Hi, this is my testimony. I am a 55 year old menopausal woman. A year ago, I weighed 190 pounds. I started watching Dr. Fung’s videos about intermittent fasting. In February 2024, I started one meal a day. I now weigh 152 pounds. I only need to lose 3 more pounds. I had Hashimoto’s. My antibodies have gone down by 40 percent without medication. My blood sugar is optimal. All my biological markers are optimal. I got a life insurance policy for my kids and got a preferred customer rate because I am now so healthy! It is not hard to do. Dr. Fung should get a Nobel prize for his contribution. Thank you, Dr! 💕💙
@ You can do it! What I feel works the best is to implement small changes. Start with one small change. Then make another small change. I tell you: the compounding effects of small changes over time are mind blowing. I believe in you!
I got type 2 diabetes in 2011. I refused diabetes treatment with drugs. I changed my lifestyle, first of all my diet and managed to achieve diabetes remission. 14 years have passed since then. My sugar has normal values, I don't have any consequences of diabetes. My mother, who is now 91 years old, also achieved this. Greetings from Serbia.
@@rickyb8636 Thank you, I congratulate you too. I would like official medicine to explain why it treats diabetes 1 and diabetes 2 in the same way, when they are two different diseases that only have the same consequences. Why is type 2 diabetes treated with insulin when the patient already has too much insulin in the blood?
Dr Fung. Based on your videos, this is my 4th year that I droped diabetes drugs including insuline injection twice s day. I lost 25kg and My respect Dr Fung.
Fasting has saved my life. First time in my life that I found something that actually helps me lose weight. The inches come off like crazy but the weight is the hardest part. I have lost over 90 pounds. I have more to go and I will get that weight off too. It is the only thing that works. Intermittent fasting and a low-carb diet absolutely correct it works.
I’m 71 and had a health emergency in my late 30’s. After going from specialist to specialist and only hearing about drugs with lots of side effects, I went to a Naturopath. Everything you two are talking about now is what he taught me and I turned my health around. In my mid 40’s I took Holistic Nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. The alternative side has been preaching all these things for years and main stream doctors, except for a few, are deaf to anything but drugs. I’ve watched everything Dr. Fung has posted and have been intermittent fasting since July 2024. Never felt better!
I had blurry vision and poliuria. Now avg. glucose is 92. No doctor and no medicine. Thanks to Dr. Fung, Dr. Lustig and Rev. Dennis Polok (beat diabetes).
YES!! Get rid of the term 'insulin resistance' (because everyone and his dog has a different reason why it happens - divisive and confusing) and substitute 'hyperinsulinaemia'. So much easier to explain the rationale for management
Dr Fung and Dr Lustig, do you remember this Chiffon commercial selling margarine, where Mother Nature didn't like the product and said, "It is not nice to fool Mother Nature." And lightening strikes. That commercial seemed very prophetic.
My sister Susan has stage 4 Breast cancer as diagnosis with mets to lymph nodes, liver and lung and later developed a rare form call Medullary thyroid cancer, she have just 2 years to live and she never been this scared to die, she just 35, i cry everyday wishing for a miracle to happen. i don't know why im saying this here. put me in your prayers.
If someone adopts a fasting lifestyle, my guess is that breakfast foods are the ones most likely skipped... Also people will eat less and kick sugar addiction and hunger. This adds up to a negative impact on big food. And big pharma.
Dr. Fung. I have a question for you: I did IF and lost 10kg over 2 years. Kept the weight off for 6 years. Then listened to fitness coaches who said it is not beneficial. It is all about calories. I gained the 10kg back within a year. This week i started IF again. Insomnia is killing me. I remember having Insomnia when i was doing IF before but until tonight i didn't link the two.... It is the same feeling. Not hungry but agitated. As if i had a red bull before sleep. Is there any solution to this problem?

There is nothing wrong with intermittent fasting except for it’s hard in that it requires self control.
Will probably lower high blood pressure. Liver heals during fasting. Liver releases Angiotensin so messing the liver up is detrimental
