling along the scenic back roads and in such style, especially your Classic! I've had my Hunter 350 for 15 months and have done just over 6000 miles. I serviced it a few days ago and nothing bad to report. Spark plug perfect colour and no adjustment to the gap required. Inlet and Exhaust tappets both needed tightening up a very small amount 0.02mm. Changed the air and oil filters and the oil which still looked clean and I haven't needed to top up over the 6000 miles. It's still returning about 116 miles per UK gallon and I haven't needed to adjust the chain slack either after the first tweaks in the first 500 miles or so ..... but, I do keep the chain well lubed with 'blue scottoil' Probably one of the best bikes I've had ...... you just need to remember it's only 20BHP. Ride safe Marc, all the best, Phil (UK)
Hi Phil, sounds as if you had very good experiences with your RE Hunter. Even my Classic has just 20HP I still like it a lot especially on country roads. Have a safe ride! Cheers Marc
Great stuff Marc👍. Its what I always do Marc . Solo camping trips on my little 350classic is my battery recharge time. Relaxed riding, set up camp have a beer and read a book . Love it.
I love mine. I have 8800 miles on it and every one of them is a treat! As you say though it is not a highway motorcycle, it is a back road tourer all day long. I bought it for what it is so I am happy with it. The only gripe I have, as with most motorcycles is the seat is only comfortable for about 60 miles. Going to have the stock seat done with better padding and no I can't have the Touring seat because I am just about touching the ground properly now. You do a great job with your videos, accurate and informative. Thanks 👍
' Sam' is obviously a ' lowlander' with some nice gentle hills occasionally, to exercise the engine. Some stunning sights and a beautiful day, the drone work adds a greater dimension and the music adds to the classical beauty, very enjoyable. Quedlinburg, one could spend a lot of time here , so much to see, so much history, it is fortunate that these places are there for us to see, Germany, has a lot to offer. I hope your body recovers from your tour, fair weather, fair winds , look forward to seeing your next adventure, thank you Marc.
Hi John, you are absolutely right, the Classic 350 is made for country roads in the low lands not for the Alps. It is a lot of fun to ride and gets you in a relaxed mood. Germany has a lot of beautiful places to visit and great roads for motorcycle riders. Thanks for your kind feedback and have a nice week. Cheers Marc
Another great video Marc, what was the name of that damn you crossed, we're doing our annual Euro Trip in July and have pencilled in Leipzig on the outward trip and Bamberg as a possible stopover on our return journey.
I test rode a 350, it was so comfortable to ride, especially compared to my RE 500.. As I took it up to 60MPH it made me think... If it only had 5 more horsepower, it would be perfect.
I sold RE 350 😀 and discovered the Vespa GT200 for me! Man, what a great riding feelings! You're from the Scooteria channel, aren't you? Great channel, with a ton of useful information!
@@Marc.Stones By the way, before selling it, I put hitchcocks performance camshaft stage 2, and in my opinion it not worth it. So, for personal usage I wouldn't advice this thing, more over of your tuv(decat required for proper cam work, imho), but as a channel content it's up to you, of course. Thanks!
i noticed you have quite high black handlebars, are they a standard fitment or did you change them, if so, did you have any problems with cable length and brake lines, also cast wheels, were they on the bike when you bought it, only asking because i also have neck problems as standard bars always seem too low for me from a pain point of view. enjoyed the video .

I even enjoy having to change down a gear or two, I think it adds to the the reality on back roads.
I agree about the 350, its not the destination its the journey
Wonderful ride along! Great scenery and video, Thank you

enjoyed the video .
I changed to the touring handlebars they are delivered with longer cables. The aluminum rims are Royal Enfield accessories.
Mükemmel 🙏
Nice video and your bike looks really good with all that mods, one question is that handlebar the touring handlebars from Royal Enfield??
Thanks, yes it is the touring handlebar
@@Marc.Stones is it comfortable and provides a upright position??
For me much better than before 👍
Hi Marc ! You do great videos i now you also hava a Vespa . I have a choice to make because my garage is to small for 2 bikes and a car .

Hi, both are great and a lot of fun, I would prefer the Vespa, better riding position and super easy to handle.
@@Marc.Stones Tank you for the answer i go for the Vespa 👍
Versatile motorcycle.. touring? Ready city ride? Ready.. moderate off roading ? Ready
You can do everything with it very versatile small capacity bike.,
Nice episode
